    In the first two videos with Casey I was wondering who in the area would have an M936, M62, or an M819 wrecker and make the job so much easier. I could only think of sparks motors and they would be a long haul to get there. Obviously the right equipment for the job and the right experience pays dividends.

    As a firefighter, I’ve been on this same call. Propane company ended up bringing a truck out and transferring all the propane, then we had two rotator style heavy wreckers come out and pick the truck straight up, rotated it upright, then set it back down in the road. Amazing how this saga unfolded.........I had a job for over 7 years, and it involved taking fully loaded 68,000kg B-doubles into open cut coal mines in the Australia. The mines made us fill "in pit" bulk tanks that their graders,dozers and dump trucks (Cat 797 etc)fueled directly from. The mines had wild ideas of how much mud a highway heavy semi could cope with........and their water cart drivers didnt help by putting stupid amounts of water onto the dirt haul roads. It was sometimes really dicey,they routinely change the roads, intersections and have specialized road rules called "hierarchy". Nice recovery video, thanks ))

    Impressive recovery! You and your crew really seem to know what you are doing. I'm no expert, but it definitely looked like a lot of thought a preparation went into that recovery.

    Very well done by this crew. The fault lies entirely with the propane company and its inexperienced driver. Love that Army 6x6 wrecker. That's old school. Before
    rotators, this is how difficult recoveries were done.

      Thanks, Yes the driver was an idiot. Hopefully soon we can start upgrading the military wrecker.

    Nice recovery! Seems like that propane company really needs to invest in some driver training for poor weather conditions... or better drivers.

    That looked like a lot of fun. Is this truck going to be a write-off? The frame looked like it was getting really bent while it was getting flipped back over.

    • @alanmumford8806
      @alanmumford8806 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I can't imagine that truck would be anything other than a write-off. The unnatural stresses put on the tank would make it completely untrustworthy, plus the twisted frame, pipework and the work to recover that inverted engine.

    • @gmwPaul
      @gmwPaul ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is my inexpert thinking. I can't imagine ever putting that frame back in service. The bending and twisting was crazy.

    • @imchris5000
      @imchris5000 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@gmwPaul you would be surprised. most frames will flop around like that you just never see it because you only see them when they are on the road at worst that truck will be shipped to africa or the middle east were they will strip the frame straighten it sleeve it then back into service under even more harsh conditions

    Honestly, the propane truck isn't in THAT awful of shape for having fallen off the road like that, I'd have expected more damage than that looks.
