First Ride out of 2024

I managed to get out for a long needed ride out today, weather has been truly awful with rain and high winds. But today the sun was out which is what we all need to lift our spirit’s ,it was quite gusty in places but that wasn’t going to stop me.
I have plenty of ideas for BikePacking trips this coming year once the weather warms up.

I was doing well but I’ve pulled my right calf ffs so rest up from running , cycling is less impact tho 👍 wheelchair maybe got me lol 😂

i got rid of my E bike so i can at least get some riding time on my route to work and back, i hardly get time to go cycling anymore, and i cant be bothered while the weather is bad.

I just have my hybrid e-bike these days but only use it really windy days, cycling to and from work still helps with the fitness. But this weather doesn’t fill us with joy to get out . I will watch your latest vid later as I was busy editing a new trip last night 📷👍

Hi Dave, good to see you out on the bike again. The weather has been bloody awful! I live up in Stockport and it's like we have had the kitchen sink thrown at us up here with storms, gales and even a tornado which ripped through Stalybridge not too far away! It's been very difficult to get motivated for the bike but i am starting to get some commute rides done and the odd weekend ride. Keep on biking!! 🚲🚴‍♂🚵‍♂

Yes it’s been pretty depressing weather with the odd nice day , but trying to align them with days off is rare ! I have a little trip planned Tuesday , showery weather forecast but need to get some miles in . Hope the weather improves and you get some rides done . Tfw atb Dave
