Seriously Angie, I’ve been doing this for 40 years.....! You have those enviable old school skills, but you work in such a beautifully intuitive way. No surprise to me that you have an arts background! You’ve only just begun this TH-cam adventure, but you are well on your way to being an inspirational mentor to thousands.... For me, you have become the person to watch, and I’m so happy for your success! Congratulations! :)
I have to agree - I am sooo not a furniture refinisher, but my daughter is graduating from college and headed to Colorado for law school. We decided that we would buy really cheap Ethan Allen furniture on FB Marketplace and refinish it. TFG is the best you tuber we have watched so far... NOW we are purely watching for entertainment because her furniture transformations are true Cinderella stories.
First timer here - touched that you’re not showing your face. Feels like you’re saying this is not about me - it’s about what I’m sharing. Refreshing to see genuine humility these days.
As long as the music is quiet and in the background it doesn't really matter what the music is. Much better than the videos where the talking is quiet and the music is loud! Love your work ❤
My grandfather was an antiques' dealer and restorer in Old Havana. You have no idea how many memories you are bringing back for me. Even the smell of the varnishes and shellacs.
Side eye🤣 You're so funny. I really appreciate the time you take to show and instruct without babbling through real time. Enjoyable to watch you work!!
I’m not really a fan of painted furniture either (old girl 😆) but I have learned to be ok with it when Angie does it because more often it is the best way to make the piece lovable for years to come!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I was the same way at first. I felt like I was ruining the age of the piece, but they turn out so nice and they actually can be reused when you change up your decor. So win win.
"Old girl" here. I'm a wood grain fan myself. However, I'm also a fan of Angie's work, and whatever she decides to use to finish out her work is fine by me. I trust her judgment exclusively. I've seen her apply paint in such a manner I'd never think of doing, because I'm not creative and knowledgeable like her, and her pieces always turn out extraordinary. As an "old girl," if I had a daughter, I'd wish for her to be as talented and nice as this young lady. So, "old guy" go with the paint and don't feel like you're going against any prior feelings you may have about refinishing.
I think Angie definitely respects the wood and if the quality is there she won’t paint. Laminate… well then paint is definitely an option. (old guy) The white wax is awesome.
Don’t worry, there is nothing wrong with your music and I don’t listen to it anyway.. I’m either listening to you or watching what you are doing. You are so good at this, you should have started your TH-cam channel ages ago. I’m really enjoying all your up-cycling projects.
@@teresamcbeath2832 yes! Her videos transcends the music. Plus, the music is not loud. I like music, but not when it drowns out the dialogue. She does a great job!
Yeab I usually just listen to you not the music. But I really am inspired by the work you do and I'm currently trying my hand at up-cycling some side tables and a small office desk
Love the tip about spraying a clear coat prior to painting. SO smart and I never even thought about it. I learn so much from watching this channel and I really appreciate what you do. Thank you!

They are stunning and creative. Keep up the good work your channel will will continue to grow with content like this. The piece is beautiful.
I LOVE how this turned out! Your videos are great- the music, your voice over description of the steps, the camera angles, the transitions, everything. I know the many MANY hours of work that go into producing these videos, and yours are perfection.
Thank you so much for the recognition- you are soooo right. Every video I do takes me three times as long to do a piece of furniture because of moving the camera etc, and then it’s several hours on top of that between editing the footage, doing voiceover, uploading, etc. So much work- so thank you so much for this comment ❤️😊

Little late to this party, but just wanted to comment...love the style and presentation of your video! I actually came to your video by way of looking for tips on painting MDF and paper laminate RV cabinets. I feel much more comfortable now with just going with the artistic flow and knowing that the paper laminate will survive the prep, prime, and paint process. While there are many videos of painting the old school wood cabinets in RV's, I haven't been able to find anything on the MDF/paper laminate type of cabinets, so this is sooo helpful. Take care!
I never really say anything, but I have been watching your work for over a year now and you are one of my favorites!! I flip furniture on my free time and love learning from others. You do great every time ❤
My favorite furniture renovator! Love the audio added later, the explanations are easy to understand, colors are gorgeous, and really enjoy seeing the b4 and after. The best part is your attitude toward upcycling, saving it from landfill and sometimes curbshopping.
I came across this by accident as I want to paint my kitchen cupboards. I was so pleased I found you. Fantastic ideas and methods. I am certainly going to give my kitchen a go now. Love what you have done with these drawers. Completely renovated and looking fab. Thanks Angie. I am going to watch everything you do from now on. Like your voice too.
I have watched a lot of furniture restoration videos. You have a knack for color and natural wood combination that is unique. I've seen others do the same thing and their piece does not look the same as yours. You have that "indefinable something" that shows in every piece you do. I love the videos but I would really LOVE a book if you wrote one. I can't wait to start working on my own pieces this winter. Thank you, you're inspiring.

beautiful work! fresh, clean, crisp, and modern. the white-waxed wood touches add a lot of dimension to the finished look.
Thank you! Cheers!
Your insight as to how to finish a piece so that it looks gorgeous, is amazing!
Thank you! Everyone's eye is different so I can't please everyone but I try to do my best for every piece I work on.
Wow and just wow...What an extraordinary transformation you did on this seemingly ordinary piece!😍
You are an artist. I see some Scandinavian influence in some of the simple designs! Brilliant
Thanks for watching!
I just finished redoing a 1960's dresser, thanks for your great videos
It looks fantastic! No one would believe the kind of material that is below! I love the colors you used.
Thank you! Cheers!
My favorite furniture renovator! Love the audio added later, the explanations are easy to understand, colors are gorgeous, and really enjoy seeing the b4 and after. The best part is your attitude toward upcycling, saving it from landfill and sometimes curbshopping.
So glad I found your channel today. You've really given me good instruction on painting over laminate.
Well I'm so glad you were able to make your way here! Welcome to my channel. I'm so glad I could inspire you, best of luck on your projects!! ❤️
Wow, I'm very impressed. The dresser is beautiful.
Thank you! 😊
Wow, thank you for that comment! I really appreciate your words and support, and I'm glad I could inspire you. Thank you!! ❤️
I have a dresser in the basement almost identical to this. I am really motivated to try to restore it now!
OH MERCY. That color combo is STUNNING 🤩
Love it! I despised laminate and would never buy anything like it. Now... I have completely changed my mind after watching this. Thank you!!
