I find that eating just 2/3 pieces of different FRESH fruit first thing in the morning & drinking 500 ml warm BOILED water with one tsp of fresh lemon juice, certainly helps to clean out the system. Around lunch time, a smoothie or salad with RAW vegies, table celery, chunk cucumber, 1/4 avocado, parsley, fresh orange chunks. (Maybe tomato now & then) With a 2/3 tablespoons of full cream plain yogurt. Helped me to loose weight without much effort . Sometimes in summer, its only these two meals. Winter , i make lots of thick vegie soups. Lots of water or Rooibos tea, no coffee, no alcohol. no fizzy drinks. Fruit juice as a treat, now & then . Life can become boring otherwise.

Next week will be the 50th anniversary of my kidney transplant from my mother. My kidney is almost 108 years old - the oldest successfully transplanted kidney in the world, although it was transplanted when my mother was 57. I led a totally normal life and worked until I was 68. There is hope, even if you have kidney failure.

Feels like covid encouraged a lot of those. I was in the emergency department and was like 12 paramedics standing around. Very odd. All waiting to have their patients seen by a doctor. One of them 35 male, sneezed in his hand then continued playing with phone, didn't wipe hand....and at least 4 other paramedics saw this and said nothing, this was last week!! I see it all the time. Such a simple thing to prevent spread and still don't do it. Covid wasn't about the virus.

It is interesting all the above do's and don'ts apply to health and longevity in general as well as specifically to kidney disease sufferers. Take home message is we need to follow those points regradless of whether we have a genetic predisposition to kidney disease.

The sad thing is that high blood pressure medications and diabetes medications also can cause kidney failure. A dear relative of mine recently had a kidney transplant due to high blood pressure and blood pressure medication taken daily for 30+ years from about age 40 wreaking havoc on the kidneys.

Thank you for this video, I have really changed my diet since October of 2022. Doctor said I was pre-diabetic so immediately stopped process food and started eating as healthy as possible. My kidneys seem a lot better too. We need every bit of information to help us help ourselves as we can get. But ultimately we need a new environment that is healthy. Fortunately my hope in God's word provides answers to all of mankind's problems for the future. I feel so privileged to know all these illnesses that plague us now are only temporary. These wicked days we live in is as bad or worse than the days of Noah. God actually regretted making man. I was stage 3 for 20 years and then ESRD stage 5 13 years ago. I was on all kinds of dialysis for 10 years because I was "low priority" for a transplant due to young age. During the last 6 months of hemo, it wasn't able to clean my blood because the effectiveness wanes over time. I was getting critical and then received a donor kidney for transplant 3 years ago. My journey was unbelievably difficult and I almost died (peritonitis and then hyperkalemia). The thing is, it is a very lonely ordeal but you have to stay strong, annoying and tenacious. Don't go gently into that good night.

Hello. I think something very important wasn't mentioned. 21 years ago at age 39, I was heading into ESRD. Before dialysis was initiated, I began having difficult conversations with family and friends about kidney donation. I was fortunate and blessed to have a dear friend donate a kidney in May, 2003. Now 20 years later, I'm having those conversations again. My transplant is beginning to wind down it's useful course. I'm praying that someone close to me is a good match. 2 of my adult children are eager to donate. We'll see what happens. Otherwise, everything described here is excellent, useful advise. I follow about 90% of the lifestyle she discusses. My vice is Bourbon Whiskey, but I keep that pleasure in check, and consume with caution. Also, I enjoy a low sugar creamer in my daily coffee. Otherwise, giving up meat and salt was easy. I've never been a smoker, and have always been a dedicated exerciser. Tylenol is the only medicine I would ever use for pain, other than post surgical procedure on my spine. Watch your creatinine levels, and have the conversations about donation. Take good care folks.

@Besokool Do you have access to the following:
Cucumbers, Celery and a good single auger or twin gear juicer.
If the juicer is not available, get a blender and a colander.
The cucumber (90-95% water) and celery (ionized sodium) will regulate your body’s pH and also provide needed electrolytes.
You may also use lemon jc preferably from a real lemon and a a small amount of real ginger root.
This was taught to students at the Hippocrates Health Institute in Fl.
      Cellular hydration is the key.

Go vegan. Preferably raw vegan immediately. Consuming animal products causes clogged arteries from animal fat and protein building up in the arteries over time. By age 40-50 is when symptoms of clogged arteries (arteriosclerosis) begin. I was a caregiver to parents and my grandmother for 17 years. I know what can and will happen once high blood pressure occurs and it is treated with various medications because of what I witnessed happen to my relatives. I’m 62 and vegan for 7 years. Switched to raw vegan high fruit to control my blood pressure without medication. I have perfect blood work and take no medications.

This video is informative but leaves out important information about HYPERTENSION and HIGH BLOOD Pressure.
      Here is my story ...
I had inflamed swelling painful kidneys 6 years along with bubbling urine and proteinura I could easily see. Very difficult to sleep to boot. All the hundreds of internet sites on kidneys told me I had infection so I tried treating what I thought was an infection in various ways. With little success I ordered a test for infection on line. It turned out I had no infection. I was not happy with the lack of information online.
So I was stumped. I listened to a doctor who is partially into natural methods. She said pointed out what people with kidney disease die of was heart attack. I started to put two and two together and figured out it was really HEART DISEASE. It turned out I had kidney failure going on. I did not run to a doctor either. I am a DIY who uses natural methods. I avoid doctors because they recommend bad solutions to these problems. i don't view doctors as authority figures in health. They are good for physical trauma like auto accidents.
She mentions hypertension. Well hypertension and high blood pressure is just another way of saying you have CLOGGED ARTERIES probably around your kidneys and other places. You DON'T treat high blood pressure. You unclog your arteries.
SOLUTION: I took high dosage (40mg 3Xday for at least a week) LUMBROKINASE and in a matter of 3 or 4 days, the kidney pain and swelling started to subside. The protein and bubbles in urine also subsided. If you have very mild clogging and want some preventative options then nattokinase/serrapeptase can be used.
It's probably a good idea to use some chanca piedra to clean your kidney of calcium and stones. If your prone to uric acid, maybe use something to help with that like tart cherry.
I'd also recommend vitamin C complex with proline/lysine and bioflavinoids. This will help regenerate the artery lining.
If you have blood POOLING in your feet, this is caused by the FAILING VALVES in the veins. This can be cured with DIOSMIN/HESPERIDIN. For first week or so, raise your feet to speed up the process.

I am already doing everything that you mentioned already. I never was a drinker or a smoker and I stopped adding salt to my foods and taking over the counter pain medications years ago when diagnosed with Crohn's disease. In January, I totally changed my diet to a whole food only low carb diet and in February I started exercising daily and I try to drink 4-5 bottles of plain water a day. The last time my kidney function was tested, I was in the hospital for a IBD related complication about a month ago and the function seems to stay in the mid 40s. I tried seeing a nephrologist years ago after my sister was diagnosed with ESRD, but he didn't give me any guidance or seem to even care since my kidney still function.

I want to thank you so much for your informative and down to earth approach coupled with your insightful compassion. I’m a 75-year-old male, a practicing chiropractor. I’ve had long-term idiopathic high blood pressure. I’ve never been much of a smoker, but I have been overweight, and had abused alcohol for many years. That’s been stopped! Also, I’ve dropped a lot of weight over the last five years, using a ketogenic approach. Recently, I’ve come down with increasing amounts of protein in my urine, so I’ve had to moderate my protein. Things become increasingly dicey and hard to balance as this condition progresses. According to your video, I’m doing many things correctly, which is good news. I’ll just have to find out what I need to improve on! Count me as a subscriber!

Saved it. I think this is best guide overall. I got my eGFR of 63 to 95 in 2 months. But for some reason went off wagon and started eating 3 cans of sardines a day and a large bowl of shrimp and I got gout. Which led me to eggs, dairy, milk, and breads since they have low purines. I think I got better so fast was I took blood sugars seriously and limited meat to 1 piece of chicken or 3oz salmon a day.

@@timmyhiggins5220 No. I just started to noticed spots on legs, dark areas in knee folds (Dr berg signs of kidney problems), A1C 7. Then eyelids were getting veins. A foamy urine. Had blood test and eGFR was 63. Not ckd, but high for 58 years old. I watched a video from doctor in India who said kidney disease will progress unless you cure high blood pressure and diabetes. Which led to Dr. Roy Taylor on curing diabetes by rapid weight loss. Thus I monitored sugars everyday and got blood sugars to 90 by eating wfpb low carb kidney friendly all before 3 pm. Then took blood test and eGFR was 95. But then started eating 2 cans of sardines. But the trigger was shrimp where I got gout and all diets did not matter anymore due to pain. I got bad habits eating milk, cheese, yogurt, oil that have few purines. Now I am having hard time stopping eating at 3 pm, and blood sugars are rising to 115 and the foamy urine is return and eyes starting to bother me.

I was diagnosed with Pucci Lupus. It's an autoimmune disease. My former Dr. failed to tell when I was Stage 3a. At that Stage, half my kidneys were gone. I went through all Stages until his Nurse Practitioner noticed my creatinine was 4. When the Dr. couldn't make an appointment with the kidney specialist, they told me to go to the hospital emergency dept. and I would see a nephrologist. I went to the hospital and was admitted. One Dr. told me only dialysis, Stage Five diet or a transplant would help me. If I would have come in sooner, I would have had a different diet and medications. Primary Healthcare Providers should be required to send lab works to all patients and caretakers so they can make informed health decisions. BTW, Friday I'm going to the hospital for an evaluation to be put on a Kidney Transplant List.

Sadly my hubby will not accept any interventions for very high bp so of course his kidney function will continue to deteriorate. The GP (UK) has written refuses treatment on his records. So all I can do is try to feed him healthy meals and I try to keep him from getting too tired but its not easy. I always like to be proactive and have the best health I can but not everyone thinks in the same way.

My spouse lost his leg to diabetes last year. Then we discovered he had stage 4 kidney disease. He was active in high school, but in all other things he never wanted to do much. He ate a LOT of processed meats like sub sandwiches, would eat an entire sleeve of cookies for dinner, doesn't like to be too 'active', and wants to do nothing but sit and smoke cigarettes and watch tv. He's at stage 4 and I'm watching him choose to wither away instead of being proactive. He can't even stand on his good leg any more.
