Mate you have the sweetest sounds 351's I've ever heard! This and the green sedan in your other video sound and go amazing! I'm actually considering a cardinal sin and putting a 351c with a commodore t56 6 speed behind it into a vb-vk series commodore. Will definately be messaging you in regards to exhaust as that's the sound I'd want from it that x pipe makes a hell of a difference
Jody Africa G'day, yes it spins nicely. It's an 1/2" shorter stroke than my Cleveland, so even without the better flowing Cleveland heads and bigger Cam it still does it's best work in the higher ranges. Power peaks around 6k shifted between that and 6500. Cheers.
Thanks Mr357 for your reply 😁 Ive noticed you mentioned an x-pipe on your video comments, in terms of the engine work what mods have you done? Id like to build a 7000rpm Clevo likein that in the future, I have a 2v, just looking for some 4v heads in the meanwhile, Jody
Jody Africa No worries Jody. The specs to the engine and exhaust are in the comments under the video if you have a sift through. If you are on Instagram, find my Page- mr357cleveland as there are a few pic's of the engine and specs there as well. Cheers, Steve. 👍
Mr357Cleveland Yeah man, I'm getting a mate to make up an X-pipe, as you know they're another help in scavenging and 'that sound'; the 2.5" bits are so much more available and cheaper, but that diametre is not warranted for my setup. Really torn on what mufflers to get, was initially going to get my usual straight through glass pack, but have been looking into chambered Flowmaster and Hooker Aerochamber, which is a style I've never had on my 4cyls and 6cyls, but for the V8 donk I can't decide..
superhornet81 I've heard some nice sounding V8's with what the Owners have said are Aerochambers. I've never used them personally, but I like straight through Fibreglass packed Mufflers for the extremely low gas flow restriction they have. I've had troubles with baffles coming loose in Mufflers on other Cars in the past, they sound dreadful when they do! If you build it with Aerochambers, get some video and send me the link if you can. I'd love to hear it. Cheers.👍
Will do man, out of the two chamber style, I am leaning toward the Aerochamber. The Flowmaster doesn't have enough tone for me, a bit too 'hollow' I think. The thing will just be a cruiser, really does not make HP or even see RPM. The header's design and system will be all for low end grunt.
CJ Colvin G'day mate. It's making about 250 hp at the wheels. It's a very mild torquey motor that pulls from idle really smooth but can be taken to 6500 rpm before shifting. Flat tappet cam, home ported iron heads, single plane intake with 650 DP Holley and a 4 into 1 header set up with twin 2.25" exhaust and X merge. Great little streetable mill.👍
Best sounding 302 windsor on TH-cam hands down. Goosebumps every time
Hearing this made my day indefinitely better!
Love how this vid is 3:51 haha.
What a glorious sound
Charles-Dylan Mactutus Cheers mate. I'm glad someone noticed that little bit of editing brilliance! 👍
Reminds me of the sound of the 1970s Bathurst Ford cars going down Conrod Straight :)

It's a 302W, not a 351 anything.
Sounds sooo good!
Smiles per gallon!
Absolutely! 👍
What rear gears are in this thing?
They were probably 2.92 at that stage?
@@Mr357Cleveland car sounds so good, i want to do the same exhaust setup for my foxbody
Sound fucking nuts
Revs nicely, almost like your Cleveland, how high does it rev to?

It's true, it sounds incredible. What mufflers did you use? Just one each side? I'm putting a set of 4-2-1's and twin 2.25" sys on to my injected 302.
superhornet81 Yes, just one straight through non chambered muffler each side. The X merge is a big part of the sound. Cheers.👍

Man that 302 Windsor V8 sounds like a beast man. How much power is it making and what car is it.

Mr357Cleveland That's cool man. Is it dual exhaust or single exhaust.
CJ Colvin Mandrel bent dual system.👍
Mr357Cleveland Sounds awesome mate.
Cheers. The Car is an Australian XY Falcon GS. Glad that you like it.
