    The Claymore is a military style knife from Benchmade. The code at the front of the knife is F T E front towards enemy. Referencing the explosive. Cause, you know, in case a soldier doesn’t know what way to place the damned thing.

    You can melt the end of a plastic pen with a lighter and then press it onto the screws so it melts and molds. Then you have a free microtech screw tool. Works like a charm and will never strip your screw head since the plastic will just deform.

    I agree on the grip of the SOCOM. As hard as it fires, the ability to use a firmer(more secure)grip would be nice. Still one of my favorite knives.

    I just got the Benchmade Mediator. I'm really digging the style and design on it. Plus, the s90v is a nice upgrade. If you ever get a chance to pick up the Mediator. You definitely should. I'd definitely recommend it.

    I have always had really good luck cleaning my OTF autos worth alcohol. I’ll let it dry after soaking up and working yet back-and-forth until it was clean. Then I apply rim oil. Sometimes people put too much oil on their knives and it makes it hard to Lock up. There just isn’t enough friction for it to lock up if there is too much oil in it.

    • @preparedmind101
      @preparedmind101  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried alcohol. Didn't work for me.

      @@preparedmind101 Man, I wonder if it’s a warranty thing. I bought a guardian tactical 035 that was so oiled up worth something like vegetable oil or something crazy LOL. I put it in a bowl full of alcohol and kept working yet. At first it wouldn’t open all the way and barely slid just an inch out. I let it soak overnight and kept on working at the next morning. It finally start a deploying all the way. I just kept on pulling it all the way out even if it wouldn’t go all the way and locking it up manually. I’ll let it sit overnight in the open position too. I took it out and let it dry and now it’s one of the best knives I’ve ever had. I didn’t even put the oil back on it. It works dry really well. I hope it’s not a warranty issue man those really sucked and it takes a while to get your stuff back.

It always puts my thumb on the button, i can get my nail into it, whereas sometimes i have to search for the little round ones. Try it 20 times each, i guarantee youll hit the socom button much more consistently. Thanks for another great vid!

    A claymore (/ˈkleɪmɔːr/; from Scottish Gaelic: claidheamh-mòr, "great sword") is either the Scottish variant of the late medieval two-handed sword or the Scottish variant of the basket-hilted sword. The former is characterised as having a cross hilt of forward-sloping quillons with quatrefoil terminations and was in use from the 15th to 17th centuries.

    • @firstlast2514
      @firstlast2514 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually in the case of the benchmade claymore, it is named after the American mine/bomb. And the Morse code on the front says F T E, meaning "front towards enemy" reminiscent of the actual claymore mine.

    • @deceptivepanther
      @deceptivepanther 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Oh snap! I have the same ultratech satin tanto!. I use Liberty synthetic pivot lube on all my knives. Never misfires. I used to love Spydercos, then Benchmade, then Microtech. They're so frkn slick. I don't pretend that theyre not weapons. I don't use them for anything else except the occasional cigar cap. Thats when the Para 2 comes out the other pocket. Thst Halo is sick. I hear Microtech has great customer service. Just send them over and tell them your problems. They do resharpening as well. I have mostly socoms which never fail, and combat Troodons. I suggest buying the tightening bits from eBay, and putting some threadlocker blue on them. Just remember that disassembly voids warranty. Socom autos are dead reliable, and they are usually more available for purchase. Nice auto collection bro... seriously.
