are you ever doing this unilaterally for testing?

Not typically, but I can see myself doing so to help deduce if one side of the nose is more restricted than the other. If I was testing unilaterally I would teach the patient (and parent, when necessary) the test within the session and then have them test this several times in a day to determine if one side of the nose is consistently restricted compared to the other or if there is alternating asymmetrical restriction due to the expected swelling and shrinking of turbinates. These results would yield different treatment routes.

@@allsleepashley awesome! i am a myofunctional therapist and am doing both in my exams so i was curious! many of my evals are in person so it is slightly different. i monitor this and of course take other factors into consideration (suspected allergies, food sensitivities, patient report on congestion etc). Thanks again!
