    I take 4000 mg of Turmeric per day. I use it to reduce inflammation from Ankylosing Spondylitis. No side effects like the ones mentioned here but thanks for the tip.

      Dude just get turmeric root looks like little pebbles dusted in turmeric powder and have 0.5-1g and a few cracks of black pepper and have it as a tea and let it brew for 10 minutes in the tea pot. You need heat applied to it to be able to absorb the curcumin and the black pepper in the tea study’s show 2,000% increase in absorption

      @JGL841 how is this going for you taking this for ankylosing spondylitis? I recently saw a physio and they are pretty certain I have this condition too so have just ordered turmeric to try and treat it. Are you having success?

      @@jacksolomano455 Turmeric / Curcumin is not a magic bullet. I use other supplements (like Omega 3, Vitamin D3, MSM, Vitamin C) and make sure to eat an anti-inflammatory diet. Since this post, I've reduced my Turmeric to 3000 mg per day.

    Thank you I’m making my own capsules today with tumeric and black pepper it’s just too expensive to buy but making is much cheaper because I get bulk wholesale with my business so I’ll weigh them out and see how much I can get in the capsules.     MotherTree is the best Curcumin brand available. Bit costly but effective.

    I started taking it for the side effects lol..I have higher than normal ferritin and iron levels (slight iron overload), curcumin is a good iron chelator/inhibitor.

    I just started taking Curamin for my inflammation of my rotator cuff. It works. Ibuprofen, Aleve did not help. I am taking Tylenol in conjunction but maybe twice a day at the most.

    How much would be “too much”? I started taking 600 mg daily for joint pain and overall inflamation and it has helped so much. However I have anemia and don’t want it to get worse

      Same here, was taking 500mg until anemia kicked in…then I read it can be hard on the liver and kidneys…back to a clove of garlic a day for me

      Just take the pure turmeric powder. The kind at the supermarkets are typically not very potent. Frontier certified organic turmeric root is very good quality.

      I also make turmeric rice …. I’m definitely gonna try it with lemon next time :-). I have two versions. The first one is Basmati Rice with turmeric black pepper cut up garlic cut up onion sprinkle of thyme basil rosemary I also add Olive oil and a pinch of Himalayan sea salt , I put it all in the rice cooker and let it do it’s thing :-) and my second version is the same but I use coconut oil instead of olive oil ❤ Happy healing

    I eat it too, but recently became aware that it apparently has high levels of oxalates, any thoughts?

      In india almost every people use turmeric in curry which is in their main diet ..not only in curry but it is use in many dishes and most people live their their life healthy.. kidney stone is not always due to turmeric there are many other food too which cause kidney stone ...you will only get side effects if u take it raw without adding in food item ..even if you get side effects like stomach upset..i think if you take it within the limit then its fine ..if you are healthy in all aspect except chronic inflammatory pain then you shouldn't quit consuming..and after all its your choice

    According to numerous reports and studies I have read, you must eat an amount that's about the size of a car to have any effect.

      Maybe they were talking about Turmeric which only has a small amount of Curcumin in it. I took 3g of Curcumin a day and it lowered my inflammation and blood sugar significantly by my next testing 6 weeks later.

    Simple way of consuming it is add it to food or add a pinch or 2 in hot milk and drink it if you have fever, body pain or inflammation !

      @@pinkpalaka9554 - Boil the milk properly first and let it cool down a bit and then add a couple of pinchess of tumeric mix well and drink there is no better immunity fighting source than this ! it keeps your body warm during winter and helps you fight weakness! Never drink cold or unboiled tumeric milk! Make it a habit and let me know how you have improved! All the best!

    We Indians don’t eat a lot of it and we use very little turmeric- paste or powder as a spice and not a curcumin supplement.

      @@Stefan-yz5lr well 95%+ of the 1.4B population use turmeric from kashmir to Tamil Nadu, gujrat to Assam.
      None of the cuisines use too much of it, Bcz it can give u a tummy trouble and disrupt the taste of the dish. But we use turmeric in small quantities every single day.
      If u don’t know what goes into Indian cuisines, then it’s better if you donot talk about it.

    Take with fats! (Olive oil). Tumeric is fat soluble.

      With exception of relatively small group of people who experience increase sensitivity to oxalates consumption of turmeric and curcumin has huge health benefits. Oxalates sensitive people should look for other options.

    I have 0.5g turmeric root with a few cracks of black pepper as a tea each day and you bang that up to 1g and drink this before you party you will wake up feeling fresh dope video on this “the Japanese hangover cure” give it a watch
