Also worth noting that unless you're selling most of your weapons, it wont be long until you've scrapped enough that you won't need any more parts for a while
So based on the replies to your comment I'm getting this: - You get more scrap by going to a bench. - BUT it doesn't take much scrapping before you don't need more anyway, so you might as well go ahead and just scrap on the spot without a bench to save time. - Always upgrade your weapons and armor at a workbench, though, because it costs less.

First thing I do on Epic Games is to disable cloud saves in the settings tab of the Epic Games loader. Apparently, this setting will prevent the 'Cloud Conflict Disaster' which results in the "Epic" loss of hours of game play. Interestingly, Private Division (Epic Games) is vehemently opposed to this tack, yet they offer no advise on how to keep the "Cloud Conflict" from happening again, other than "Good Luck".

I’ve done nothing but play this game for 40 of the last 48 hours- I am enthralled. This game is Fallout meets Bioshock in space and it completely makes a terrifically fun game!
I noticed that too. I haven't heard anybody talk about the AI yet. Going to wait for more information on that before I buy. I hate enemies that just stand there.
Yeah AI is not impressive tbh. They react if they are close enough but otherwise won’t notice … i compensate bad AI with higher difficulty. also i noticed the world and even the buildings were kind of small. But that said game is fun

Because it lets you kill whoever so you can fail shit kinda whenever unless they’re 100% necessary for the story orrr optional stuffs like oh go kill him but then he gives you good reason not too and he gives you a different quest that makes you kill the other guy type stuff I assume
I entered a town last night and accidently shot a friendly faction and they all murdered me and I respawned outside the town and I never saved when I spawned.
Is there a way to get to max level without going the psychopath route and kill every living thing in the galaxy? I've reached the end of the game and finished all the quests and I'm only level 30.
I have faith in the future of video games again. It’s been a dark few years but finally a decent game has been made that actually lived up to expectations.
Really don’t underestimate the importance of dialog skills in this game. They open up a ton of possibilities and even money and xp if you use them right. Also science skill is good.
Love your stuff Matty... sincerity is a dying currency in which you are rich! Much appreciated! Question: Have you, or has anyone in this thread figured out how to add the whisper quiet muzzler to a rifle? I have the hunter's rifle, but it won't let me add the whisper quiet muzzler to that rifle because it doesn't allow me to add barrel mods to the rifle. Weird! I can't think of a weapon that is better suited for a silencer / muzzler than a rifle!
As of right now, none. Some reviewers mentioned crashing once during their 30-40 hour long playthroughs but that's it. And that's without the substantial day-one patch.
Back to report. So... Might I say I love the game and from what I've played so far warms the heart. However, there is this one annoying bug... No matter what skin tone I pick my character is always the polar opposite of whatever I choose. @@darealistkeyes i havent tried it, but my friend owns it, and i watch him play alot. Damn I can't say how I missed games like this. I'm only a few hours in, but I'm loving it to bits. I won't talk about 76, because I haven't played it, but to get the obvious comparison out of the way: Bethesda Games will always have a special place in my heart, which makes the path they chose for their games even more hurtful for me. I remember the "classic" Fallout games as games where you can really do what you wanted to. Want to play a pacifist charisma build? You can do that. Sneak past enemies, rely on your companions, talk your way out of violence. Huge roleplaying options. Play the character YOU want, not the character the game wants you to play. The Fallout series died for me and many others with the release of Fallout 4. It was a buggy mess up until the point where they released the DLCs and that shows how greedy Bethesda has become. Little to no roleplaying aspect whatsoever and if you play the game long enough, you will always have the same character, a jack-of-all-trades, who is too OP for everything the game throws at you. Remember the Deathclaws and the threat they posed in older Fallout games like Fallout 3 or New Vegas? In Fallout 4 you absolutely destroy a Legendary Deathclaw after 30 minutes into the game. I remember how sad I was after experiencing that, because seeing a Deathclaw in the other Fallout games was either a tough fight or guaranteed death. And don't get me started on the dialogue choices. Pump up charisma and you'll always be prepared for every dialogue in the game, because there are only speech checks, no medicine or intelligence or anything else. I never finished Fallout 4 because of that. The Outer Worlds is everything I wanted Fallout to be since Fallout 4. A universe with interesting characters and places, quests that aren't your typical RPG fetch quests and feel important, fun combat, perfect dialogue design, really good writing, important choices, graphics are not perfect, but good in an aesthetic perspective, there's little to no bugs, almost no performance issues (except for cities, but that might just be my PC) and so on. So just about everything Bethesda failed to deliver. After everything I heard about 76, I'm just not excited about Bethesda games anymore. I don't think I'll buy another Fallout or even Elder Scrolls Game (which I also really loved until paid mods were introduced, wtf Bethesda). But I already know I would buy an Outer Worlds 2 on release.
Could you imagine the backlash if this game came out as a fallout game. The lack of open world, all the useless NPCs walking around, the oversimplification of gameplay, the weak loot and crafting. The limited weapons and armor. This is hardly the Fallout game we all wanted. I'm not saying this game is bad in fact it is pretty fun, but this game isn't Fallout and again the point I'm making is that if this was all there was in a new Fallout game the pitchforks would have already been out. What this game does do well is the dialogue system with NPCs it which is more akin to the Fallout 3/ Oblivion dialogue style and that is always nice to see.

And that starts a fight
Definitely getting the new Vegas feels playing this. Theres nothing groundbreaking goingon yet, just really good dialogue and the game just feels polished and has a neat style that I'm diggin.
Im so hyped for this game cant wait to play it
Buy the pistol "salvager's friend" off of Gladys on Groundbreaker and level that sucker up. I LOVE that gun. I call it the one hit wonder.
Supernova is really difficult. I wish they tone down the negative impact from thirst and hunger. -5 dexterity and sneak is ridiculous for being barely thirsty!
I did the opposite I forgot about myself but gave my companions all the good loot which I often do forget about my own guns and armour
Thanks dude ! Just got game yesterday and Love it ! I only do RPG's - sky, bio, fall,Dishonored style ! 👍
Question! What level of engineering can we breakdown items on screen with the analog. No detail in the skills screen and I won't to decide if I'm going to invest the points in it or not.
Please answer!!
Corporate Commander 3:51
Angry Joe: We meet again
Oh never noticed the whole breaking items down right in the container and not having to go through your inventory. I just picked everything up and either scrapped of sold them from the investory
I don't want my character to be persuasive, or charismatic, I just wanna be a straight up liar.
Lmao me 2
@@mosesdouglas4325 Like... if I could turn all if the speech checks into (Lie) that'd be perfect lol
@@kitkat12326
That would be awesome! I love it. Would make for a unique and fun gameplay!
Same, I'm naming my character Todd Howard and I'm going to use lie dialogue at every possible opportunity.
@@shind.freecss3168
Lmao!
I've been debating whether or not I should buy this right away since it's actually pretty short. You're tips alone have convinced me to buy it. Thanks.
Tyler Hassett I just bought new cod and outer worlds of sucked hard and this game was fun
Buy it at Walmart they were both 45 dollars each
very good video. I subscribed because of this video. Time to binge your channel lol.
I’ve done nothing but play this game for 40 of the last 48 hours- I am enthralled. This game is Fallout meets Bioshock in space and it completely makes a terrifically fun game!
The Enemy AI doesn't look like they react to a kill right near them ? Was this a problem ? Nothing worse than AI with no I.
@@DerekDomino71 get the game pass off the Microsoft store, you can play the game for free on it for 14 days.
Nope AI reacts just fine. I sniped some creature and then like 6 of those big gorilla things came chasing me was the most intense shit ever lol. Also had the same done with the humans just they are not too hard to kill unless it’s the heavy armor guys.
This was super helpful, Subscribed and Liked.
Why @7:53 don't you have the 80+ engineering perk even though you have 60 (93)?
My frame rate keeps dropping on my xbox one , can anyone explain how I fix this?
How do I unlock last 3 planets, i have no quest left to do except the end mission "confront Sophia", are they even explorable planets or just static planet
Does anyone know what the blue bar is for in your hud that is to the right of the bar that shows your xp gains for your level? I can't figure out what it's for, I thought it might be for food or sleep or meds but it doesn't seem to be affected by food or meds so I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated, thx.
Is there any way to drag items or bodies like in fallout???!!! Ive been searching everywhere and cannot find this answer. Im assuming its no :(
What happens when you die is it fallout style saves or checkpoints?
Adin Vipond Saves . It’s made by Obsidian so it’s very fallout
Slit Bodmod k thanks how would you fail a Quest then?
Adin Vipond That I haven’t figured out I assume killing the wrong person . Because it lets you kill whoever so you can fail shit kinda whenever unless they’re 100% necessary for the story orrr optional stuffs like oh go kill him but then he gives you good reason not too and he gives you a different quest that makes you kill the other guy type stuff I assume
I entered a town last night and accidently shot a friendly faction and they all murdered me and I respawned outside the town and I never saved when I spawned.
crazyfukka666 It probably loaded a save when you exited a door much like fallout idfk
Is there a way to get to max level without going the psychopath route and kill every living thing in the galaxy? I've reached the end of the game and finished all the quests and I'm only level 30.
How do you get a companion to take loot from a box ?
I have faith in the future of video games again. It’s been a dark few years but finally a decent game has been made that actually lived up to expectations.
Really don’t underestimate the importance of dialog skills in this game. They open up a ton of possibilities and even money and xp if you use them right. Also science skill is good.
5:42 how do you add consumables to your inhaler so you can use them along with the adreno?
Abhay Rana Go to the part of your inventory where your adreno is displayed at the top and select items below to add them
Love your stuff Matty... sincerity is a dying currency in which you are rich!
Just a quick question. Can I unequip helmets from companions? Wanna take a helmet off not swap it
Yes, in the settings menu. You can keep the benefits but hide the helmet on your character, your companions or both.
Any news on any game breaking bugs? I usually wait a month or so after a release to see if a patch but it just looks so fun
As of right now, none. Some reviewers mentioned crashing once during their 30-40 hour long playthroughs but that's it.
And that's without the substantial day-one patch.
I noticed ACG talked about how stable it was for an Obsidian game. He said he hit two bugs in the entire time he played and neither was drastic.
Haven’t hit any bugs yet, not any major ones anyway just small stuff you don’t notice
Back to report. So... Might I say I love the game and from what I've played so far warms the heart. However, there is this one annoying bug... No matter what skin tone I pick my character is always the polar opposite of whatever I choose. Like I tried to play as a white due but each time I restarted I was black in-game... not a deal-breaker but it breaks the immersion for me. I've come to tolerate it and hope for a patch soon
@@LiveToRapRapToLive93 breaks immersion in a 1st person game where you rarely see your character, ugh ok
I sell all armours cause I love the cryo suit you get in the beginning
Is there a way to make the txt bigger?? The only thing thats annoying atm for me.
I just got this game yesterday and I’m dying to get into it. Been avoiding spoilers sins it came out.
Does this game have radio stations like fallout ?
9:15 where is this video?
Ammo types, skills multiple ways to play what is this a rpg
Its been so long that a good RPG was released that i was starting to forget it stood for "role playing game" not "rocket propelled grenade"
Well I know the game Kingdom Come Deliverance isn’t a FPS but it was one hell of a rpg light years ahead of Skyrim in some areas try it out it’s on Xbox game pass
@@darealistkeyes i havent tried it, but my friend owns it, and i watch him play alot. It looks really good, but my main reasons for not giving it a try is that your character is less customizable since hes Henry. And the other thing holding me back, and this is a big one, is its not fantasy like. I love my RPGs to be less "real" as in either having magic and dragons and shit, or futuristic like Fallout, Outer Worlds, or Cyberpunk.
Edit: The exception i made to playing a pre established character is Witcher 3, for obvious reasons
LMAO the grenade launcher uses the same ammo type as the assult rifle get outta here with that bs
It's a near perfect Bethesda game just not made by Bethesda.
Great vid man. Thx!
I feel this will be the new standard for games in the 20s
Looks great! Can't wait to play it!
In my area Wal-Mart is selling it for $49 to undercut Gamestop.
Thanks for the video!
0:04 did they though?
Do you know if you get any xp for stealthing past enemies or otherwise avoiding a confrontation. Sort of like what Skyrim does.
3 min in, I gotta ask, is there a way to holster your weapon? I hope so because I hate talking to NPCs casually when you have a gun pointed at their chest.
Hold the reload button to holster your weapon.
Damn, are there going to be any tips left for me to uncover by the time the game launches, or is it all going to be discovered by those blessed with an early copy?
I'm not watching this video, and you don't have to either if you would rather uncover things yourself!
@@switchunboxing I meant this as someone who makes game guides himself. By the time I play the game, learn its mechanics and put together a video, everyone who received an early copy will have already snatched all potential viewers.
@@Halcylion think outside the box
I just keep all the unique items I found in my ship's locker, no need to sell them or break them down.
Is saving the game, on the fly, like Fallout at any point. Or check points you need to reach before saving progress? Hence a repetitive grind to continue a level.
You can save at anytime on the difficulties below Supernova
Tip 8 get game pass, for $60, instead of playing 1 game, you can have a year of game pass (also 1st month is $1)
will be playing this on xbox 1 (thus no console commands). looking forward to next vid you refer to. Next vid, please let us know where/what is the best scoped, silenced gun for sneaking at the beginning to keep yourself alive.
Was going to get this on epic but epic still has no working achievements.

Great tips, am enjoying the game alot!
