Great job. Also, the next time a customer insists they will drive it out themselves, you might tell them this story, and politely decline the job if they won't let you do it. 🙂
i could be wrong but I'm sure it had to do something with the insurance co just employees can drive their equipment as for the recovery that looks like a salvage job that needs to get done ASAP
I'm here from from Casey's. Great recovery. From yhe first time the propane driver turned the wrong direction i knew there was gonna be trouble down the road. As someone elsr said, when a driver makes those kind of mistakes, kick their buns out of the drivers seat, and give it back when you get to bare pavement. Some people just shouldn't drive in the snow.
Excellent Recovery. Saw you on Casey's channel, part 1 & 2 of this recovery, and came over and subscribed right away. Looking forward to more videos. Thanks for posting and sharing.
Same here! All I can think to myself was how much the bill would be for all this, all because 1 person didn’t have enough sense to say no, I’m not going to try driving up this snow covered mountain. Even after having a state employee say, I think we should turn back.🤦🏻♂️
Troy, you have some really mean equipment there, and you earned every cent of whatever the invoice came to. Fantastic job and very professionally done. Well done Sir. p.s. Blame Casey for sending me over to subscribe to your channel.
As a firefighter, I’ve been on this same call. Propane company ended up bringing a truck out and transferring all the propane, then we had two rotator style heavy wreckers come out and pick the truck straight up, rotated it upright, then set it back down in the road. This was on a mountain road, but not in these type of conditions. Great job.
Yeah, they did a really good job of finessing that truck back upright and onto the road. Stupid people would have just grabbed it at one point and pulled hard.
I don't know much about these trucks, but I wonder if I am correct that that with that much flexing, the truck is structurally compromised and should be scrapped. I know steel is resilient but that was a lot of flex, looking like that truck was going to come apart.
Really enjoyed this video! It was great watching you guys do this job. I really liked you guys referring to this job as an adventure! We can see it definitely was! Recovering a damaged fully loaded propane truck that has slid off and rolled over the side of a snow and ice covered mountain service road definitely requires a proper skill set and the use of equipment suited to the task at hand.
When I saw your trucks had tire chains, and you also brought your bulldozer I knew you had your right stuff. Thumbs up to you sir from a simular Alaskan.
Very much thank you for posting the ending off the propane recovery!!! Hate not being able to see how thing end!! Great job!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Troy did an absolutely outstanding job here! To the point that I I wish we had him here in NW Montana for our Logging Industry Rigs & heavy-equipment…. That every winter it never fails, not a snowy week goes by that a logging rig doesn’t need help from a fella like Troy!! after watching all of Casey‘s video and this one, it has prompted me to subscribe to Troy‘s channel and watch every video he produces and hit that like button!!
I saw that John Deere and my first thought was that you really need a Caterpillar D8. Then everything went so well that I decided I was wrong -- until you were using the crawler to hold the propane truck back while going down that hill and I saw it moving forward but the tracks moving BACK. Now I'm thinking a D10!
Awesome recovery! Very impressed with your whole team. We don't see incredible recoveries like that out here in coastal Virginia very often, if ever. Immediate subscriber with link from Casey. You gotta keep the videos coming. You are a natural TH-cam star.
So Wise , Thank You . A fine example of the Right equipment , the RIGHT People . Not to forget the Propane tank that did NOT leak or Blow up. I also came from Casey
I also came over from Casey channel. That propane company and insurance company both should be charged out the @$$ for this recovery. Outstanding job guys of both channels
I just joined your Channel today I seen the video you did with Casey today getting a camper Out of the Woods from the homeless camp but you only have 10 videos I'm going to watch them all to support your Channel I enjoy watching recovery type videos really anything Automotive - car, truck, recovery, repairs, projects, ect...
It’s cool to see the wrecker in use. I was an Army driver. We had wreckers in the company, but the mechanics drove them. We had an 800 series when we had deuce and a half’s, Hemtt wreckers when we had 5 tons, and also when we had PLS. The hemtt weren’t rated for the PLS according to the mechanics. When one broke down, a het moved it. Sometimes they were in our convoys. One of our PLS tipped over in the soft dirt while in Iraq, they used an M88 to recover it.
@@troysOffroadRecovery I was also there when a PLS got stuck in the mud, same with an 88 that went too close. A second 88 stayed back further and pulled them both out while they were still tied together. I have a picture with about six guys dragging the cable out there. Impressive machine.
That made for a long, cold, tedious day! So thankful take 2 went better. Thank you for filming this, I know it just added to the load doing this but I do appreciate it! Stay safe and GOD bless
In the first two videos with Casey I was wondering who in the area would have an M936, M62, or an M819 wrecker and make the job so much easier. I could only think of sparks motors and they would be a long haul to get there. Obviously the right equipment for the job and the right experience pays dividends.
Great job Troy!! You and your guys did a fantastic job.... TWICE!! Saw parts 1&2 on Casey's channel. I'll bet that propane truck driver is NOT going back up there anytime soon!! LOL!! Thanks for the entertainment!! Great stuff!!
Just wanted to let you know I was helping you upright it to put it back on the wheels. I kept turning my phone on a angle while you pulled it. My only problem now is... where do I send my bill? Lmao 🤣 🤣 🤣 Good job!
Amazing how this saga unfolded.........I had a job for over 7 years, and it involved taking fully loaded 68,000kg B-doubles into open cut coal mines in the Australia. The mines made us fill "in pit" bulk tanks that their graders, dozers and dump trucks (Cat 797 etc)fueled directly from. The mines had wild ideas of how much mud a highway heavy semi could cope with........and their water cart drivers didnt help by putting stupid amounts of water onto the dirt haul roads. It was sometimes really dicey, they routinely change the roads, intersections and have specialized road rules called "hierarchy". Nice recovery video, thanks ))
One hell of a Technical Recovery, Kudos, Casey linked me to your channel. I agree with the Comment, either your guys drive the Propane truck down, or you leave it where it is.
Absolutely fantastic job by you and your crew! I too, am a Casey subscriber and I am now subscribing to your channel. Super to see the community and helpfulness that you all share!! Look forward to more recoveries from you and your team. Thanks for sharing this final chapter of this incredible adventure!!
Holy big ballz of big boy recovery toys!! My heart was racing watching all of this. Fingernails gripping into the armrest of my recliner on the verge of an anxiety attack. Wow. The way that propane truck flexed like a limp spaghetti noodle while they tugged on it. I need to go watch some Bob Ross to bring my heart back down.
Wow. What a job. Everyone seemed to know what to do and when. I wish the customer had let one of you guys drive it out of there though. I hope that driver isn’t having nightmares about it turning over. God bless everyone. ❤️🙏🙏👍👍❤️
Very well done by this crew. The fault lies entirely with the propane company and its inexperienced driver. Love that Army 6x6 wrecker. That's old school. Before rotators, this is how difficult recoveries were done.
Welcome to the YT world sir, looks like you have some awesome toys erh I mean equipment, I bet Casey is sitting back saying I told you this would get a ton of views if you posted it. Well keep it up, this is just the kind of stuff a lot of us like to see, might even be Casey and Matt's off road level of famous if done right.
Who else got here thanks to Casey 😂
EVERYONE since this is his only video.
Yes, but late night algorithm took me to Casey's video
Well we had to see part 3 😂
Me , and not regretting it in the slightest bit , either
Yup and all because dude driving the bottle didnt wtf he was doing.
That fire extinguisher next to a big, overturned propane tank is the pinnacle of optimism
It's mainly in case something else catches fire but yeah.
😅 oh boy ...
don't need to be putting out fires when it's so cold....
For those fire sources that don't involve propane.
The Amerigas safety guy brought it.

Came over from Casey's channel to watch Chapter 3 of this adventure...Great job. Helps to have the right equipment to do the job.
Awesome! Thank you!
You guys made great use of all your equipment. Gave you a sub ! Thanks for bringing us along
And qualified operators that would have more than likely avoided the situation in the first part.
Great job guys, thanks to Casey for introducing your channel.looking forward to following you going forward.
Seems he created this channel after helping Casey. Hope for more content soon.
Awesome! Thank you!

did the same myself
You put @heavydsparks to shame! No drama, no idiot in a pickup and no scam sponsorships!
Thanks
And he did not forget the key 60 miles back lol
This takes me back to my Army days, extracting stuck trucks from places they never should have been. That recovery truck is the best.
Nice to see YOUR trucks properly chained up. You got some cool gear Troy.
You fellas earned your money on that one . 👍🏼👍🏼 And tell Casey thanks for putting a link in his video
Thanks!
Troy, Kudos to you your crew and you. This is one of the most difficult recoveries I've viewed. Cheers, Mate.
@ 9:00 Sliding down the hill with the tracks in reverse was impressive. 👍🏼
Wow. That was about the toughest recovery possible. The right team with the right gear got it done.
Yes indeed - great team!
Thanks for taking the time to record this Troy.
Military wrecker at work! Epic!
Looked high and low for part 3 of Casey's story and here I am. Subbed....
