I got the CV27F last week and it is extraordinary. I chose the Full HD resolution because I only have a GTX 1070 and I wanted to be able to use the monitor in games at over 100 FPS. This 2.5K resolution monitor would have been better, but it is also more expensive and my GPU could not handle it. Awesome monitor, from build quality to the image quality.
PETRESCU SERBAN I’m rocking a 1070 also but I can run tons of games at 1440p not on ultra tho but it still get really good frames for games plus when I play competitive I just change resolution to 1080p 144hz also use it with my pa4
i have this monitor since a few days now and its going back. Ghosting is a big thing here and the backlight is not good at all. maybe its just my unit but i will send it back and go to my loved MSI 271CQR
Im about to buy a monitor and my big favorite is the ad27qd or the fi27q which is the same just updated with 165hz , i think the only difference regarding the CV27Q is the panel they use being the one you reviewed a VA panel. So since you have seen both i would like to know which would be your recommendation between the 2 monitors, i mostly use it for gaming purposes. Thanks in advance! Nice vid ;)
Juan Pestana I own both, the cv has 0 ghosting or overshoot issues somehow even tho it’s a VA panel. The AD27QD looks like a blurry mess compared to this and I have no idea how Aorus did it.
I own an Asus MG279Q since 2016 and I'm more than happy with it. Now I upgraded my GPU from a RX 480 8GB to a RX 5700 XT and I also upgraded the monitor to the Aorus AD27QD (for more FPS, etc). Had to return it the 3rd day as the panel and colours are horrible. Now, I'm going to give a chance to this CV27Q as it has HBR3. Either you buy the FI27Q-P (FI27Q upgraded version with HBR3), or you won't be able to use 165Hz with HDR and 10bit color at same time.
Wtf! I thought it was going to be around the 600 mark.! In that case I think I’ll give a shot to the new lg 27” 1440p 144hz. Thanks for the info though.
You've touched sadly on a pet peeve of mine. Let me explain; there are people out there that have mid-range video cards. Most people don't have high-range because those cards are very expensive. Sadly, I feel that some people would rather sacrifice beauty over performance with mid-range cards. For example, you will drop a solid 20 frames just to game in almost 3k. Is it worth it to you to lose that many frames? If it is, then game in 3k. But if the competitive edge is what drives you (Which I feel it should for most people... competition makes gaming SO FUN)... consider the notched down version of 1920 x 1080p. Anyway... I wanted to thank you for this great review because you answered every single question I had in detail. Kudos to you @Gear Seekers. Note: The 1080p variant is almost $200 cheaper right now. The funny thing is that if you get the CV27Q, you have the luxury or downgrading to 1920 x 1080p if you want silkier frames. So all is not lost!
I had the MSI, bought it just before this one came out, bought this one too and ended up returning the MSI. I have no idea how but Aorus managed to eliminate ghosting completely as far as my eyes can tell. It’s insane, so clear even compared to my TN monitors. Absolutely worth the buy.

I am trying to find a competition for this screen. ONLY 1 exists! Well, I managed to find only 1. MSI Optix MAG272CQR. The requirements are: 27inch, 1500R, 1440p, 165hz, GSYNC compatible. That's it. Please share if you found any.
I didn't expect that this monitor will be shown here. Been waiting for this monitor for a couple of months and now one of my favorite techtuber covered it! I'm happy.
Can you help me? First, i saw on Hardware Unboxed channel that this monitor on 165hz performances like a 120hz one. Is that true? Second, how much better are the black's on VA Panels (this one in particular) when compared to IPS? And how much better are the colors on IPS when compared to VA? I am very in doubt between IPS and VA. I would love to have blacks really blacks. However, I realize that in many films / series / games, in a dark scene, I can practically see nothing and I end up increasing the brightness on nvidia panel syntactically (increasing the white of the image) even in this fullhd IPS that i have . What do you think? I will have problems to see details on dark scenes? If so, will I need to decrease the contrast to be able to see these details? In this situation, wouldn't it be better to get an IPS? Sorry for the bad english and thanks for the attention!
My question also... are there any others with same specs? I can't find any. No matter what price. I had Aorus cv27q and returned because of around 7 bad pixels. Now I am doing my research again.

The real advantage of VA is deeper black color and less backlight bleed. If you solely play fps I'll go with TN. TNs are still insanely fast panel. But I personally like VA panels.
