I enjoyed the video very much as your enthusiasm is contagious! In a few days time I'm due to visit a MB showroom to look at both an EQA and an EQC so your review added to the excitement for me, thanks😀
😎 thanks, Peter! I’m glad you like it! I’ve got the rest of the Mercedes-Benz range on my list - including the EQB (I think I might like this more than the EQC!) and EQS (very fancy…!). You’ll love the EQC - it’s a really nice car. What do you drive at the moment? -Mike
@DivingDeveloper, I'm in the new DS 4 PHEV at the moment. When I bought the PHEV the battery had sufficient capacity for most of my driving needs as my driving style gets good efficiency from the small battery. However, circumstances have changed and I feel a full BEV will be better.
@@peternugent9355 Oh you're going to be in for a surprise. Enjoy your test drive, don't get distracted by all the shiny buttons - and put your head on the head rest before you hit that 'gas' pedal! Let me know how your showroom visit goes :D
@@DivingDeveloper Well, test drive done and very impressed with the car - very refined, and nimble for a large and heavy car. I thought MB treated me well all day so a Prem+ in 'opalite white bright' ordered. The excitement of the new car countdown begins - as the EQC is only available from existing stock I should have the car in a couple of weeks 🥳
Ahh great choice. And good trim and colour option also. Choosing an inventory car rather than going down the build to order path is wise, as there are savings (time, especially) to be had. Let me know what you think once it arrives and they’ve pulled a sheet off it and left flowers in the boot or whatnot! I’d like to hear your first impressions. Meanwhile, if you want to see a Renault Zoe or Porsche Taycan GTS review - stay tuned to the channel! Random electric vehicles coming soon :)
Only 2m/kWh! Thats one heavy right foot you have there. The long term average of mine is 3.5 and I'm also on the Isle of Man so no excuses! :) The tunnel is because underneath it's an GLC.
I just bought a new eqc400 4matics amg premium plus model in December 2023 90% based on your review. Unfortunately can't find advance navigation system, dash cam or adaptive cruise control. Asked the dealers but no response. Can you help suggesting how operate these please
I owned one for ten months and found it extremely comfortable and quiet. It was good to have the rear wash wiper and the transmission tunnel exists because the car is an all new body shell. I do not like S.U.VS and preferred to have a more conventional electric car.
Transmission tunnel is because it wasn't designed as a pure eV. No need for it in an ev as it takes up valuable footroom and a flat floor and just shows it was a dual ev/ice design
I wonder if the tunnel is either just Mercedes saving money on production as it’s essentially the same “case” or they’ve shoved some batteries in that middle column? 🤔
The car seems ok, far too dark interior for my liking, just like the Tiger tank! However, a tip to the presenter: try to get a bit of mechanical empathy and respect when operating its bits and pieces, instead of the slam bam approach! To help you reaching old age, try the 2000 rule to keep your distance to the vehicle in front! Best of luck 🤞!
That's why I chose mine with the light tan leather interior. That bump in the middle is actually the battery pack which resides in the middle of the car.

One of the best reviews of the eqc on youtube
Thank you, Raf!
We have one and absolutely love it. It's fast, it has amazing comfort and it's unbelievable quiet.
They’re nice to drive aren’t they? Swooshing around in quiet comfort.
One of the best reviews

I thought 2m/kWh was good for a car that weighs the same as a one bedroom apartment. 😅😊
@@DivingDeveloper Lol they're big girls for sure.
I am definitely gonna buy one

I am sure there is a manual in there somewhere :)
I'm guessing it doesn't have it. If you find out let me know.

It's based on the GLC hence transmission tunnel

Does this have adaptive cruise control?where? Please show time
Hello, and yes! It’s actually really clever and I demo it in the video.
It needs to have Distronic. Usually only on the Premium Plus £££££
This car is quite and good, however this body is hybrid design. Also this effect sound isolation in positive way and consumption in negative.

I think you're right, GLC Floor pan has probably been used...

Thanks for your feedback, Stenaril. Hope to see you in a future video - take care, Mike

I'm just watching this video now as the prices of these have dropped massively as discontinued
Ah interesting! What sort of pricing are we looking at?
@@DivingDeveloper around £32k 2021/2 plate
That is much more reasonable.
@@DivingDeveloper new model coming out in 2025 by the looks
watch the head to head vid on car wow with the BMW I Audi and Tesla this merc came last in everything lol
Saloon not sedan. You're British.
I am, and thusly I shall appropriate this term from the colonies for our very own British Museum! Long Live the King! 👑
@@DivingDeveloper That's more like it.
