Good to see you wearing a mask pulling out the mouse nests, Dalton at Pole Barn Garage wound up in the hospital with a virus from cleaning out mouse and rats nest from a vehicle without wearing a mask.
Dalton smokes heavy too...so....best wishes to him tho...but really...
@59vaughn Yep, his respiratory system was already challenged with that and now the infection. Hoping he'll feel better soon.
Junta Virus? He never said. I wish he would quit for himself, Jess, and JD.
Paint turned out pretty amazing
Way too often I see these car channel guys not taking care of their health and safety when working on vehicles old and new. Airborne viruses are no joke and can kill. Anytime there is dust or particles floating in the air, PPE gear should be worn. Brake dust lodged in the lungs, chemicals can be absorbed into your bloodstream through the skin can cause cancer etc. Always remember, safety first.
"Crusty old Duster" is now dubbed "The Cruster!"
The Cruster!! Yea
@@S2NAZI don't think so
@@greghanlon2235 Haha 😅 I like it!
Was thinking the same thing!
@@mikemarak2613 Great minds think alike. lol.
Your dad standing over there like he really don't want to wet sand today . Funny .
Yeap 😅
If cars could show gratitude, this one would be smiling😂
You just can’t beat the leaning tower of power 👍🏻👍🏻
Did you watch stay tuned turbocharge one?
Love the little merc coup you got there TASTY 😂
Some blacked out baby moons would be cool!!!
A piece of that black wrap on the tail panel would look nice!
@@DarkFlamage I agree!! Good idea 😃
@@BudgetBuildz Might look cool to black out all the trim and bumpers. although the bumper do look great now. Maybe wrap them as well?
Yesss!👌😎👍
"The Mighty Dodge!" ~Al Bundy
Finds some Cragar SS wheels. Completes the 70s look.
Or Wolfrace's. I somehow wished someone would make real wheels out of Matchbox' Superfast Wheels designs...
The car looked okay at the start, but now, it's an absolute beast now. It looks completely different, especially with the grille being replaced, giving its iconic 'face' again. What a transformation!
I like that you call it forgotten and neglected instead of abandoned.... abandoned is the most overused word on TH-cam. The old Duster is looking great for it's age. Thanks for the video.
The leaning tower of turbo power, can’t hardly wait for that. 😂👊
The old Duster looks awesome with the black hood and orange wheels. I can't wait to see what the turbo does to it! I'm glad y'all didn't pull the slant six.
Keep up the good work 💪
Thank you!! Thanks for much for the support 🤗
Brother, 4 in the floor straight 6! Perfection.
My 92 Sierra truck had the 4.3 and 4 on the floor with overdrive
but it's not a straight 6..it's a slant 6
@@janeames1513the slant is better in all comparison to a straight.
Those old slant six engines were tough as nails. I used to see old slant six taxi cabs with slant six and bald tires run forever.
Baby moons and beauty rings. Would be perfect
Just goes to show you that any car cleaned up looks so much better. I used to like detailing my cars when I was younger. I'd spend a whole day on it. We had mostly Mopars in our family and a few of them were A bodies with both the slant six and 318. Great cars. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next segment.
Liberty Insurance: Only pay for what need! Love it man! Awesome work!
Eviction day!!! Bye mouse house. This car is so good. I love it. For being a die hard Chevy guy I always liked 70's dodge cars .
Can't wait to see the turbo install. A manual and a more aggressive rear end (w/ an LSD) would make this car pretty awesome
I remember back in the day that Mopar 225ci slant sixes were decent performers for what they were. You used to be able to get a lot of performance enhancing parts for them as I remember. Really turning out great looking considering how inexpensively you are getting things done. Kinda makes me want one!
My Grandfather’s first car was a 1972 Duster with the 225 slant six. During the late seventies he put a.275 duration cam in it along with long tube headers and a limited slip rear end with 3.73 gears. As well as a much larger carburetor!
Header .... singular
@@petefroehling8704 Sorry, I am used to using V8 lingo.
@@PontiacFirebirdFormula305WS6 it's ok you might be right though when he's under the car I see 2 collectors maybe it's a two piece header
My humble opinion…. Dog Dishes & 4 speed!!!!!! Loving this build it looks so Rad!!!!
Stay Tuned recently did a turbo on a slant six in a dodge pickup, worked out great! btw….best to wear eye protection when under a rusty car dropping a gas tank for example…..only get one set of eyes
When you pulled out that turbo flange... hell yeah!!!
I love watching these classic muscle cars being saved from the crusher. I truly enjoy seeing the relationship you have with your dad, and making these videos together.
This brought back a lot of old memories for me. I graduated High School in the early 70's and just about every kid had one of these cars! So it was nice to see that your brought it back to life! Will keep watching to see what else you do to it to make it pop!!!
You and your dad are so good at fixing up old cars and stuff. I love old dusters. They are so cool.
Hi Mike and his Dad nice video 📹 and workmanship the car looks good !!! Nice future parts to
Van Deisel Diesel ⛽️ Parts
The paint turned out great for what it was. Can’t wait to see how the turbo install turns out!
Yes, my eyes lit up on the turbo. I love that car.
Wow that my friend is a hell of an improvement. That is the money shot right there
You definitely knocked off some of the old man look from the Duster, rejuvenating it!
Crazy how that old paint polished up. I think some hub caps would look noice!
Absolutely LOVE the duster. Have always liked them. I had a yellow one years ago. Turbo on a slant six will be awesome, can't wait to see it.
Frieburger and dulcich would love this car 👍
Y’all did a great job on bringing the Duster back!
I can’t believe the difference in the paint, amazing.
The precision in your work is truly remarkable. From the engine rebuild to the flawless paint job, every step showcases your expertise and passion. Watching this restoration felt like witnessing a piece of art come to life
Love to see that thing with a turbo. Great video as always. The 6 cylinder cars must be saved.
TURBOOOO! So glad you are keeping the six!
Y'all got Al Bundy Jealous AF throwing that turbo in the mix! 😂😂😂
I thought he had a Dodge, maybe a Demon, but not a Plymouth.
@@juanpabloflores8179They referred to it as a Dodge, there were three during the lifespan of the show, but they were actually Plymouth Dusters. A blue one first, then a gold one, and finally red.
I love the decision to wrap the hood, the paint really makes it pop. I think it would look pretty mean if it had the black stripes down the sides like the 340 dusters had. Also can't wait for the turbo install!
Definitely preserve your work by doing ceramic coating. The technology is improving and getting more reasonably priced. Go for it. And yes to dog dish hubcaps, and Hell YES to that turbo!!
Big difference after the buffing, great job!....... can't wait for the turbo.....
Awesome car!!!
I just bought a 71 3 weeks ago
Drug it out of a old salvage yard.
Been off the road for 30yrs!
Can't wait to get it on the road again!!
Keep up the good work! Love watching your videos
Watch Stay Tuned they just did a turbo on a slant six!!! Duster looks great! I can’t believe the shine you got!!!
Absolutely love to see you work together. Try using adhesive remover with lower rpm. Too much heat may damage paint coat, just a tip for future projects. Keep up the good work!
Just needs a 360 and a 4 speed now ;)
I have a 74 Duster, good to see this one back to life.
Now that was unexpected.... Can`t wait for the next installment
That paint looks amazing! Great job!
Hell Yeah !
I was just thinking turbo when you said it .
That should be a little screamer .
Thank You for sharing your video, and letting us hang out .
Lovin your videos....In 1972 I bought a 1968 dodge charger rt 440 while in the air force..I loved that car...keep on doing your thing man
Turbo! awesome, Tony just did that on Stay Tuned, quite the results, paint cleaned up well!
Never expected to see a Turbo Duster. That should be very interesting.
The black hood is a nice touch!
My first car was a 71 Duster with a 318 I bought for a few hundred bucks from my girlfriends dad in 1979. What a great car. Drove it until the wheels fell off, bought new wheels and sold it to a buddy.
I remember a stunt car group called The Hell Drivers I saw when I was a kid and they used a fleet of Mopars like this. Car looks great; didn’t think the paint was going to shine up like that. My suggestions would be to fix the rusted out spots and retouch them. Also, for the turbo make sure the bottom end can take it; I believe the compression ratio needs to be lower as well so that would have to be looked into to make sure the thing survives.
My friend had the GM version, an orange Chevy Nova.
You did an amazing job on the paint!
I have been flipping cars for 40 years. Single stage red and orange always polish out nice.
I love this Duster. What a sweet little car!
We wanna hear your pops talking more! I just bet he's got a lot of that old school knowledge about cars wed all love to hear;?
great job, Farecla is the compound to use, its not full of additives, expensive but specifically designed for what your doing.
That thing looks sharp.
Love this duster. Good plan on the turbo for that straight 6. Great project
Decals, interior makeover, and Cragars!!
Putting a turbski on that 225 will definitely wake that 6 cylinder up! That little mopar is cool. I'm glad you saved it and bringing her back!
This car is the epitome of "It'll buff out".
I've never seen a slant six with a turbo. I am looking forward to that. This one is really cool and fun.
PPE always good. For the inside of your glass: distilled water in a spritzer, 0000 steel wool. Treat it like a wet sand by hand. On the interior: pull the seats and carpets all the way out.
Very good job, guys! Again, thank you for working with the 6! I am very much looking forward to seeing the next episode and the TURBO install along with the remainder of the interior.
The Duster looks great, trim rings and dog dish hub caps! I’d drive it for sure!
I am so excited to see you install the sushi slicer on the duster.🇺🇲💪
I had a 75 Duster back in 1980 ,I absolutely love what you are doing with this car!!
So much fun watching these rescues! Congrats!!
I was SO hoping you would choose to turbocharge the six... and I am SO pleased that you did not let me down! I am really looking forward to seeing how you do it. Tony Angelo just did a Turbo build on a slant-six on his Stay Tuned channel. If yours turns out like his, that duster will smoke tires, for sure!
You're going to turbo that slant 6? Awesome! I can't wait to see that content.
When are you going to do an update on the fire damaged Buick Electra 225? That is one beautiful car!! P.S. I really enjoy your videos and it's great to see you and Dad working so well together,
Yes it is. Great project. I also love the motor home!
After watching stay tuned turbo the slant six I got excited as soon as I saw the box of manifold parts.
Loved the way the car turned out. Really didn't expect the paint to come out like that!
Wow you guy's this is why i love this Chanel ....greetsz from friesland..max....
no ceramic but WELL WORTH the investment in touchup paint. Get a pint of single stage and an air brush. EDIT I did not see you do it but it looks like you did spray some damage areas around the trunk...nice!!
love your videos - although i have trouble telling which is you and which is your dad :) love this car too! extremely rare here in AU. with that crack in your grill - to stop cracks from "growing" you normally drill a hole at the end to stop it dead. also i'm not a paint guy either but would definately recommend a ceramic coat on the old bird. its certainly come up an absolute treat and ; has survived well given its 3 years older than me :)
saw a BIGFOOT in the treeline across the road
Right 😂
Can't wait to see how the turbo comes out!
Good Job on that Duster!!!😊
Love how it is coming along. Paint came back much better than I expected.
What a huge transformation...
Great work👍
Greetings from Germany
That's cool you're fixing up the Duster. My Dad bought one brand new in 1972. A real stripper! 225 slant six with three on the tree! Dads car was the same color as yours. So it brings back good memories of my Dad and the car. My Dad passed away in 2004. I'm 62 so I was 11 years old when he bought the car. I tried my best to convince him to buy a 340 Duster, same color but he didn't go for it! Man I miss that car but my Dad more. rest in peace Dad.
The leaning tower of power. Look out all you HP guys.
boost always increases the fun factor for sure . Amazing transformation great job ya'll !!
love that car. Well done so far! What a transformation, looking forward to the turbo
Nice job fantastic on reviving the paint hood wrap is nice also
That orange just POPS
I knew that Turbo was coming! Looks great guys!
Amazing transformation. Great job
I knew someone who had one of these back in the 70's. You know, I like the sound of it! the slant six has a nice exhaust note!
