The Moza line up is getting ever more complete. I could see Moza trying to sneak in an O- or D-shaped Sparco-ish wheel in between the CS and RS V2, to be a mid-range Rally/Drift/Road Car wheel, in the $/€ 300,- range. Perhaps one which will have a horn again.. ;)
Yo Mike just break out the 3D printer and make you a cap. 😉 Thanks for the review. I think the R12 and the KS are the ones to beat. Moza is knocking it out of the park!
If Simagic doesn´t release a comparable wheel thiting this price range, I´ll have to get one of these with the Hub. It´s a great value even with the added hub price.
Hey, Mike! What do you think would be a good upgrade path from a G27? T300 or go straight with a direct drive like a Moza(which torque output would you recommend as well)? I don’t think I’ll be upgrading soon though as I don’t have the funds to do so. I’d just like to hear your opinion on this. Thanks yo!
As a former T300/Ferrari F1 wheel user, I went with the R9/GS combo as my upgrade. It was the best bang-for-buck option at the time (about a year ago). If I were to do the jump currently, I would do the R12 and KS wheel. Plenty for my needs. Or if you have a few extra bucks burning in your pockets, the GS wheel.
I recently just switched from a G27 to the R9 CS v2 wheel. Love it. I think the R9 is plenty strong enough. To be honest, I'm not all that much quicker with the DD setup vs the G27, but I'm lapping a lot more consistently with the DD setup. I suppose if you can afford the extra price to get the R12, then that will give you a bit more flexibility.
@@SimRacing604It is expensive but is the best imo . I went from G29 to Simucube 2 Pro in and i must say that i was blown away by the difference. G29 is feels like a toy now 😆 The dynamic range of the SC2 is on another level...i can feel the car on the limit and it feels like real racing now . With the SC2 there is no clipping at all , eau rouge flat with F1 in AC feels so nice when there is no clipping.
15:51 That actually gives a good idea. What would be the size to cover a QR wheel? If we get the dimensions right we can create our own "QR Wheel Cap" products. This is the first wheel I ever pre-ordered, before I even have the base. Moza officially has finally won me over.
It’s not compatible with older V1 bases (featuring the 3 piece contacts in the hub). The KS doesn’t feature wireless communication, which the R9 V1 and R21 V1 and R16 V1 require. Instead, it is much like the ES, requiring a base with 5 contact patches inside the hub. Therefore it is compatible with the current line up of the: - R5 - R9 V2 - R12 - R16 V2 - R21 V2
@@RacingWithChuck27 Not entirely.. The KS wheel can be wired to the Moza Universal Hub (like the FSR wheel) via its RJ-connector in the back. That will allow it to work with non-Moza wheelbases, but also the older V1 bases by Moza.
I just wish MOZA offered replacement grips for their wheels where it would give you options if you wanted to swap out. I have a v1 GS wheel with the Alcantara. Don't like them and don't like to use gloves. If I could get the leather grips which are an option on the GS v2 I would be in heaven. Pineapple grips that I ordered are not impressive and take forever to get (2 months).
It’s nice when an OEM listens to their customers, great review, thanks for taking the time to make it.
Thanks so much!
Amazing how a new brand comes out with the best quick release!
6:30 wheel looks like it's workin pretty w-OH MY GOD THAT BUILDING IS MOVING

Looks more like a red bull f1 2010-14 wheel.
That’s exactly what I thought when I first saw it
Fellow steering wheel nutheads 🤝🤝🤝
or the Williams wheel that they've been using every year since the dawn of time lol

I absolutely agree on the pins topic
Great review as always. Has Moza said anything about console compatibility in the future? God bless and race on 🏁
Hoping moza comes out and gets in on the PlayStation DD ecosystem 🤞🏽

If price wasn’t a factor, would you pick the KS or GS?

id go for a moza r9 or r12

Does the software have to be running while you are driving or can you configure the wheel and then close the app?
Configure then close the app. But you'll have different configs for different Sims and car classes
Is it better or worse than the gs? Or is it just different?
looking at buying it for my simucube. is the wheel too flimsy for this?
I wish Simucube had a 300mm formula style wheel like this one....
I wish I could own a Simucube wheelbase. I’ve heard nothing but good. But the price keeps me away

Yeah, it would be cool to have a third-party cap. I think the dimensions are listed on the Moza website

I deffinately wanted rubber. The best material for wheels IMHO. That’s why premium wheels are rubber.

Worst part about sim racing is shipping costs and times, even stock levels...
Sorry Fanatec, your Mclaren gt3 rim has been usurped. Moza had better make a lot of these things
