@@Davidjon1946they're solid just about everywhere outside parts of North America where most of the US subarus are built. That's why they have such a bad reputation for reliability in the USA but here in England, and around Europe and the home market, Japan, you can ask most Subaru owners what they think about their cars and they'll tell you theyre solid. The US ones are just not built as well i don't think.

My dad has had a Volvo for like 25 years. It has upwards of seven hundred thousand miles and it runs perfectly fine.

@@thealgorithmisbroken Without a doubt! I had an old 4.9 last over 60k despite a serious main bearing knock from the previous owner's negligence and/or abuse. Kept it full of 20w50 and retarded the timing. The truck itself rotted out and fell apart after a few years of hard work. I sent it off to the scrapper still running.
The Peugot was epic....fire and water pouring out at the same time!
Waste of a good engine though

Thousands of dollars of work on a vehicle thats not worth that much unfortunately. Same reason i had to get rid of my Saturn with a bad transmission. Even if it was fixable id rather put that money towards an overall better vehicle

I wish I could agree with you. Those cars are built to only destroy themselves at 60,000km/miles whichever comes first. One of the worst products GM has ever produced.
Small turbo engines are crap. The internals really aren't strong enough, plus more stress put on fewer cylinders. The GM turbo 1.4 is a turd no matter what it's in
The car is a great car, only thing that sucks is the engine, if GM could fix this, their sale may sky rocket. Especially since the market is selling high in 4 cylinders and economic cars.
Head gasket leak. Did you see the coolant? A big one too. The Cruze isn't much more than an economy car though.

I drove my '89 Toyota with a blown head gasket for +5 years, it's amazing how well they made engines back then, and I don't mean just simple daily driving, I mean hitting the rev limiter when accelerating onto the motorway, driving over 130km/h to the barracks and back when I was doing my conscription.
last summer I took it to the shop because it was blowing so much exhaust into the cooling system that I had exhaust coming out of the radiator lol.

Sie Menschen schenken, welche Sie bräuchten, sich aber keine leisten können! Aber einfache mutwillige Zerstörung, nur um sich daran zu erfreuen - ist einfach widerlich! Man hat einfach das Gefühl, daß sich das Niveu der Menschen samt Ihreres IQ's stark gesunken ist! Man hat NICHTS gegen einen Test, um zu sehen, was die Maschine wirklich kann und was Sie so aushält - aber das macht man normalerweise in Testzentren oder auch vor der Serienproduktion im Realbetrieb!

In 2018 my dad gave me a 1998 honda civic CX hatch that he had with 750k miles on all stock factory parts and one day when i was going home i has just got on the street home and the d16y7 it had in it exploded. But after that we k swapped it and i still have the car to this day

Pretty much. Then they lose power gradually, lowering rpm till an earth shattering kerboom happens and your engine probably dies.
