I know one of transport commisioner IAS from maharastra shout on OLA CEO and CEO just Try to down his anger & continuosly say sorry to him.. Not everyone become Ambani but yes 8 out of 10 ias become secratery of state or GOI. Success rate is more in IAS to bring change in society or stay in power. And also offcourse top businessman totally relay on Particular political party gov came in power then They think pol. Party or top officers favour them by some tender then there business will benefited and for that matter they run behind officers like nothing. Mark my word no comparison b/w IAS and MBA or Entrprenaur

With my experience, if a middle class student wants to become an IAS officer . First he should earn money by working in corporate sector. If he feels everything okay in terms of money. Then go and prepare for civil services.
As a middle class boy. I started my preparation in college days and still not get into the rank, surviving without money in hands is highly challenging. So, don't do mistake that I did.
If your parents well settled then go for preparation after graduation itself.

I think Top Services in UPSC CSE(IAS,IPS,IFS) is any day better than any other job in India, There are few reasons for that-
    1. Diversity of work
    2. Direct Impact on masses
    3. Work life balance
    4. Financial stability, if you want to earn in crore there is also path in that.
    5. Social status
    6. Power to create impact
    7. Range of people with one you are working, one day you are working with 'Top Intellectual' of the specific domain another some day you are working with 'Under privileged' section of a society.
I think that gives more satisfaction to someone else. But no one have to forget that probability to get in Civil Services is very low, so always have PlanB, that's the pragmatic approach.

There's no comparison between IAS and other Grade A civil services let alone private sector. I respect everyone's choice but let's get real. Beyond a point it's beyond money and power. That's where Armed forces and Civil services come in and in this there is nothing more dynamic than IAS. They run a country of a billion+ and its every mechanism that should sum it up.

The question shouldn't be who is earning more, as a NASA scientist in America or a government scientist at CERN will never earn a million $ a month or even a year and their wealth won't be comparable to that of a business manager or CEO of a mid-size multi-million firm. the question should be who has more power and opportunity to change human life by their understanding of political, economic, and social information they acquire during their preparation.

@@ACE-uo2mn cause of capitalism, private firms increases their productivity from overwork underpaid workers, labor exploitation, tax evasion, market manipulation, and lobbing the democratic government laws for maintaining their own monopolies over the market and destroying actual potential competition early on.
Most innovations and inventions were done by government scientists all over the world, from computers to microchips to touch screens and so ON AND on with public/taxpayer money, and most of these were in the socialist era but In today's imperialist society, once one figure out the solution to the masses' misery and the way to monetize it. we as a society make them invincible lords, "innovators" and even some are self-proclaimed scientists calling themself, entrepreneurs of a new age.
Capitalists don't acknowledge the privileges they were in and I refuse to acknowledge their "so-called risk for reward narrative" too. Capitalist media manipulation had made sure that exploitation by these corporates goes unchecked, no matter what the public interest is will only churn for-profit weather that costs social dismay they won't care, cause after all they can control the narrative.

That level of motivation to bring change against the will of your superiors and working at a payscale much less than private sector, is very rare.

There should be no comparison to any corporate job with the prestigious charm of IAS, it gives more power to bring change to citizens of the country. These management jobs are self-oriented and money-making jobs. People switch to these jobs only when they couldn't get into government jobs just to survive and earn their livelihood. Group A & Group B government jobs in PSUs, offer the highest package equivalent to their counterparts in the Pvt sector. Also, the Pvt sector has ZERO job security, laying off and reducing the salary, and a toxic environment, which are quite normal in corporate jobs. Any time, one should study diligently and smartly to get into the elite services of IAS/IFS/IRS/IPS

    Mam just one question.
I want to leave civil & study MBA in the US.
Will I be able to land a job in the US (IN THE NON CIVIL FIELD)?
Or is it not a good career move altogether?
Will I struggle to find jobs?

The dark side of this comparison is that people compare it with top tier people (0.1%) of that field , I mean if You did MBA or started a startup that doesn't mean you will become Jeff Bezos , Elon Musk or Ambani or Adani , there are many MBA graduate who doesn't get good post/position that they have imagined and their are many startup that failed/bankrupt even if they had good ideas, so we should count them too !

In my perspective if we look on the the society IAS has the more power in every aspect of field . you can examine the power of an IAS officer when a minister come to a particular are he had to take permission from by IAS of that area while in the case of private sector organization the big hunk like Jeff Bezos ,elon ,ambani have the power in upper level or mainly you can say they have the power of Monopoly .......

And also offcourse businessman totally relay on Particular political party gov came in power then They think pol. Party or top officers favour them by some tender then there business will benefited and for that matter they run behind officers like nothing. Mark my word no comparison b/w IAS and MBA or Entrprenaur

I think both of them have power on their own Sector but both of those personal are just earning money. No one of them is seeking for the betterment of agriculture sector. That's why India is loosing young generation of farmers and all those beurocrates and politicians are directly responsible for this damage of our country.

Rbi governor to foreign secretery to pm advisor.....simply
#mba run company ...but ias run country.....#ias is the initial post.....not the last...(i hope you would google)
Example....you run a multi company or ceo of that company but he is obliged to follow the rules of #IRS
