You are right, they are divinely selected. This is a volunteer choir (and orchestra) and I know for certain the leaders select them very prayerfully. Also, the auditions are very rigerous and their knowledge of music is top notch. My husband actually studied conducting under Max Wilburg at university. He said he is a brilliant musician. The exam he talks the most about is the professor giving the students a comolete score, then sitting down at the piano to play the whole score by himself. Then he played what the students directed, mistakes and all. 😮 Impressive and intimidating! That is the caliber of these musicians. And, they are held up by God. ❤🙏 They represent the Church and do so humbly and majestically!❤
There is no cost to be in that very room. Every Sunday morning they preform for free. I have had the chance to be there... if headphones are amazing.... in person is a spiritual experience beyond measure.
This choir is all voluntary. They go through a lengthy tryout and are selected by divine direction. Their director, Mack Wilburg, wrote this arrangement. And when you listen the Holy Ghost is filling your heart with his spirit because they do sing like angels directed by a man who is led by the spirit
Such a beautiful reaction friend. Such a beautiful choir of the LDS church of Jesus Christ. Thank you so much for such a great time. It was amazing.❤️I’ll be rewatching this video over and over again.
The way you explained how you don't just hear their sound, you feel it, is exactly it. I completely agree. Their sound brings the literal spirit of God to all who are listening. So good.
The choir's music director, Mack Wilberg, wrote this arrangement, and many others. He is brilliant. In the spirit of Christmas, you should check out the arrangement of "It is Well With My Soul," which he wrote for the choir's Christmas program a few years back in which Hugh Bonneville (the Downton Abbey guy) narrated.
@TNUELZ It is a tough watch. I am a Corrections Officer that sees the worst of humanity on a daily basis. I am LDS, but I am definitely not a perfect LDS member. MoTab is my guilty pleasure when I need an emotional release when I go into dark places. I am so glad I ran across your channel. Just watched you on another channel, I think it was the Sticks of Joseph, and I have made respect for you man.
I love how much you love it! Listening to them is transformative! It changes us!! They sing with angels from God! They are all volunteers. They do have to try out and of course they are all super skilled musicians but believe me they sing for God! THAT is why you feel that spirit, power and love when you hear them. It’s mind blowing in person!! I hope you can hear them in person one day!
In case nobody posted the arrangement is by Mack Wilberg the head director of the Tabernacle Choir. His arrangements build to a glorious crescendo. He also writes his own original songs. My local church choir is singing 2 of them for Christmas this year. Our choir director is a former member of The Tabernacle Choir and I’ve known many other choir members over the years.
When the 2002 winter olympics was in Salt Lake City, (where this choir is based) John Williams wrote another olympic theme, and intentionally used this choir and orchestra for that theme. Its called Call of the Champions, and its amazing! Look it up if you can.
Sometimes they have other choirs perform with them. Here is one with the St. Olaf Choir. th-cam.com/video/2lOOgl6gzgI/w-d-xo.html The last song is one of the best performances ever! Thanks for reviewing!
What a pure reaction! ❤ If you liked that song from this choir, this is a special choir of children from that same church! You won't regret listening to this! th-cam.com/video/gxjQeqbzVq4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3q_Nm3A-W2IjrdJn
Really? Wouldn't it be better to just listen the song being sung without all the reaction sounds? That's what I'd suggest. Listen to the whole thing quietly and then make comments afterwards.
disgusting comment coming from a self proclaimed christian. If you have nothing nice to say about another’s religion then this platform is not for you.

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing is my favorite hymn! I LOVE it when peeformed by the Tabernacle Choir! I am so glad you enjoyed it as well. ❤
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I love every performance. The crescendo at the end, my favorite ♥️
Wow... Blessings to you ma'am. I sincerely love what they do.

Yes! Have gotten to see them as well in the Conference Center, the Tabernacle, and in Nauvoo when the temple was rebuilt. Always better in person!
Now it's ok for me to envy you. Lol. Wow. I'm sure it's such an experience
@@TNUELZ I just wish everyone could see it live. It is tremendous.

I love when they sing "It is well with my soul“. "This is the Christ“ and "Consider the Lilies“. I loved your reaction.
Consider the Lilies is one of my favorite songs by MoTab..... absolutely amazing
Thank you so much for your kind words and presence. I will do well to check these out.
The way you explained how you don't just hear their sound, you feel it, is exactly it. I completely agree. Their sound brings the literal spirit of God to all who are listening. So good.
Thank you so much for having that understanding with me.

I am a tough guy, but every time I rewatch it, I get emotional.

Hahahahahahaha.. I understand young so well because I can relate to being tough but getting emotional under some beautiful experiences.
Love this choir! I'm a member of this church they're a part of and it truly is a testament of Jesus Christ 🙏
They do a wonderful rendition of Amazing Grace, among other songs.
I will do well to check that out. Thank you so much.
Incredible! Also look at "This is the Christ" by the Tabernacle Choir. Angels singing is right!

You are so right sir. Anyone listening to the depth of their voice must be able to connect to them. It's such a spirited experience.

All volunteers. They do this for the love of their Savior.
Now isn't that beautiful? So lovely

@@TNUELZ Great!!
360 people in the choir. 120 i think in the orchestra. All are volunteers. Choir members can sing a maximum of 20 years or until they reach age 61.
Wow... That's such an amazing thing to Know. God bless them.
360 members
360 choir members. All volunteers, not paid.
Same for the orchestra.
I'm really blessed the more to know this. God bless them.
150 men, 150 women.
Hi N, review HM Correctional Services Choir song Mi Manca LA Voce.
Aww ... I'm going to check them out. Thank you so much.
Sometimes they have other choirs perform with them. Here is one with the St. Olaf Choir. th-cam.com/video/2lOOgl6gzgI/w-d-xo.html The last song is one of the best performances ever! Thanks for reviewing!
The original name was the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, but they dropped Mormon.
I saw that at the end of the video but was confused. Thanks for the clarity

For TH-cam you have to pause it at least once for any music that has been published or is a copyright issue.
I will try that as much as possible. Thank you so much.
Angels don't sing for a false man-made religion. Sorry.
Yes you are right. Thank you so much..
That's why it is true, the Church of Jesus Christ.
disgusting comment coming from a self proclaimed christian. If you have nothing nice to say about another’s religion then this platform is not for you.
Angels will excuse your words my friend. ❤
The spiritual fruits sing out loud and clear that our religion is not made by man. God bearing witness of it.
