Unfortunately, home editions of Windows give users far less control than pro and enterprise editions do. However, there are ways you can download the Group policy editor even on home edition, but this has to be done correctly or it can cause damage to your system. There are many sources of information on the web that describe how to do this, at your own responsibility. If you decide to install the Group policy editor tool on your Windows 10 Home edition, here's what you can do... Instead of running the secpol.msc command, you're going to have to run the gpedit.msc command! Zero how does this not have more likes? I just slimmed my Windows 10 x64 from 14.9gigs full clean installation, down to a stripped 7.66gigs. Literally only kept the registry, bare system minimals and the update partition. No cortana, no windows help, no mse, no policy etc. Thanks man!
This didn't work in 2020 - the file added to my registry but when I restarted and then tried to uninstall bloatware, the uninstall button was still greyed out. Any suggestions/updates on this? Ps - I mostly want to uninstall Edge and of course, Cortana.

actually after a while of using windows 10 i've found that alot of programs doesn't work properly with windows 10 like some printers drivers don't work at all. and there are couple bugs that bothered me . so i had to go back to windows 8.1 with with classic start menu and few tweaks you can find them in youtube channel called tech yes city I actually find it 100 times better than windows 10.

I've tried reorganizing the registry, disabling my audio driver (some people say that that's responsible for it) and of course restarting explorer.exe over and over again but the problem persists and it sucks. I can't open the start menu, I can't enter anything into the search registry and I can't open the options. All I can do is click on the icons in the taskbar to open my programs.

No, don't encourage people to do that. Because all of your partitions will be messed up as well as your linux grub after installing windows 10 updates right after rebooting. You'll see "error :unknown file system, entering rescure mode, grub secure" screen. I experienced that after having installed Linux mint 18.2 alongside Windows 10

i changed my start menu by installing clasic shell the day i installed windows 10. It makes it look like windows 7 start menu. No ads and no issues
