the glazing is insane. LMAO nah but fr i had a g29 too and recenty got an r5, and although i wish i got some of the cheaper brands for more strength, im pretty happy with the quality and my only criticism is that they send a coiled wire to STRETCH from my pedals all the way to the wheelbase. So i had to spend some time trying to stretch the cable for it to not bend at its ports
Yes it makes a difference, how big is dependent on you. Biggest leap is pedals. I didn't see a big jump, but I've been racing for 20+ years. Probably second or 2 a lap.
@jname9368 yeah definitely. I put that down to my wheel Rotary positions and pull and push levers. If you upgrade anywhere that's significant it's shakers. Buttkicker and pedal shakers. They're essential.
Yeah good luck buying from germany only at a time they have so many problems and also trying to get you in a closed ecosystem. Btw when they fix all that (corsair is buying them cuse they fked up) they are good and worth it
As long as you ignore how fanatec nickel and dimes you with a horrendous quick release system. They have different pieces and tiers of quick release parts that aren't compatible with all the bases and wheels and all cost ridiculous prices.
Would Moza send me free stuff for review if they knew i would say bad things about it? Probably not... The wheelbases are cheap because the motor and the electronics are not that good, even the encoders are only 15 bits while games will read 16 bits, more would be welcome specially for filtering but you can only get 18 bits from their expensive models (R16 and R21) which are not worth since at that price point you can get a lot better. The wheel is plastic, it has leds but no Simhub compatibility which make it useless and the shifters are a bit garbage, specially the paddles, and for that price point the Simagic GT Neo with the Maglink is just much better (and it's usb, so you can use with any wheelbase connecting it directly to the pc). To finalize, i wonder if Moza regrets sending you stuff after seeing cardboard boxes under loadcell pedals...
On point but what's worse is that they even lie about their product specs. R16v2 teardown shows that it's not even an 18 bit encoder as claimed. This company literally lies and gets away with it by giving out free stuff cos it's cheap.
My W sim racing setup is a G 27 a folding chair and my tv
Only thing I would say to get on the higher end would be pedals.
We better get some more streams with this setup
Interesting insights into your sim racing path. Love to see everyone's perspectives.

Most people seem to not gain too much pace with better setups but are able to be significantly more consistent which is much more important imo

I loved this and want to see more of this but if we're being honest, we all know Fanatec is better bang for the buck
hi I have the fanatec csl 5nm its great and a good price.

Cool upgrade! Any live content coming soon with the new gear?
Are you doing only shorts for f1 coverage now? 😢
PB’s incoming 💪
Yes it does.
