but it teaches valueable skills. I drove my 1986 GT Mustang in the New England winters until only two bolts were holding the driver seat in place. Having 2.73:1 rear gears helped, but if an uphill stoplight went yellow I had no choice but to roll through it or be stuck.
Living an hour south of N. Adams, I can attest to airstrip drag racing. Over in Sterling MA there was the 330 Orange drag day until a few years ago. It was old school racing with a flag girl and swap meet, just walking the pits was like going to a traditional 'rod show, like the old Rockabilly Rumble or recent shows like Rumble in the Country at Terryville Fairgrounds or HotRod Fallout or Silver City Shakedown. But the racing itself was a trip back in time--like some of the scenes out of Two Lane Blacktop. For the amount of mods done to this virgin Fox, a four banger swap to an Explorer GT40P could have sufficed.
My buddy bought a '93 Cobra 30 years ago when we were just hitting our 20's. Beautiful, low-mile, damn near brand new car. Naturally, he got it in February in MA - roads frozen and covered in road salt. We did a TON of fishtailing that night, lol. I cringe thinking of driving a Fox Cobra in salt, even back then!! YIKES! Later, he threw a Procharger on it, along with a few other goodies. Thing was a ton of fun! I wonder where that car is now ... Someone probably had to do a bunch of body work to it, I'd imagine, because of that winter 30 years ago. Good times!
Really really enjoyed this entire series. That being said, the "finale" was a complete let down. I dont think anyone would care if they had to wait a little longer for a actual testing video on dry ground with a draggy. Cant really build something for 30k for drag racing and not actually show what kind of time it will run.....
Outstanding series, a lot of skill and hard work. It was great to hear everyone had the same nostalgic reaction working on it, as we did watching. Side note - Mr Musto with the torch needs to be on a t-shirt! Thank you as always ~ Chuck
Thanks Dave! Honestly, the ProCharger fell right we thought it would be, so we're pretty happy with it. Now, that doesn't mean more tuning isn't in order down the line...
How do you get permission to drive on runways? I'm a pilot and here in MN the Metropolitan Airport Commission (MAC) has a conniption fit when a car just tries to cross a runway.
You need to do a Part 7 on dry pavement. Fox Body Mustangs are a handful in the rain. Ask me how I know. 😁
You are not kidding!

This car needs a set of AFR185s, Systemax intake, and a B cam(they alll had B cams back in the day).
It never gets old and it certainly never stops being fun. Thank you for a great year and the year coming will be even greater I'm sure.
Thank YOU for watching! 2023 was a great one and we've got a ton of stuff coming in 2024 so stay tuned!
Thanks for the video, it was nice, it would have been a lot better with a dry weather but it is what it is.
Sometimes mother nature decides to water the earth at the most inopportune moments.
Gonna be hard to top this Series. Hopefully, the Foxes story doesn't end here...
Nope - and trust me, we will be!

Watched the whole series, looking forward to the dry run! Great series, we still have our 91 5 spd coupe we bought new!
That is awesome!
Dry day testing, Procharger rocks
We will do a dry day test have no fear!
Episode 7; saleen wing. The ultimate nostalgic piece.
Steeda wing looks better tho

Would be great to track it down for him! Thanks for sharing!

Unfortunately that's just how production works at times. But we'll be getting you some dry numbers once the weather breaks in VT, don;'t worry.
How about a follow up session with a draggy? Bring along the Z28 for a good time!
Oh... just you wait, it's in the works!

Thank as always Chuck for the support, and yeah... that T-Shirt think may have to happen 😁
Love the channel good stuff 👍 👏 👌
Thank you!
Come on Mike part 7 no rain!
Yup - you'll get it, don't worry.
I am surprised the Paxton didn't add more HP. Enjoy all your stuff. Thanks. HEY PEOPLE, SUBSCRIBE!
Thanks Dave! Honestly, the ProCharger fell right we thought it would be, so we're pretty happy with it. Now, that doesn't mean more tuning isn't in order down the line...
The grand finale was a grand disappointment. We need a good test day with the fox body guys.
And you'll be getting it in the spring - we promise
That was hilarious that the wheel supplier socked didn't fit their wheels the QA person has egg on their face!
Pointless finale testing in the rain lol don’t even test it at all then.
No Mike 300hp on nine pounds suck. Rain sucks. Do better. Wont be drilling holed in my mint dash either.
As suggested do video 7 in dry conditions.
You shall have it - don't worry
WTF are you running the car on slicks in the rain for? There is literally no point to this.
Because we wanted to solicit awesome comments like this one.
Everybody knows a foxbody and wet roads dont mix well.
$30,000 all in you guys over paid for it🤔
Nah.
Power Adder and stickies w/o subframe connectors? That car isn't going to last long. Ask me how I know...
Have no fear Gerry, connectors are welded in!

We race at airstrips all the time but they usually shut it down
Like anything else, it's just phone, and concise business plan and of course, insurance.
Why’s the tach going to like 8000rpm lol
😎😎😎
What a disappointing end to this series.
