I cannot express this enough, thank you for making these videos. I am a person who can get easily overwhelmed when a game throws tons and tons of info at me like Rise does right at the start. These videos have helped me since I started playing rise a couple days ago and back when I first got into world when it released. I don't always follow them religiously, mostly because I'm too poor of a player to be able to go heavily into just offensive builds, but what I love about these videos is they help me find what's important in the sea of information and make me able to understand a baseline to build for my poor play off of. I'm the kind of player that if I don't have earplugs, stun resistance, and speed eating I can't do too much and your videos have helped a dumbass like me be able to play and enjoy games. Don't know if you'll see this but I wanted to at least try and let you know you've helped someone tremendously with both your rise videos and the world videos previously. Again, thank you so much.

I would like to say I'm so glad you learned from your monster hunter world progression guides. I'm not complaining because I absolutely understand but your heavy bowgun guide was thick with burnout. It was not great but again I completely understand. Seeing these for rise and how you cut down how much game time you needed to make these amazingly detailed videos is truly wonderful to see. I cannot stress how happy it makes me to see these done without it severely damaging your sanity.
Edit: oh and to contribute to the video you can see when a monster is ready to capture under it's icon at the top right. The blue skull is very easy to see there rather than the minimap.

Late to the game joining MHR on Switch. Your guide has been invaluable as I've progressed through the levels. Just hit 5* and loving it. Great long sword guide and I really appreciate the breakdown at each star level. Keep it up!!

I personally went for the kulu ls and tried to max crit eye and some attack. Made it into high rank as of today.

Important Notes:
Village 3* - 18:21 gear
Village 4* - 24:01 gear
Village 5* - 28:50 gear, recommended to skip gearing and push through
Village 6* - do special license test 1-3, do the blue apex
HR 4* - 41:01 gear

The spreadsheet will show the order of weapons. I'm quite literally working down the list that its shown when you talk to the blacksmith.
I was looking for some help in regards to upgrading to a defender longsword 3. Even though I have so many monster bones it still requires bones+ which I have no idea how to acquire. Still, this video has been so entertaining I ended up subscribing and liking. Great video, and if you have some time to reply i'd like some advice in acquiring this bones+ to upgrade my defender longsword 2 to 3. Thank you.

im not 100% sure but I believe in a somewhat recent update they added the defender weapons and the black belt armor set which makes most equipment available in low rank obsolete. Im a new MHR player please correct me if im wrong. Id really like to know if thats the case because Ill watch this video from a later time stamp! These guides are fantastic, I used this for MHW last year.
Just restarted MHR today to get ready for Sunbreak. Yes they added defender weapons and two good armor sets.
The defender set is for those who want to speedrun an already easy game to sun break. I really wouldn’t recommend using them

I'm getting back into MHR after a hiatus from switch and started again on pc. I have no idea why I have yet to unlock the final step in the Narg LS tree. I've beaten Rakna twice now and yet still no sword available. Do I have to hunt Magna in order to unlock this? Kind of lost. Otherwise I'm having a real bear of a time hunting Magna successfully solo and in a group of four.
Do you have the Rakna spike, AND the narga medulla?

2 questions pls...
1. What's the purpose of pet armor? Do they really can die?
2. How can I unlock weapons in the tree that don't show needed materials? I know some are able by request of villagers... Is that the only way?
A bit late but here
1. Yes your companions can get knocked out but they'll come back. The armor is so they can stay in the fight longer.
2. Those weapons will be shown later down the line, as you more than likely lack access to several of the components required to make the gear.
What about the kulu yaku LS? It has hella green sharpness

Does anyone know how to upgrade the Defender Katana to the Champion Longsword? I can't find any information on that progression anywhere.
It says its generic bones dude.
@@RecommendedPlaying I figured it out; it does say that, but you can't upgrade the Defender Longsword to the Champion Longsword until after the fight with Bishaten.
