The reason the S model looks identical to the regular model is cause the regular model has the S line package which gives it S sport styling, thats how its always been with Audi, the regular models with the S line package and the actual S cars have always looked identical besides the silver mirror caps on the actual S model. The RS model is when there’s an actual difference in styling. I have a 2019 s5 and it looks identical to the regular a5, same with the generation before it.
I don't want to act like a genius but you're right. Only the etron gt and etron gt RS which is an RS looks identical to the normal one. They should've called it an S instead of an RS. All in all I totally agree with the statement.
Lmao hell nah. Even the XM blacked out looks way better then this blob. The x5 and x6 look TONS more aggresive and head turning. This looks like an out dated blob
Their best steering wheel which in my opinion is also the best one on the market, at least design wise, is the round impact absorber, flat-bottom with perforated leather wheel.
The overhang on the right screen for the driver is to hide/obstruct the optional passenger screen from the view of the driver in order to legally allow the passenger to watch videos on the the optional passenger screen.
I don't know if that's the reason because it's still visible from the POV of the driver, which is why they implemented the cover that hides the content shown on the screen from the angle of the driver. So the drive can see the screen but they can see what it's showing... making that big random shape purely a design choice.
Other videos show that’s it to help people reach and select icons at the far side of the screen. The curved part ensues it’s easier to reach than if it was flat. It’s also to help the driver see the icons and information face on instead of at an angle.
Man, the big three German brands have really lost their touch when it comes to their interiors. Mercedes has become too flashy and the screens are absolutely massive, BMW's new screens look as if they're just glued to the dashboard, and now Audi has all these weird shapes and cutlines in their new screens. Not to mention, all three brands have moved the climate controls into the screen. I don't care if they remain stationary and don't go away when you go into a different menu. It's still annoying at times. This is a big disappointment, especially for Audi. Porsche is now the only German brand that has a cohesive interior. What a shame, really.
Cool down, you clown! You are criticising "the three Germans", but in the same time you propbably will be "cheering" about fu....ng ugly Tesla interiors and dashboards, which have nothing but huge rectangular screens on the dashboards and the most fu.....ng awfully build quality in the industry. The German cars still have this specialty, which you don't get from other carmakers. Especially the suspensions of German EVs are the best in the industry.
You sound like an 80 year old grumpy man. You can also use the “Hey Audi” feature to verbally control the climate control. I feel like the people that complain about this are from the Boomer generation.
Yeah that A3 looks much better! I think they were trying to mimic the shape of the previous gauge cluster with the entire screen… that or mimicking the shape of the grille. I don’t know lol. Either way this is a huge disappointment of a car from Audi, that interior is hideous and cheap feeling and the exterior could come from half a dozen brands
That's the problem with this channel, it's very subjective. I used to hate the 2000's audi's design cause it was too boring imo, too "sobre" and now I'm starting to love it cause they are trying to get a bit more creative !
I like the dashboard area, but I'd not go for the passenger screen - makes it look more messy. Overall, the outside of the car looks a little dull. Glad they didn't go down the tesla route of single ipad style screen in the centre like others are doing.
New BMWs also suffer from this, you sit in $80k X5 and it feels like $35k base BMW with a big screen slapped on it. BMW turned away a lot of people with that latest design, and I can't believe Audi is following this. First Audi introduced the touch screen A/C panel, and they moved the navigation screen below eye level, this was still OK and you could get used to it (the pop out display was the best of both worlds, perfectly eye level, yet you could press a button and hide it, but first they disabled the hiding function citing backup camera as a reason, then they moved it down) now all-digital, hard to reach, can't understand the design behind no hood over cluster, just does not feel substantial anymore. Imagine TVs making remote controls touch screen! Would you buy a TV with that remote control? I am glad they haven't done that but if it was cheaper, they definitely would.
I have to disagree with the headlights vs the daytime running lights. I feel like you can play with the daytime running lights more and give the cars more personality. Look at the Lotus SUV and Sedan for example!
First of all, the double headlight trend needs to stop. It‘s clumsy, serves no purpose and takes away confidence like a pair of nerdy glasses. Secondly, a German design should never be this fussy. Leave the over-designed cars to the Koreans. As a long-time Audi fanboi I‘m really digging the Rivian R3‘s lines. Looks like they spent time REMOVING lines and not adding them. That’s something Audi needs to remember from their heyday.
Great looking car. I love how everyone is complaining about everything being incorporated into the touch screen. Tesla has been doing that for years. I see old people driving Teslas. They don’t seem to complain about it at all. I love how this guy thinks his opinion is the end-all be-all.
Exterior lost that sharpness and edge Audi have now, here it is blobby, bringing back soapy 90s styling. Interior is also a fail lacking more and more of tactile features. If displays will have 120hz and run as smooth as iPhones with haptics that will do, but I afraid that will not happen.
Car manufacturers just read Dieter Rams's design rules and got everything wrong SMH. Love the articles in which VW decided to go back to analog buttons for some tasks like climate control, and I think that the whole world at some point will go back to a sort of a phygital approach, at least I really hope so.
The original E-Tron, rebranded as E-Tron Q8, was released 7 years ago. There is no evolution in this design, is just looks more overstylized following the horrible trend of splitting the front lights in two. So sad to see what Audi is doing these days.
Listen man..idk what happened inside VAG but the latest audis/vws/porsches have worse design than previous generations, audi used to have the best interiors, now seem chinese, vws used to have strong lines and creases, now they all bubbly and boring and plane and lazy. When you see what concepts they had 20 years ago, and what they came to in present is kinda sad
The interior tech is such a disappointment for me, They never finished rolling out the newer system that can be found on literally everything except the Q5, A4 And A5. That system even if it looks more utilitarian was super nice when I test drove an A6, It was fast and responsive. The new system looks like they saw GMs EV's (Especially chevy ones like the blazer EV) and then saw Kia EV's and they were like 'lets do that but even less practical - get rid of even more buttons' - Even the texture of the dashboard looks stupidly similar to the EV9's
To clarify im not saying the new system will be slower, but im saying the old system was far ahead of most other brands even if it didnt look like it. Im really sad to see them replace it before they even finished rolling it out.
Looks to me that it was design for the Chinese market. Different stylistic preferences and not a car I would consider, just because of the design. And I’ve been driving Audis for 22 years. Audi is loosing it in terms of style recently. And why all that buzz for the front lights. Useless use of ressources. Not a killer feature in the car. Also, too much screen, too much visible tech on the dashboard. The exterior design is too busy.
You will understand once you see the first reviews. The Q6 will most likely be better than the Q8 in every aspect. You have to remember that the Q8 etron was hastly build on a non electric platform and has old components. I'm not even sure if it will even have that much more space. And it has only been facelifted since 2018. The Q6 will definitely be quicker, have more range, charge faster and be more efficient.
No craftsmanship, just blend surfaces, looking all the same: This reminds me of today's modernist architecture. Soulless boxes with no regard for details or tradition. Sad development (Audi fired its design boss recently. Let's hope there is something better coming along.)
To tell you the truth, when it comes to automobile design, I don't know what t hey were thinking for 9 out of 10 of these EVs on the road right now. Hyundai is the worst offender, with BMW a close second. With exception, those cars look like abominations no wheels. The steering wheel on the SQ6 looks so ugly I'd have to put a towel over it to drive. It look like it came out of a panel truck. Not sporty in any way. I also don't like all those Hyundai Ioniq squares on the DRL. Way too busy. On the other hand, I love the muscular haunches over the wheel well. The jury is still out of the door insert. VW has a similar style on its new Tiguan. It gives the car forward motion even when its standing still. I prefer those super creases to the heavy truck-like double curves on the VW Atlas. Anyway, lest just get rid of the grill -- look altogether. No EVE needs a grill. Just like it doesn't need tail pipes. Let it go.
The da Silva era was the best time at Audi. Marc lichte has been horrible for Audi. There designs are super over styled. And they do not age well. This already looks old. So glad he's gone. Hope the next generation of Audi style and the new designer are much better than the current
That interior looks like it was ripped out of a Kia or a Hyundai. Looks maybe even cheaper than them and it’s sad because they had some of the nicest interiors as well.
boring.....boring.....cars shares the same philosophy to evade THE COMMERCIAL RISK.but designes now puts the ORIGINALITY and THE CREATIVITY at risk. car design departments must destroy some (clichées) that kills the joy of earning a beautiful original timeless design.

Audi go to one of the best interiors to the worst in the entire industry. They destry themselfs. Who in their right mind will buy this thing. If you can affford this and want an suv ev from germany the porsche is so so so much better
Audi has lost its way massively. Overly fussy detailing in all their EVs. Similar to Merc, they had the opportunity and freedom to create beautiful EVs but chose this? Just so average and sometimes plain ugly.
Computerizing cars will eventually reach a climax where things get completely out of hand. Hopefully, incentivizing companies to become more sensible and abandon this ridiculous trend. Fingers crossed, they will realize that all this useless tech doesn't make cars better sooner rather than later, but I've got a bad feeling it will take a crude awakening for them to finally see the stupidity of this trend. And yes, you're hearing this from a Gen-Z er...
I think that the blank section you highlighted at the far right of the drivers display is some kind of psychological/visual barrier to isolate that screen from the passenger display.....or maybe not....😂
Request: if you have the option, stick to analyzing the lighter colored interior. It’s easier to see the details. I’m not sure what’s going on in that jet black interior.
Just buy a car up until 2020, mantain it and enjoy a propper quality! All of the new cars nowadays are damn stupid computers on wheels. Really sad! This makes me to appreciate the older cars with craftmanship and calssic design elements.
stylish design even it is over-detailed in some lines . better than the BMW .there is no doubt on this. but the interior man..🎃...it is a real mess. 🎃 full of HD TV sceens..😅..an easy solution to inform drivers with an ugly weel that looses all the originality .
For me, the most beautiful Audi is the Audi Prologue Quattro Concept. But Audi does a good job in design. BMW does too many experiments and has no clear design line.
Audi has lost their way. I can’t stand this design language. I owned a 2011 Q5 and a 2014 A7 and they were beautiful. But this….this is lazy and sloppy
The reason the S model looks identical to the regular model is cause the regular model has the S line package which gives it S sport styling, thats how its always been with Audi, the regular models with the S line package and the actual S cars have always looked identical besides the silver mirror caps on the actual S model. Came here to comment this exactly. I also want to add that the base Q6 will definitely be toned down quite a bit.
Plasmablue Q6 is S-line and Grey one is SQ6. Didn't find any image of regular Q6 without S-line trim
I don't want to act like a genius but you're right. Only the etron gt and etron gt RS which is an RS looks identical to the normal one. They should've called it an S instead of an RS. All in all I totally agree with the statement.
At least it looks better than the BMW IX that’s for sure.
Like who the fk cares about ix both sucks
That's not that hard 😂
Hot take:
The iX at least it looks special ( and I like it) and not like a Citroen with 4 Rings on it. 🤷♂️
Let’s see how the Q6 e-tron will sell. In 2023 BMW sold way more BEV than Audi.
The iX is unique and is special, not like this
About the rear light bar, Audi was one of the first I think, the A8 has it for a really long time now
No, Saab did it back in 2010.
Lincoln mkviii, Lincoln MKT, Ford was doing it to the Escort well before then... the 70 AMC... this ain't a new thing
This is the best Audi I've seen. They finally upgraded the infotainment. It also looks way better than their previous car
I thought i was the only one that likes the changes they have made
Guess thats a matter of taste.
I like everything except gloss black plastic around the gear selector. Could use some shortcut buttons too.
Said no one ever
Looks like a blob. Compare this car to a bmw x5,x6, or XM. Even interior wise the XM shits all over this.
The Q6 was shown in S-line trim. So it had the same body kit as the SQ6. They haven’t shown the standard body style yet.
Looks better than most BMWs. Not being an Audi person, I can’t tell the difference between this and the other Audi CUVs.
Keep caping
Lmao hell nah. Even the XM blacked out looks way better then this blob. The x5 and x6 look TONS more aggresive and head turning. This looks like an out dated blob

My elderly aunt apparently appreciates the massive screens of Mercedes-Benz. Hasn't needed her reading glasses....

BMW interior isn't that bad. The XM and 7 series have some of bmws best interiors ever. Also the m3 and m4 with their carbon buckets.
Yea the shape of this main screen is confusing as hell. I think the one on current A3 is much better looking, sharp and clean.
How is the shape confusing? It's the shape of the damn grill of the car. :D
The shape of the center screen is designed to look like the grill.
But it's ugly AF
Completely agree with your feelings about the trend of hiding the headlights, cars look more lifeless this way.
@@ralfulrich6254 xd
you are spot on about the interior. such a mess and overuse of touch controls
This thing is quick too. Pulls like a fighter jet.
That's the problem with this channel, it's very subjective.

I’m with you I hate the new trend with the headlights separate from the daytime running lights
they are slowly adopting the grandsphere design language
not a fan of the interior, the exterior is gorgeous tho
amazing car
16:05 Totally agree. All these “screen on the front panel“ designs look uniform and kind of cheap, not only at Audi.
Great looking car. I love how everyone is complaining about everything being incorporated into the touch screen. Tesla has been doing that for years. I see old people driving Teslas. They don’t seem to complain about it at all. I love how this guy thinks his opinion is the end-all be-all.

Audi had the Avant rs2 back then with a light bar
the best audi's have odd numbers, all the even numbers are failed experiments
Rs4 and rs2?!
RS6 Avant? R8, RSQ8?
I dont think their are good audi anymore. They have went to shih performance wise.
talk about a failed comment lmaooo
Rating Audi A1 over a RS6? Interesting.
Audi introduced a unified tail light in 2019, 5 years ago on their first e-tron. Everybody jumped on that bandwagon after.
The interior tech is such a disappointment for me, They never finished rolling out the newer system that can be found on literally everything except the Q5, A4 And A5. Car makers are not taking their time designing cars anymore. The old cars looking really good
I miss Bauhaus styling.
Porsche Macan wins at the PPE design stakes for me. It’s less fussy, inside and out.
Audi elegance
So sad to see how boring and homogenous design is becoming, that interior looks so cheap and not Audi, not looking forward to the future of cars smh
Gauge cluster gives Buick envista

considering q6 etron shares same platform with macan ev. Porsche design is way better.
not a fan of the interior but I honestly like the exterior.
Disappointing looks to be honest. Audi is capable of designing a much better suv.
The split-headlight craze is getting stupid.
Again: S models are now the S line with more power (and 4 exhaust)
I just don’t understand why Audi Q6 e-tron is £69,700 when Audi Q8 e- tron costs £70,910…
You will understand once you see the first reviews.
The Q6 will most likely be better than the Q8 in every aspect. You have to remember that the Q8 etron was hastly build on a non electric platform and has old components. I'm not even sure if it will even have that much more space. And it has only been facelifted since 2018.
The Q6 will definitely be quicker, have more range, charge faster and be more efficient.
screens are cheap. Audi A8 D4 now that is class
Who told these brands we want big screens 😮
The Polestar looks better, also the Volvo EX30
No craftsmanship, just blend surfaces, looking all the same: This reminds me of today's modernist architecture. Soulless boxes with no regard for details or tradition. Sad development (Audi fired its design boss recently. Let's hope there is something better coming along.)
Horrible , busy and inconsistent interior like Buick, 🤮🤮
It looks so much like the Q4 😂
Here’s hoping the new design boss will be throwing out the current Audi design. This thing is awful (especially the interior).
Too fussy. Fake front intakes. TeslaY styling still wins for its honesty of function first and aero ruling the why.
Macan🤓
This is a disappointing car in my opinion. I really don't like the split headlights, they just ruin the exterior.

Looks like a nice Skoda
And Skoda is part of the VAG umbrella.
The "play" lights are make-up
🎉🎉🎉😢
hi
the rear is so goddam boring just like the etron, etron s, q8 etron & q4 etron...
bro come on This is the best ev, stop
boring.....boring.....cars shares the same philosophy to evade THE COMMERCIAL RISK.but designes now puts the ORIGINALITY and THE CREATIVITY at risk. car design departments must destroy some (clichées) that kills the joy of earning a beautiful original timeless design.
Audi has completely lost it… this looks like a Hyundai
Kind a like Hydai Kona with an Audi badge :D
Ugly but still better than bmw
That does not look like an Audi interior 🤮
💩💩💩🐸🐸🐸no
That's a Buick Encore interior lol
The interior kinda looks like the new charger.
That interior is awful how does something look like a hyundai , Chevy, and Lexus all at the same time
This is the worst Audi I have ever seen both inside and outside
Are you kidding me? Audi's are becoming ugly too? I mean, it's not horrible like some of its competitors (BMW), but It doesn't hit the same as models from 2020-2022. It doesn't look like an Audi to me.
The interior is just awful. An A3 has a nicer one
Audi go to one of the best interiors to the worst in the entire industry. They destry themselfs. Who in their right mind will buy this thing. If you can affford this and want an suv ev from germany the porsche is so so so much better
Pretty bad for Audi
Looks like a Nissan
Audi has lost its way massively. Overly fussy detailing in all their EVs. Similar to Merc, they had the opportunity and freedom to create beautiful EVs but chose this? Just so average and sometimes plain ugly.
Audi and Porsche started the taillight-trend with the current A7/ 991.2
and those harken back to the 1990s RS2 / 993 Carrera
No., Saab did it back in 2010.
AMC did it in 1970 and ther were others extremely this... lots of Lincoln stuff mkviii, mkt, Ford Escorts.. this ain't new
Interior is trash and the exterior lights are kinda cool but the rest looks like a blob of nothing. X5,X6,X7 bmw look so much nicer imo
Audi Q6....a mishmash of current Audi EV trends but not really moving the needle in any way
All the scratchy interior plastic's on this is an isn't no. Looks like I'll be moving away from the German brands if this is the new normal.
Please do a review of lucid gravity!!!
Was waiting to see your reaction of the interior, I know you often complimented Audi for doing it right.
Split/bumper headlights are worst. Even with the blackout headlights they look like blind lol
Cheaper looking version of Q8 e-tron. No thank you.
I am just not impressed. And I have gotten lost with the naming conventions e.g. Q6 Q8 Q7 ??
Odd Numbers = ICE Cars
Even Numbers = EVs
I think that the blank section you highlighted at the far right of the drivers display is some kind of psychological/visual barrier to isolate that screen from the passenger display.....or maybe not....😂
Request: if you have the option, stick to analyzing the lighter colored interior. It’s easier to see the details. I’m not sure what’s going on in that jet black interior.
Hey, can you take a look at the design of the Ineos Grenadier
Just buy a car up until 2020, mantain it and enjoy a propper quality! All of the new cars nowadays are damn stupid computers on wheels. Really sad! This makes me to appreciate the older cars with craftmanship and calssic design elements.

These U.S. regulations MUST change since they are not laws.
We never get the cool lights its always the same old thing.
So infuriating.
Audi SQ6 is not really an S Audi, is just a more powerful engine. They will make a RS Q6 that will look more sporty.
