That's the goal with my hawkeye right now. Sitting right at 498 with 20psi and 93. I can pump the boost up to 30 safely and switch to E85, but for now I'm happy
Watching the video now, just got my 02 SRP wagon back from the builder in Nevada, drove through the mountains, 140 mi into break in, doing an oil change and filter today before I drive anymore. My ECU is locked up, builder says he thinks the last owner had an AP on it and didn't unmarry the ECU so gotta take the car down to the protuner anyway. Glad to see your car is so freaking nuts!!! Love it man!
The same thing happened to me and it removes the old tune and returns it to stock if you connect an AP. Even if borrow an unmarried AP and marry it to yours and reset it to stock and unmarry it, you can then do the pro tune. Kind of a hassle but cheaper than buying one.

Can’t wait to see it up close and personal (IF that’s the car your taking to Subifest) If you remember me asking about speed sensor and transmission problems, Harness is all connected with no exposed wiring, so I ordered an ACTUAL speed sensor from a Subaru Dealer, found one off eBay for CHEAP but won’t get to me until late Oct, so I just had to deal with the Dealer Price in order to get it done this week. ALSO just purchased a 1 ton Engine Hoist , a 1 ton engine stand, and 12 Cyl Head Bolts, new LED headlights, new Brembo Decals for repainting my brakes (Thinking white Caliper with black Brembo stencil, on repainted to HIGH GLOSSY BLACK Rim BBS wheels) I think it’s time to take it up a notch like Emerill and BAM 💥 start REALLY working on my car. Future goal is to completely rebuild the engine and follow your tutorials to the T. So you might as well just give me your personal phone number bc I’m going to pick your Subie Brain and expertise in building engines. Hope you’re ready brother!!!!
Great video..I have a factory yellow bugeye I bought for my daughter for her 18 th birthday....still have it now and love it to bits all original apart from multiple sets of wheels and full whiteline suspension..standard sunroof..so keep it dont sell it..my grandson has now claimed mine and I m keeping it for him

Nice build! FWIW, im currently 807 whp, on 1700 cc's.Xona Rotor 82-67 turbo. So those injectors an push power. If you upgrade, skip the 2000, and go 2600, better quality injector.
@@Smeedia its a handful, lol. Still learning to drive it, only been road worthy for a month. As you said in the video though, my idle sucks, but thats the trade off for bigger power. Going stand alone this winter, as I'm on a 16 bit ecu currently
Time Stamp: 2:30 So true about the power.. I don't have a WRX but I have a tuned car that makes DYNO'ed 246WHP.. People forget that the 1988 Mustang GT 5.0L was fast as hell at the time it was only putting down 225 to the wheels.. People put better rims and tires on them and made small up grades and got them up to 250 HP.. Anything that does a quarter in under 14 seconds is fast.. Maybe not 2021 electric car fast but a 13/14 second car isn't slow.. Can't even imagine how fast your car is to drive..

I have an 05 sti that's very similar in power, mines silver though. I felt the same way the first time I really put my foot in it after having a closed deck motor fully built on modest 20psi. Its built for 750 but youre right nobody really needs that but damn is it fun!
I had a duel pumper with 340s, i was told by JR that i was going to be losing HP potential with that setup mostly do to potential fuel pressure drop in higher rpms. Im with an FP Zero full build so max power ill see is around 650-700. I since switched to 450s and havent had an issue. I need to get an update on the tune tho as im only pushing 30 psi on the turbo and around 570whp. So definitely have some more power potential once we bump the boost up to 35-40 psi
@@Smeedia the guys at off the line were explaining it to me in more detail but it went over my head lol but they were saying thats why they prefer a surge tank with a large external pump to feed the injectors. less chance of pressure drop. plus its a surge tank haha

For around my area, 450-550hp and 300-400 tq is about right there’s not a single road near me that you can push it harder, besides highway if you step on it anywhere in 1 sec you’re already doing double or triple the speed limit (3000 pound car, if it weighs more you’ll need more power)
CONGRATS no one needs 600 hp but so many seem to want 1000+. Bone stock or 1000+ doesn't matter if it makes you smile. The angle of your gopro is what makes judging speed on your pulls difficult needs to be lower so we can see more than just the banner. Strap it to your shoulder or pass headrest?

Ive got 500 and some change to the wheel in my sti swapped forester and it is A LOT for the street, but its so drivable and tame when you arent getting into the EWG.
If you don't want stupid big injectors, run 8 smaller ones to get to where you need to be. It's all relevant..Nice build and yes too much power is always a good thing..

Awesome work Tanner! Car is sounding awesome. So, it's been bugging me, every time you do a driving video, I keep staring at your airbag light. I had the same issue and discovered that it's because the center dash mounted gauges on my car are wired using the clock harness. Which happens to have the passenger airbag light. If you spliced into the clock harness for the 3 pod gauges and one of those wires was for the airbag light, that is likely causing the airbag dash light to come on. I was able to reset mine by unplugging the one wire spliced into the airbag clock light, cycling the ignition and then plugging it back in. When I replace my stereo, I'm going to rewire the gauges so they don't use that clock harness any longer to eliminate the issue completely.
@@Smeedia after that she gets fenders rolled and pulled, then sent off to paint. Waiting for rims afterwards. Making decision between Work CR kai or Work M8R in black soon.

I had the same issue with my pressure drop up top. I swapped my pressure switch and that cured it. It wasn't engaging and kicking the second pump on. Hope that helps
Man I really need to swap out my trans to an STI one (and all supporting bits). The 5 speed is pretty much a time bomb. I am afraid every time I go out to do some spirited mountain driving the trans is just going to let go. Or I suppose I could do another build.... hahahah! Sure the wife would love that one. Whew!
I need to get my hands some E85 just to mix a little in with my pump gas, For the weekends I want to make some extra power. I know that's not recommended for daily driving. But I want to try out like an E50/E60 blend.
With my current setup (mentionned in the comments of your previous video) I run in between 12 and 13secs on the 1/4 mile so I'd guess you'd be in the between 11-12secs with your setup. In my area most Subaru or STi/WRX owners do mostly esthetic mods like wings/wheels/wraps/lighting with basic bolt-on stage2 tunes or some frankeinstein mod lists that makes no sense... About your statement in your video, I think not that many people actually drive quick Subarus like we do that are also well balanced/built and not just focussed on high hp numbers. When I mention how much money I put into my car for "only" 592hp people lose their mind because they don't think about all the support and handling mods that went with it and think only about the raw power my car makes.

If you leave an AP married you can overwrite the ECU with a new AP 👀 hopefully it gets figured out soon!

I run E85 all year long here in CO. Never had issues, snowboarding trips, etc. Fires first go! I don't think I could switch back to pump gas lol.
So far haven't had any issues, curious to see how she'll start up in the dead of winter 😅

Awesome work Tanner! Car is sounding awesome. So, it's been bugging me, every time you do a driving video, I keep staring at your airbag light. I had the same issue and discovered that it's because the center dash mounted gauges on my car are wired using the clock harness. Which happens to have the passenger airbag light. If you spliced into the clock harness for the 3 pod gauges and one of those wires was for the airbag light, that is likely causing the airbag dash light to come on. I was able to reset mine by unplugging the one wire spliced into the airbag clock light, cycling the ignition and then plugging it back in. When I replace my stereo, I'm going to rewire the gauges so they don't use that clock harness any longer to eliminate the issue completely.
Mine is from the passanger seat, whoever had the car before me cut the SRS wire to install aftermarket seats 🙃

I had the same issue with my pressure drop up top. I swapped my pressure switch and that cured it. It wasn't engaging and kicking the second pump on. Hope that helps
May have to try that then. Are you using 340s or 450s?

Man I really need to swap out my trans to an STI one (and all supporting bits). The 5 speed is pretty much a time bomb. I am afraid every time I go out to do some spirited mountain driving the trans is just going to let go. Or I suppose I could do another build.... hahahah! Sure the wife would love that one. Whew!

With my current setup (mentionned in the comments of your previous video) I run in between 12 and 13secs on the 1/4 mile so I'd guess you'd be in the between 11-12secs with your setup.
In my area most Subaru or STi/WRX owners do mostly esthetic mods like wings/wheels/wraps/lighting with basic bolt-on stage2 tunes or some frankeinstein mod lists that makes no sense...
About your statement in your video, I think not that many people actually drive quick Subarus like we do that are also well balanced/built and not just focussed on high hp numbers.
When I mention how much money I put into my car for "only" 592hp people lose their mind because they don't think about all the support and handling mods that went with it and think only about the raw power my car makes.
Lots and lots of supporting modifications go into it that is not always directly affiliated with power. Gets overlooked all too often 😖
