I have a FUEL end can with the centre stand stop, fitted perfectly with no fettling required, run it with the baffle removed, sounds ace. Also have a DNA air filter which makes it breathe more easily.
Looks great. Don't know why there are such slim pickings re: slip ons CB500x wise. Even back in 2021 the menu was short brand wise. I went with a Leo Vince, which essentially looks just like your's. I do have a center stand, but fortunately it is adjustable so no issues there fitment wise. My connection was like yours on the mid pipe. I did research and found Permatex Ultra Copper gasket maker to be highly recommended to use where the mid pipe slips on the header and for good measure I also did another bead of it where the mid pipe joins the actual slip on. Recommended cure time was 24hrs. Zero leaks and I installed it immediately upon buying the bike about 8k miles ago. Found that gasket maker online pretty cheap. One big selling point is if you ever go to remove the exhaust its not a giant hardened mess. 'Supposedly' just separates with ease and not much mess on the pipes to clean off. Just sharing in case you develop a leak from vibration down there. Your new exhaust sounds really good. I think our oem exhaust sounded to tame plus the looks of aftermarket are always better.
Good info. I do have exhaust paste but didn't want to use it, as you say it makes a concrete mess. Luckily, so far, after cinching it up post-ride a couple of times it has bedded in. There was an Arrow can I wanted, but very difficult to obtain. Overall it's worked out at a budget to suit... 👍
Should have got a Black widow, the link pipe is built for a centre stand, which works, and endless choice of cans 👍 cheapest £139 (inc link pipe) up to £400 🙂 The graphite gasket is not needed, just use Holts exhaust paste, sets rock solid when heated up to temperature, and no escaping gases.
I did look at it. I didn't like the look (also, may sound daft, I was a bit superstitous about the name - dumb I know). But good to know it fits. There was no need for paste (I do have some). It tightened and sealed after a few rides. Cheers for info, will help others 👍
Sadly the Black Widow exhausts are not road legal in the UK, they don't have type approval nor do they carry the required BSAU stamp, my bike failed the MOT because of it, had to put the stock can back on. 😟
After my CB500x test ride, I wholeheartedly agree with you Codger. Although I'd have left the baffle out, because I'm a hooligan 😂 Stock was just too quiet for me and I found it hard to feel or hear where I was in the rev range without looking down at the counter. I dare say that with a few more miles under my belt that I'd have tuned in a little more and it wouldn't have been an issue. Sounds nice, and looks titanium. Can't complain for that money.
Horses for courses. Round these here parts not drawing attention of the Five Oh is a benefit. I'd take it out up your way. It's not perfect, mainly regarding the centre stand stop position. But it's working now, I got it before the price hike so it'll do... (unless I ever see a cheap Arrow 😉) 👍👍
New to the channel, found you while looking at front 16t sprocket change. What's that GB Racing on your bike where it used to say honda (not very mechanical so I dunno if it's the gearbox case or what lol. ) Appreciate your vids, cheers!

haha - should you - of course you should :D i had a 500F and arrow 300+ leo vince mostly the same saw these and also gpr - ebay at the time were doing a 20% off so went and bought one and it was great - when i bought an nc 750x i bought another the 500 cost 130 and the nc was 160 i think - wind on in 2nd and 3rd induction noise is addictive and the 750 doesnt even rev that high - wonder what it would be like at 12k :D - never have i left a baffle in an exhaust :)

I just bought a left hand one of these for my NC750X so the unnecessary writing can't be seen. I have to say though, decent build quality and materials for the money. I won't be wasting money on overpriced names anymore
Yes I did. My good friend has an NC750 Dct I've ridden a few times. He takes it everywhere, a very capable bike. I chose the 500x on price. It's a 2nd bike and has worked out well for me. Thanks for watching. 👍

That's hard to say. The CB500x is a smaller bike, but with a higher seat. If I was your size I'd be looking at an Africa Twin. You can get taller seats for those too. Great bike, I had one in the past.

Best mod you can do to the bike...the standard pipe is a brick and restricts the power😂 nothing wrong with the cheap Chinese pipe they work fine.
Happy with the can. Not so much with the centre stand stop. If no centre stand it is 👌
I had the Akrapovic rip off Slip on end ... sounded great and much cheaper..
