Lost 56lbs 18 months ago and maintaining. I practice IF too. Also, MCT oil in my coffee is the Only way I can AVOID IF at least a few days a week. My appetite is fully under control. I have so much energy my day just gets going; not used to stopping to cook until after dark. Plan to break fast early, but I never do. Solution, fat coffee!

I've seen MCT oil softgels that have both C8 & C10 MCT oils in them. They come in 1000mg gels. How many of those should I take? I've been using it and since the beginning I've taken 1 TBS in the morning and 1 at night before I go to bed. I've gone from 224lbs (about 2 weeks ago) to 211lbs but I've also included multiple polyphenols in my diet between the 2 meals a day I've cut back to. I've suffered no ill side effects from this but we used to cook with coconut oil and it was a big part of our diet. It's making a comeback!
I discovered that I could shave with it. I use an expensive oil for shaving instead of soap foam. Wet your face with hot water. Put some MCT oil on your hand and massage it into your beard. Shave normally adding more hot water while shaving. When you are done just pat your face and rinse your razor with hot water.
If I use Mct oil straight into my scrambled eggs it will not upset my stomach almost no matter how much I put in so tats a tip! Can’t use in coffee to hard on stomach even when cooked into butter

MCT oil will not break a fast very much and only for a very short period of time. This is because MCT oil turns into ketones very fast, and the benefits of ketones are huge.

You'll need like more than twice the amount of it to get MCT pure oils worth and it won't be a good. You should still use coconut oil though

Question: I would like to use it more often, but MTC leaks out of me within hours and ruins bedding and clothing. Are there other ways to incorporate it into food, that will not leak out like that? I've just been adding to salad dressing and squirming a teaspoon here and there.😮
