      That's pretty shocking to be honest man if you still dont know the fundamentals of roofing/spouting.... maybe pick a different career path if you still struggle with the basics lol no hate!!

    great vid. Can I ask, does one really have to cut the the last sheet if it fits in line with the barge board as a full sheet, saves on the extra cutting work work

    • @metalroofing7210
      @metalroofing7210 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Johnny Kay Hi Johnny. If the last sheet fits perfectly without having to cut it then that’s great. No cutting required 😊👍

    what is the gap distance between the opposing sheets at the top of the ridge? Or how far should the ridge capping cover the sheets ?
    BTW.. excellent tutorials.

    • @metalroofing7210
      @metalroofing7210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Keith. I try to make the gap between the two sheets at the top as minimal as possible- around 20 mm. So that the you get the maximum coverage with the ridge capping

    How are the lengths of insulation joined together? Are they just sitting next to each or taped on the inside?

    • @metalroofing7210
      @metalroofing7210 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nicholas. The insulation lengths are just lapped over one another 🤙

    Great video! Is the process any different when installing 100mm insulation blankets, or is it all the same?

  • @michaelwilliamson2774
    @michaelwilliamson2774 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Does it matter which way up the roof blanket is facing?

    • @metalroofing7210
      @metalroofing7210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Michael,
      Yes I would only recommend it done the way I have shown 🤙

      In temperate climates the foil should be on the bottom. In tropical climates it should be on the top.

    Do you deal with foam for weather noise restriction? For in Sydney, students have been trained as building designers (draftmens) at Sydney tafe and architectural designers at Sydney university that foam for weather noise restriction is used. But now I'm left wondering that if dealing with foam, it's a choice for customers who want it or not for I have not seen sub contracters use them. This is just so that I know that in the tech industry, when working for architectural firms, when dealing with two story buildings or high tech buildings, such as, let's say...! So as not to go into too much detail, more than two story buildings in Sydney, on cad software, such as, "computer aided design," and also dealing with customers. If I also choose to pursue my career in structural engineering, I know how to liaise and interact with customers and with expert architects and know on cad software the input detected there is to add to my design project if customers want it. Maybe in Victoria there are different rules and regulations for color bond roofing for it's not in the ABC (Australian building code) as of such or is it just a choice for customers anywhere in Australia. Your feedback is valuable and appreciated for architectural firms and future Australian design homes Thank you for sharing your footage to students and experts and to youtube, "thank you," for the memories.

    Also, what are his screws in the right side of his tool belt when he's right handed, instead of reaching around with your left hand to the right side, have your screws in the left pouch, you can work faster and more efficiently

    why use insulation pads under the iron and then aluminium foil underneath?
