Hell yeah. This was what I was looking for! Got me through World with a weapon I've since mastered but played for the first time, and now...I'll play LBG in Rise for the first time! Great stuff-
Just wanted to say thanks man, your mh guides have been a mainstay for me in getting into world, and now with rise I can direct new players to them still. I'm starting GU for the first time in the upcoming weeks and I can't wait to go back and see what I was missing. I hope you're doing well and doing what you love.
Thanks for this great guide watched a few and have been a great help started with the dual blades enjoyed them but getting to my arthritis. Enjoying the L. Bowgun. Thanks for all the great information! Have gone back to them often.
Blue skull also appears under the monster's icon in the top right to let you know they you can cap them.

Mangamalo's lbg is the premier spread option, it also has sticky 3 and slicing, which you could build for exclusively if you want
I found spread super underwhelming, and theres also no real way to boost it reasonably until you get Spread Decos. At which point I think Rapid Fire Pierce is probably just better overall anyways. HBG I'm pretty sure I'm just running pierce the whole time since Spread feels so bad.
@@RecommendedPlaying spread still gets top speed runs, it's just you run spread 3, the thing is you use the sticky 3 to proc stun, then put down a mine, spam spread, then use slicking and stickies to get ko/break knockdowns respectively. If you want spread armmor use rakna

the usurpers crime 1 you said the piercing thunder and normal 2? i tried normal 2 and you only get 3 shots normal 3 is where it's at havnt tried piercing thunder cause the ammo is so expensive but will try it soon.
You run normal 2 because of Rapid Fire.

So I have all the stuff to make the viak set but it wont unlock the armor for me do I need to hunt something or talk to someone
It happened to me as well. But Vaik set appeared to me on GH 6Star
