Purine Synthesis Regulation

  • In this video I have explained all the regulatory enzymes in purine nucleotide biosynthesis regulated by allosteric modulators. Most regulated enzymes in purine synthesis are PRPP synthetase, glutamine phosphoribosyl amidotransferase, IMD dehydrogenase and adenylosuccinate synthetase. These enzymes in purine biosynthesis are regulated by feedback regulation and positive allosteric modulation.

      Dr.Mungli ❤ dr PRPP amidotfanferase is the key enzyme of regulotory in purine bio syntheis right .? becouse it inhibted by 6 molecules ....

      it saves time and energy simply by using purine bases coming from diet and cell turnover.

    why only Nucleoside diphosphates (GDP , ADP ) is inhibiting PRPP synthetase ? Not Nucleoside Monophosphates or triphosphates ?

    A) Adenosine phosphoribosyl transferase
    B) Hypoxanthine guanine phosphoribosyl transferase
    C) Availability ofPRPP
    D) None of these
