- At Taksim Square in Istanbul there are many restaurants selling Doner kebabs. At this place 'Taksim Doner' the staff are super friendly and even play tricks like the Turkish ice cream men.
The chicken doner kebab was extremely delicious.

He said 12,000,000 Turkish liras because in 2005 Turkey removed 6 zeros from the prices/wages and adopt a new system in the currencies. So, many old and middle aged people still say 12 million when it’s only 12 liras. That’s the reason. 🙂

Turkey is such a beautiful country
It would be better if the Turks were also fair to tourists and did not always try to cheat them on the restaurant bill, especially the taxi drivers who always try to cheat the tourists wherever you go in Turkey, especially Istanbul, they always try to cheat .
Turks who live in other countries such as Germany and have Turkish restaurants are much more civilized and much more humane than those in Turkey.

The reason he said 12 million is before 2005 Turkish lira had 6 extra 0’s (zero) in it as an example 1 Turkish lira used to equal 1 million Turkish lira. Thats why he said 12 million but it actually costs 12 turkish liras

Omg I've been here with my partner we are also from Scotland the food is so nice in taksim and this place has good shawarma/doner wrap. Also go to Mado (anyone there's a nice one in taksim) and to Istanburger in Fatih. Also check out the lion Park ( Aslan park). Make sure you go early don't get stuck there😊
Big tip in turkey always eat where there is people cus lots of places they use cheap meat it can be poisonous sometimes and this is real I am from turkey
