40:19 "What is important is getting as much money as I possibly can, as fast as I possibly can." It doesn't get much more ultraliberal than this.
We need to get him to play Cruelty Squad just so he can spend hours selling the stocks
*cross* DIOS MIO, A LIBERAL
Considering how he acts, it's weird to say this, but after a few playthroughs I gotta say... Cuno isn't THAT bad of a kid. It's actually amazing how mature he is. The problem is he's in a bombed out, disintegrating neighborhood forgotten by the cops and basically had to raise himself. Look at that protectiveness over Cunoesse though, and the way he connected the mug and clothing when you brought it up! Under the swearing and drugs and violence he's got a good head on his shoulders.
Cuno is a very intelligent, emotionally mature and aware child. If he was raised by people that cared about him with some half-decent living standards he could have been anything, but he was born in Martinaise.
MAJOR LATE GAME SPOILERS:
While it requires losing Kim at the Tribunal and thus tearing a bit of your heart out, getting Cuno as your partner for the final bit of the game is a VERY interesting dive into his character and something I think is very worth doing on a replay. Kid really needs a role model, and Harry, after working through his own damage, can be exactly that, and help a child who feels like he has no future forge a new path in life.
Detective Cuno would be my preferred canon if it wasn't also the timeline where Kim gets shot. Granted, he's only wounded, but he's still absent for the rest of the game. I wish there was a way to roll with both in the same go, alas.
CUNO DOESN'T FUCKIN' CARE
FUCK DOES CUNO CARE?
Babe wake up Euro Brady posted a new Episode of his Disco Elysium play through
I'm up! I'm up!
yes honey
Hahahahaha
Okay I have to admit that intro made me laugh. Talking about how you can see the world’s effects through the children, how you want to bring Cuno up by showing him kindness and inspiring him to do more than his environment. And then:
“Alright, let’s get some FUCKING MONEY in this depressing world.”
Because I mean, yeah. Yeah to both lol.
Don’t know if anyone mentioned yet, containers are different colors depending on how they’re opened or seen. Green containers are always visible and will always be there, white (blue) containers are locked, use your bolt cutters or prybar, and yellow containers only show up with higher perception same for other yellow things. Yellow=perception. The fence is an example outside of containers.
I never knew this!
This applies for a lot of things - the color of the "Continue" button in dialogue hints at what base skill is about to chime in, the color of the thought bubbles same, and there are even purple and red containers if you're skilled up enough in certain things. Interesting that so many people missed this, the color coding isn't subtle...or I guess once you know about it it isn't..
Cuno is the one that benefits
Obey the Cuno
Cuno bono
I’ve played the game twice and it never occurred to me to give Cuno a book. I genuinely thought the game wouldn’t account for that.
I've played it 10 times and I didn't know that was an option. 😮
I was literally in the stream and got timed out for being COMPLETELY wrong. I never knew the book was a genuine option I always assumed you had to give him speed or cigs. Brady officially smarter than me
I did it in my first playthrough. Although the game doesn't signal that it's an option, if you have the book when you go through the "Make up with Cuno" dialogue, giving it to them comes up an option. Though I guess if you make up with him before getting the book, or if you never get the book,if course it never shows up.
@@LiamWhittle-tm7yo So, even after all the comments in the previous videos about you and your constant backseating, Brady announcing he's not gonna show twitch chat anymore because it is annoying everyone, you still went one with it. Is it gonna be like that until the end of the playthrough or do you finally stop at any point?
I don’t consider this spoiling on missed event, so I say it : There is a dialog Brady didn’t got (likely an hidden check missed by one or two) where you determine that Cunoesse couldn’t take on an adult, but that it look likely she killed another child. That’s a really sad constat.
*Warning warning: If you don't have 20 real by the end of day 2, you can get soft locked and or a game over!*
Has he sold the hubcaps yet?
@@tyghe_bright Yes, that happened on Day 1.
It's funny seeing them think Joyce doesn't have any money to give them
I recomend internalizing "The White Mourning". I think that since you are a therapist it would be very interesting to see your pov in that one. No problem if you dont though
Dont forget HEAL UP whenever you are less than "one hp or volition down" because for example if you are 3 less hp than your max, then you will have 3 endurance DOWN for your checks etc. So be sure to heal up so you are not down on your stats!
the flag is symbolic for an old nationalistic sentiment, if you get what i mean lol. Deciding to discard thoughts based on vibes is fine.
ALSO: What a timing to get the regular law official, just as you're intimidating someone to open their apartment lol
As in a fascist sentiment, just a heads up Brady might appreciate. Even if the original political system was a monarchy, the nostalgia for that monarchy as a “the good old days” is a pointer in that direction.
But he could find that out later...
Cuno’s dad misunderstood the memo about father son bounding.
“Sir it seems like you’ve roped your son into your illegal narcotics trade.”
“Uuno don’t care!”
I must say Brady, watching you grow confident enough to express your political opinions (as per the last installment) has been really fun and touching in a way.
It's also nice watching the audience steadily go from seeing him as an enlightened centrist (derogatory) to a filthy centrist (affectionate).
@@Xocists we like a man of conviction, even if his convictions don't always line up with ours
YEEEES! HE DID IT! HE GOT BORING COP! LETS GOOOO
Cuno says Cuno doesn't care. But Cuno does care. Cuno cares so much.
Oh Cuno. I hope you go meet his dad before doing your analysis. Just to get a full picture of it all.
Harry has the option to be a fascist, and a fascist Harry would bow to the flag of old Revachol, to remember the "good old days". Harking back to a royal/imperial/feudal/classical past, which is idealized as stronger, purer, and so on is a hallmark of fascism. Which is why you see a lot of fascists posting images from the past (any decade, any century) and going "RETURN" or "THIS IS WHAT THEY TOOK FROM YOU".
Cuno's a fucking G, riding the lightning, Punk
Just a series of fantastically succesful cheks this episode.
Also, man, that was actually really good how you handled the Cuno conversation. First time I played I passed the empathy check but then I failed to get him to talk with me.
Finally, the Cuno dialogue, I was waiting for this moment since the first episode
i actually never saw you can give cuno a book. that's interesting
*Uses crowbar to break into a locked container* Man there's just cash lying around everywhere.
Truly a normal, boring detective.
Brady on his way to Cuno's dad cocking his gun: "I just want to talk to him"
I am really afraid Brady is not going to be able to find a place to sleep for day 2. Cuno can wait, but you can soft lock if you don’t have a place to stay day 2
There should be enough money in the doomed commercial area.
You can pass time by sitting on the bench, no?
@@Aeiouaaaaaaaaa Yeah, but the time stops progressing at 2am. If you don't pay Garte by 9 you have to sleep in the dumpster and you get a game over. From day 3 you have a free sleep spot in the fishing village.
@@planetfucksquad Part time cop. Full time hobo. Best ending lmao
You could have checked out the book before giving it to Cuno.
But that would cause a lot of time to pass
Man, I love Cuno and Cunoesse as charachters. At first they just seem like Gremlins, one worse than the other, but then you find out about Cunos situation and especially about Cunoesse. From what the game implies she was basically part of a radio snuff show, maybe as a victim, maybe as a perpetrator, or probably a mix of both. Its neither Cunos or Cunoesses fault they are like this and its so tragic
Let me explain to you about Politics. It is a word. In the English language.
If you want to make good use of Regular Law Official, you could increase any skills you want to increase using its cap increase, and then unlearn the memory later.
37:09 kim glitched xD
Brady's gonna love the kid with the contact mic
Wait did someone say Contact Mike? The 5,000-1 rank outsider who overcame social, physical, and emotional obstacles to become a paragon of open competition? No one saw it coming.
Oh shit, Contact Mike?! I love that guy! The epitome of athleticism, that man.
I really hope he gets Ice Cop Hat Fuck Show, but I don't think he will.
@@Redingold RIGHT HERE ON THE SEA ICE?!
my man can't even choose between art is cool and art is not cool
I wouldn't have it any other way than you playing the game however you wanted to play it 😊
this playthrough is so wholesome,, it's seriously magical.
I think it's so important to follow your internal compass as a streamer, and not what the audience thinks it wants - especially with this game.
OK, you may consider this unwanted backseat driving.... just, if you have a white skill check that you want to succeed in, and you have a skill point to use at it,.... how about you FIRST try the skill check without raising the relevant skill, and then, if you fail, after you fail, you can still use the skill point to UNLOCK the white skill check and immediately try it again with the newly raised stat?
Math says, that almost doubles your chances at succeeding, because you get TWO attempts? Also, it saves you skill points you can spend otherwise if you are just lucky on your first roll?
No real need to optimize this game, but it works for sure!
@@paulservary5360 It's an OCD thing, sure, but it really drives me nuts.
Maybe, drop the condescending attitude? Because he’s playing a video game for the first time in front of a huge new audience? And he can forget things? Let him do stuff on his own?
what i learned: boring cop is good for extreme stat playthroughs - learning cap to 3 is good if your stats are 5511
I think what Brady doesn’t get about politics, is that for Harry, they ARE related to mental health. They’re a coping mechanism, so he can forget about the elusive ex-something for a bit longer. The game doesn’t take them seriously because he doesn’t, they’re just something to distract him.
when did he say they aren’t related. What’s the point in focusing on politics in this playthrough. That’s like zeroing in on the symptom rather than the actual real, underlying issue. Therapy focuses on the _individual._ Y’all need to stop saying the same thing and acting like he “just doesn’t get it” when he obviously just doesn’t want to focus on it.
@@bulbizard2950 the point I’m making, is it isn’t about the politics, or the big picture.
It’s so interesting seeing the conversation with Cuno without Logic and Drama to rein in some of the wilder speculation.
Let's go baby! Save Cuno, save Revachol!
I love your very different approach to Disco Elysium - this is how I myself played it first, just absolutely taken with the engaging mental health depictions and internal dialogue. There's so much emotional and literary richness to this game. And I haven't met another player yet who obsesses over helping the children. Please do keep helping Cuno and Cunoesse and Fritte Girl and Annette and Cindy - they are the future of Martinaise and Revachol!
I've recently watched a cinematic from the last of fast part 2. And when I saw al the expression in the characters I thought about you analyzing everything 😂.
I don't know if you would like the game but thats my recommendation when you finish this one (tlou 1 and 2) 😊
Day 1 until you see it 👀
It’s really interesting watching a playthrough of this game where the person tries to avoid politics at all costs and the game just throws it all at you anyway lol
I care, Cuno. I care.
Google says this comment can be translated to English:
"And who, Cuno. And which."
I am unironically excited for the diagram promised in the next one, you have done something mysterious to me and I am happy about it.
From a storytelling + addiction counsellor's perspective, it would be interesting to see you lapse in your sobriety or make some unsensible decisions.
I can't wait for the next stream!!! This playthrough is so good❤❤❤
why did nobody advise him to use the freaking plastic bag in the chat?!
seeing Brady’s reaction to Cuno so far it’s so interesting haha
ah! caught up with Disco Elysium episodes on such a cliffhanger *_* Cuno!!
Hell yeah
Always looking forward to your playthrough!
I love you, regular cop Harry Du Bois
Hm. Wonder if he's gonna make rent tonight.
The only time I've been actually disappointed in this playthrough: We didn't read the book first.
I’ve recently started to question whether or not I have schizotypal personality disorder, and as I learn more about the symptoms, I realize that Harry fits the profile very closely. Do you think he might be schizotypal?
use your magnesium/nosaphed to top off your stats! you're missing checks because of that
I really hope you try and put the pieces together on Cunoesse, there's some really alarming things that Cuno said about her this episode.
For someone who doesn't care about missing things you sure talk a lot about missing things
Yay new upload
Guys i have been dipping in and out of this, can someone tell me if he has learned about [REDACTED] from Joyce yet?
Not yet
Brady chose Moralism and just doesn’t realize it yet
Love your videos
Cunoesse is Finnish, the words of her people are Finnish words.
1:09:00 fuckin excellent Snoop Dogg reference
Cuno *do* fucking care!
1:11:58 my eyes sweating a little bit
The next episode is best called "We don't talk about Cuno-no-no (but we do)"
