Hey! I was just chillin thinking "A new video from Nick would be awesome right now" no joke five minutes later and here he is! Thank you for sharing you passion with us, much love❤
THIS is definitely one of my favorites, over the last few yrs, Nick! Great hunk of wood, and I love that you saved and repurposed the top from the other project with the pine cones that was really cool!
Man . . . . right up to the point that the pinecones appeared, I was totally sold on this little barrel. I was stoked, a NZ project without resin lol. I know that this is just my opinion, but if you had just put a little round finial on the lid, it would be something I would give good folding money for. The pinecones are cute and a pretty way to accent the top, just not for me. Love your work, keep waffling and I'm going to try to see you on Channel 4 next month. Blessings!
Totally agree! But to be honest, I knew he was going to put something a little goofy on top. That's just his aesthetic, I found it beautiful when it was simple.
I just gotta say. I've been having trouble sleeping lately, but I find your videos so relaxing I fell asleep in what seems like weeks. I love your videos and thanks for helping me get some sleep finally, and your videos are not boaring to me.
I really needed this video rn! I feel like i say that almost every video you post, but i have had, and continue to have, the worst year of my life. And your videos really really do bring me some much needed joy. Thank you so much, for just being you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@kimalspaugh9911 personally i use some for firelighting with my scouts, and some of it gets put on the ground in the back garden for the dog to zoom around on.
I am SO glad you used the lovely pinecone piece you had left from your other beautiful project. I had hoped at the time it would not be wasted..Really Awesome piece.
Really like this barrel, turned out real funky in the end. I thought for a moment you were going to put the pine cone disc inside the barrel and it was going to be the surprise 😆
I have finally watched every single one of your videos. I started at the beginning of January and you had like 774k subs. Now you’re up to 792k! You’ll make 1mil in no time and it will be well deserved. Love your creativity and funk!
Here's a cool idea. How about you use termite infested wood and fill the empty Space with colored resin. I’m sure it would look pretty funky. p.s If you want you can use the other piece of wood from this video for a base for it.
@@renaissanceturner1477 it is art and not as highly priced as simular pieces i have seen from others. also it covers the work and materials that go into creating it.

Are you planning to make a valentine's video? If not that's okay I just would like a video to watch on my birthday 😅 I love your work and enjoy everything you do! Thank you for bringing your craftmanship and creativity into the world!
Hey nick, I would love to see you make a “reverse resin” pot, where the inside is lined with a resin pour. I think there would be lots of challenges but would turn out awesome!!!
U know when I first found this channel I thought he was from New Zealand bc of the nz but it was his name I still laugh at that every time but I love watching all his videos
You have a fascinating spirit and I truly love it. You make me laugh. I’m a Woodturner as well and despite your outnumbered gaffes you manage to teach us some do and don’t in the process. Genius way to teach I believe. Btw blond playing the bongo is becoming for you. Thank you so much.

Do live oaks grow in England? They’re generally a tree that grows in really warm climates. It could easily be some kind of oak but I couldn’t find any info on live oaks growing there.

What was there at 9:28 looked good and simple. The "flower arraignment" took away the over all beauty of the wood for me. Made it "too busy" as my art professor would say. I know you're "way out there" at times and we love it. But this one in IMHO had its own beauty.
I've only used a lathe a couple times before, but as a maker myself I still love these videos and I'm sure every other maker, or just person, loves these too.
I love that! Funky, Artsy, and Weird! That was brilliant to put that leftover pine cone bit on top! It screams Man-Cave snack jar! Or I would just put it in my office as a snack jar!
Would have been a good opportunity to make a Winnie-the-Pooh "Hunny Pot"
Yesssssss. With 'golden honey' resin in the middle. It would make a cute lamp.
I really like the pot but didn’t really like the pine cones!!
That would have been awesome!
I thought the same thing! He is making a Hunny Pot!
I was thinking the same thing!
Best craft show ever
Watching you make this all I could think of was Pooh Bear's honey pot.
Yes, that's why it looked familiar. Thank you, you solved my mystery.☺☺☺
I thought it kinda looked like the shape of an acorn for a while lol. But yes I agree, the honey pot 🍯 is a great idea, hint hint, Nick lol
I was wondering why it looked so similar. Thank you for helping me to figure that out.
