Right? Now it’s $42k in brand new inventory for a LR, and tax credit eligible. A 300-mile premium Tesla for $35k on your driveway (without any extra local incentives) is phenomenal
Stylingwise i'm not blown away by the Q6 e-tron, but the technological stuff is yumm 👍. The comming A6 e-tron would be my fav, but too expensive for my pocket 😪.
I agree. Lovely upgrade. Whilst I admire Teslas very much, the tactile experience for me is too clinical. I love the thoughtful design of the my Polestar and feel the same about Audi’s current interiors too. But I’m sure plenty would prefer a Model Y Performance!
A fully charged battery does not mean you only have friction braking available. The motor can apply reverse torque. That will deplete some of your charge, but it would be a very unusual situation where that amounts to much. IAC the software should manage things so that you don't even notice this as an issue.
I wonder how many folks in that area of Germany that don't want the battery plant are enjoying all the benefits of EV ownership. I'll bet registration data is available.
Leasing isn't typically a good deal for the consumer but in these early days of BEV I'm open to it. Lots of changes quickly and new models appearing all the time so jumping to something else better suited in a couple years is appealing. We usually keep our cars a long time, sucking most of the value out of them over 10-14 years but something I'll keep an eye on in about 4 years when we'll probably get the next vehicle.
9:35 this is exactly yhe issue with my Enyaq. I am almost always drive in D and control my speed with my paddles (regen). and then one day I have a longer trip planned so I charge to 100% and suddenly car behaves like totally different vehicle. hate it.

We have always bought and kept for 10+ years. I am seriously considering a lease for my next car which will be an EV. We own one EV, but tech is changing so fast……
the audi Q6 maybe important for one reason.. this is the first etron that may actually sell in numbers. Q4 was absolute worst from the VAG compact crossover gen 1. Q8 was too small inside to be a true premium, and too inefficient to be a good EV. Q6 and A6 may be a true bestsellers. ofc if you ignore Q6 interior, piano black and touch sensitive buttons. The tesla prices... damn.. I wonder if we will see some promos in Octopus salary sac. because for this price.. I wouldn't wait till new gen.
So a 4-Star EuroNCAP rating due to missing buttons and everything on touchscreen. Nice 'affordable' car for the masses in the Q6 e-tron. For braking when you have 100% and want regen as you would know just need to follow Hyundai and put a top-buffer in as well so even at "100%" you can still use regen. Funny your story about BYD, seems they are building a factory in Europe, ahem Hungary as per the screenshot you had on screen. Remember Martyn...those Mexican factories could be making EV's for South and Central America and for Canada. Let's leave the US to their civil war and as they nuke each other out of existance should the orange skinned one makes it back into power, the rest of us can continue on.
Well I didnt think they could do it but Audi might catch Tesla in 5 years. Assuming Tesla doesnt make any changes. But if you are an Audi fan you will love it.
Professional Daily News delivery with Style. A joy to listen to. Thank you kindly for the work, much respect.
I can remember when the Tesla Model Y was $70,000 with no federal credit at all. It's less than half that now.

@@EVNewsDaily I'm so glad I waited to get mine, I would be pissed if I had paid 70k for it.
AND people liked it!!! Yeah yeah!! 😂😂. (Hope you get this joke from SNL)
Audi also picked passenger rear for the charge port location, like Rivian. That NACS extension cord is becoming more and more important.

love your style and info!!! Thanks so much!!!!
Nice info!
Thanks Martyn
Always a pleasure!
The Q6 AWD is the one to upgrade my Polestar 2 to. Will put a reservation for when available in US.

Love those emoji! 😍
is the water contaminated with something after use ? Or can it go back into the river?
28:20 If you want a new one, lease. If you want to keep it long term, buy used.
I think if Audi wanted to take their Q6 into the future, maybe they should have added VTL, VTH or even VTX. Sadly not.
My wife said as long as US was getting Jewel motors she was all in
