    Hi me again :)
    My stool analysis shows my pancreatic elastase1 is normal, however I have elevated putrefactive short chain fatty acids, indicating protein maldigestion.
    If I have normal pancreatic function, what causes maldigested protein?
    Another thing however showed I have low Chymotrypsin, but how can this be when my pancreatic elastase1 result is normal?
    I think this is the root cause of my neurotransmitter issues. I have to find the break in the chain of digestion I believe.
    Sorry if I posted on the wrong video!

    Again, your videos are awesome. I’m on methotrexate and have been quite curious as to how exactly it’s working in my body. I’m taking folic acid the days I don’t take the methotrexate. What would happen to my body if I didn’t take the folic acid like I’m supposed to?

    • @dge.
      @dge. 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Carla Vegas I’m not so sure about folic acid itself, but i know that FOLINIC ACID (aka leucovorin - a form of folic acid) provides tetrahydrofolate (the substrate/what you need to produce DNA) for the use of normal, non-harmful cells. (Methotrexate doesn’t know it’s destroying normal cells too, all it knows is to destroy all fast growing cells! This is bad news for your GIT cells and bone marrow, because they are rapidly dividing cells) in short, folic acid will provide the needed tetrahydrofolate for DNA synthesis for your GIT and bone marrow.
      You can think of it this way: taking folic acid is a way of “rescuing” normal and unharmful cells!
      Knowing this, if you stop taking folic acid, you will have bone marrow toxicity/myelosuppression (fatigue, paleness, shortness of breath etc) and GIT toxicity (serious nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea). Hope i made sense 😅

    • @carlavegas887
      @carlavegas887 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      dge omg it actually does! Thank you! That kind of sounds scarier than taking methotrexate. But would that happen at low 12.5 mg dose?
