  • Boosting elastin and collagen in your skin allows for lifting, glow and a more youthful look. Elastin is the main component of elastic fibers, which provide stretch, recoil, and elasticity to the skin.
    There are similarities and differences between elastin vs collagen, though. While they are both proteins that work together in your connective tissue, collagen gives the skin strength and resilience, and elastin allows the skin to be flexible while also returning to its original shape.
    Collagen fibers make up 90% of the skin, and elastin makes up 10%. Both are produced by fibroblasts.

    Thank u wonderful Dr Raj!!! Love these kinds of vids! My fav! I think on off days from retinol which I might do like once or twice a week I’m gonna do a combo of oils before bed so it’ll be maybe grapeseed which I think is the lightest then Argan then Castor L O L! AND I’m going to do a body layering of jojoba and Argan to keep the skin on my body looking good! So much more therapeutic than a cream and so much better than plain coconut oil that I have been doing, for elasticity and stretch marks! 🥳

      @BehindTheBush96 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oils aren’t harsh on the skin, so there’s no reason you’d need to stop one to start another (unless you’re unsure if you’re allergic to one) - they’re not active ingredients like retinol, AHAs and BHAs etc. that will irritate your skin if you use a few together.
      You can mix them; they work synergistically and work even better when you add different plant oils together in a facial oil.
      This is what most skincare companies do when they make facial oils - check the ingredients of a few.

    However, I recently bought some argan oil because I had always wanted to try it, and decided to incorporate a few drops of it in my body cream and O.M.G! It leaves my skin feeling baby soft! Again, even from someone who's skin is already used to being soft, the difference is noticeable!

    For some who are saying olive oil is better It depends on the skin type … prone acne skin will not be okey with olive oil it’s clogging can cause more pimples .. there’s too many great oils that god made and each target a specific problem . Depending what’s the problem in your skin . Each who’ll say a certain oil is the greatest for them . Rosa Mosqueta oil from chilli & Patagonia is better than rose hip oil cause it has tretinoin naturally .. & it depended on what you want … there’s is also prickly pear which is in Algeria Tunisia and Mexico …. Ect who has the same benifits as Argan oil and more other in composition. You can add drops in pomegranate on the neck with your moisturiser or after it . Grapes seed under eyes only and around . The oils world is so big . There is some other good oils do you know tomato oil has the best skin barrier composition and Oat oil has naturally ceramides to boost your barrier and moisturiser ..and Tamanu oil is the greatest at calming the skin from redeness irritation fastest like no other oil cause it contains something in it it composition that no other oil has . So we can’t say one oil is better than other oils . Just like no fruit or veggie is better than another vegg . They all made by god and contains special benefits and each body and skin & hIr what need. all oils are amazing it depends on what you search for and what suits your skin which skin type you have & what you need and body love . I love tea trea oil especially if I touched a pimple it helps it heal faster make the redness inflammation go faster . I’ve so many oils I love .

I have been using morrocanoil it’s 60$ but it is the best for keeping your face looking naturally moisturized without a greasy lotion look and it has vitamins and minerals that sinks into your body through your pores.. it also makes black hair shiny fresh and wavy 🌊

    I travel to Morocco and bring back oil to sell. I do it not to make money but help my very good friends and the rest of the villiage make a living. It is undiluted and sustainablely harvested. I use ut at my med-spa and sell it to my clients. I am currently running low and don't have any to sell until I go back in February.
    Authentic argan oil has a distinct smell. It should have a distinguishable NUTTY smell. If it doesn't its heavily diluted and not pure eith an undisclosed carrier oil. If real argan oil has expired it will have a very clear rancid smell. Because of the high vit e content it has an extended shelf life.

      That’s cause that expensive crap that’s sold to you on supermarket shelves by skincare companies almost always has a bunch of other crap thrown in, including fragrance. It’s probably very rarely pure, undiluted oil.
      Buy pure plant oils from a wholesaler, instead. Way cheaper AND it’s pure and undiluted oil that’s better quality.

    • @BehindTheBush96
      @BehindTheBush96 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Apply oils all over the face as the last step in your skincare routine; after moisturising (add the heaviest/oiliest skincare products last so the lighter ones can penetrate your skin first and the oil will trap in the moisture and your other products).
      As for shopping for the best oils - look for a wholesale skincare ingredients/plant oil seller as its cheaper to buy bigger bottles of pure oil and they’ll last longer than those small skincare drugstore oils that cost a lot more because they’re sold at retail so the skincare company can also make a profit, as opposed to you just buying from the supplier.
      You can shop around and compare prices of wholesalers, too, just make sure the oil you buy is advertised as cold-pressed and organic - if it’s not, then the beneficial fatty acid and vitamin content that makes plant oils beneficial for skin won’t be as potent.
