Nice video I am 68 now and fancy doi bike packing. I have bought myself a n e-bike to assist the hills have you thought about an e-bike for yourself Dave. Keep up the good work your video has inspired me but I will need better weather for my old bones👍
Thanks Stephen , I actually own a pedal assist e-bike but don’t use it for my BikePacking trips, mainly because I do multi day trips which will be further than my range. Although I do plan on a trying the e-bike on an overnighter just to test it out . TFW atb Dave ⛺️🚲👍
Hi Dave. Lovely countryside and video presentation. My wife and I are early 70s and enjoy cycling. Will follow you more having stumbled onto you, safe travels from New Zealand.
Hi Dave. Great video. I rid out that way over down the Eden Valley but on slightly different roads. I am a new sub to your channel having found it last week. I have been going through watching lots of your videos, but this will be the first one I have commented on. I also live in Carlisle, so I especially like the little bits you do around the city on the bike paths. It's teaching me little cuts that I didn't know about before. I only moved to the city a couple of years ago so lots is still new to me. Before that I was in Maryport for a couple of years, and before that down in the Midlands for far far too long. ( I grew up in Lancashire, so found your Leeds Liverpool, and Lancaster canal trips interesting). I suspected that you had something to do with the railway at some point, don't know what it was exactly, but just the way you talked about the old routes gave it away. Anyway, might see you out on the bike in the area.
Thanks for the sub mate, I hope you can work out some new routes from my vids, it’s a case of just exploring the area. I study the os app on my iPad looking for where I can go and can’t lol . I’m a driver on the railways , I quite like exploring old railways 😂😂 atb Dave 🚲👍
Have been enjoying your backpacking videos for years, now loving the bikepacking! I have a 3 speed folding bike and have ridden some multi day UK trails. I have a similar tent to yours, a Nordisk Telemark 1, it is tiny but I always sleep so well in it. Mine suffers from condensation too - nothing’s perfect! I’ve just subscribed to this new channel, here’s to a good long camping season and happy miles on the bike this year, ATB Debbie
Thanks for the sub Debbie , I bought a Brompton last year but haven’t done a bike packing trip on it yet. looking forward to better weather and more bike camping trips atb Dave 🚲⛺️👍
I spent 5 months in Scarborough last summer in a one man bivvy tent but this is definitely something I will be doing the next time I go off..Glad I found ur channel, subbed, all the best from Leeds..👍

Ever have trouble with dogs? so many love to chase bikes and bite the tires I have been flipped by a few I did not see coming lol. 😅
Been chased a couple of times , buts it’s those extending leads and owners who can’t control them mostly 😂 normally I will give them I wide berth !!
Fair play to you Dave, you make it look appealing
