I take 2 capsules of Magnesium Threonate at night!😁

@@DrTomBiernacki Since it reduces iron in your blood along with thinning your blood, would someone who has a H63D gene that stores to much iron and causes your blood to clot, how much tumeric would be needed to reduce your iron storage?
I am 65yrs old. I take raw Turmeric & Ginger daily. Both are helping me greatly!
Amazing! What do you feel it helps most with?
how much do you take it
I take the spice turmeric and ginger and manuka honey every morning before my coffee
Had terrible pins and needles in my legs years ago. Desperate I went to neurologist. After tests, showed nothing wrong like ms etc…. He offers a prescription to hopefully help.. then he asked how I felt about natural alternatives!? I was shocked. Told him I was totally open to trying first before going script. Took turmeric 2-3 times a day. About 3 weeks in I could tell irritation was calming down. 6 weeks completely gone. Stayed on a maintenance regiment for a few years. If I stopped for a week , it all started coming back. Finally I got to a point where I just take 1-2 times a week just to keep in my system lol. I’m forever thankful to that dr.
How much mg did you take of tumeric or curcumin?
@@onghock3771 &1/2 teaspoon in a day. With black pepper and or fat i.e olive oil fish oil milk
😅 Thank you for your comment.I've been using Turmiric ginger 🫚 And garlic. And I drink that I produce with lemon juice black pepper and I love it with no side effects.Thank you for your post and comments
I'm mid-60's. Been putting 2 grams each of turmeric and ginger powder, along with black pepper and clove powder in my morning chai tea for 5 or more years. No side effects. Does it help my arthritis ? Yes it does, when I eat healthy too.
I use 2000 mg a day for OA. I have been on this dosage for 6 years with no side effects. I am thankful we have these natural herbs that actually work!!
Same here. No side effects either.

Turmeric will stop severe allergic reactions, and for that reason I keep it in my diet.
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitus several years ago, prescribed a medication which gave me severe headaches. My South African trained Doctor suggested I try Curcumin as it is widely used for all stomach problems and inflammation. It has relieved me of both my Ulcerative Colitus problems AND my diagnosed Fibromyalgia symptoms also. One tablet each morning 1/2 hour before breakfast works wonders. I should also mention the tablet contain a little black pepper which evidently assists the effectiveness of the Curcumin itself.
God has provided us everything but we pay a lot unknowingly . glad to learn values of turmeric @45 . many thanks ! Dr

500mg of tumeric or curcumin extract?
All foods eat sparingly
I cook now for my wife and I after she received a stroke. I have been adding Cumin and Turmeric, black pepper in all meat dishes that I cook, freeze a lot, as I cook in bulk! Before my wife had a stroke, I always added these spices to my food as it cleared the arthritis in my wrist! Good to have blogs like yours which helps others out here! Well done! Take care!
Watching from the PHILIPPINES. I make a tea of turmeric, lemon, ginger, moringa, cinnamon, and apple cider vinegar. I add black pepper and have a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil before I take the tea.
Wow! Could be too many ingredients at once.
???.
I'm making one with chai tea turmeric, lemon, oregano, ginger, clove powder, acv, cinnamon, honey.
I've been taking turmeric for inflammation for the last year. It has really helped me. My middle finger was swollen and the top half of it was tipping sideways, almost in half sideways. I took turmeric, the pain from inflammation was gone in two days and I was able to gently work my finger back to straight in just a couple of weeks. It's been a blessing for arthritis pain.
Thanks for the great response! 😊❤🙏
I am happy that turmeric treatment was effective in your case.

All the best to you!
Have you also tried magnesium oil? It's itchy at first but it reduces the pain! I also spray it on my feet before bed to help me sleep!
@stacielivinthedream8510 do you find the magnesium spray dries out your skin? Salt water has a drying effect for me.
How to take turmeric powder
@Anna_Key Yes, it does dry my skin if I use it too often so I also use a lotion or cream for itchy skin if it gets bad. It depends on the brand. Some are stronger than others. I use it watered down for my cat on his hind legs for arthritis. For her I cut it in half but then I also had to bathe her weekly when she needed it. She improved on the monthly shot though so I only do that occasionally now.
I've been taking tumeric 14 years now. I have no side effects .Great for aches and pains
1. Skin Reactions - itch or scales on skin
2. Don’t take while pregnant
3. Lowers blood pressures
4. Gallbladder issues
5. Increase risk of kidney stones
6. GI issues
7. Lowers blood sugar levels
8. Various drug interactions
9. Iron deficiency- may prevent absorbing iron
10. Increase risk of bleeding
for long term use tumeric may cause side effect, yes.
Likewise short time use with too much dosage can cause great problem
Thanks
For me, lowering blood pressure is a positive effect.
THank you :)
I"ve been taking turmeric with ginger and blk. pepper mix since I broke/crushed all the bones in my wrist at age sixty. The doctor saw my arthritic hands and told me the arthritis would be worse in my wrist. I started the Turmeric and reversed my arthritis, and it never developed in my wrist. I use it on my elderly dog with exceptional results. Just hydrate, and no worries.
Thanks for sharing. What is the dosage? And what is more beneficial turmeric or curcuma?
Did you know as Asians, we mix teaspoon of turmeric in cooking rice, 3 cups.
It doesn't spoil easy. Even left out for 8 hours after cooking.
😂
@@tedtan6449All Asians do that? 🤔
@@Mystic-Seer nope... I just learned it from fellow Filipino.
Turmeric isn't much used in our " cuisine". I think most of East Indians use it a lot in their food.
I am 60 years old.i take raw ginger, turmeric, lemon grass, lemon and honey everyday no side effects, it's help for my health.
I just recently started using turmeric, probably around 1000mg a day and usually take with black pepper for better absorption. It's amazing how it almost immediately relieved achy hands and joints within my body! So far I've had no side effects you listed here, but as always I keep an eye on anything that could arise from
TUMERIC, BLACK PEPPER GINGER. SWANSON SELLS THIS MIX. ORGANIC TUMERIC COMPLEX POWDER. I PUT THIS ON AND IN ALMOST EVERYTHING.
Put those in extra virgin olive oil. Its absorbed better with that type of fat. Something for you to look up. Its what Ive been using.
Turmeric or turmeric extract? You need to check the mg of curcuminoids that you are taking. Even the extract capsules don't contain the same amount of curcuminoids. I hope no one is wasting their time just taking plain turmeric powder and adding pepper.
I use the actual root blended in my smoothies and the ground powder on my food. Like I said ever since I started using it most of my aches and pains are basically gone now. So somethings definitely working! I haven't felt this good in years!@@carlosoliveira-rc2xt
@@carlosoliveira-rc2xt whys that. Its completely rejuvenated my knees, kept inflammation down etc. Ive been buying it by the pound for years now.
I'm so glad I looked you up! Great and informative!
Interesting how Turmric internally prevents and breaks down blood clots. But externally will stop excessive bleeding immediately - hence clotting. Hmm? I love Turmeric for many many reasons. Thanks!
It is pretty impressive 😊🙏❤️
Logic suggests exposure to air is a factor.
@@TheAstroflight isnt blood blue until it hits the air and oxidises?
No it won't "stop the external bleeding". I'm all bloody after shaving and it lasts for hours even when I'm on curcumin. I do have "long covid" and take anti-cloting medicines (TIA) and also have painfull arthritis that got really bad after covid in 2020.(No vax)
@@ms-jl6dl You have to put the Turmeric on the wound itself. AND it works fast. I've used it many times with great success.
Mixing turmeric powder with black pepper in olive oil and heating up just at bit without burning or smoking the oil, should also increase it's full potential..
I have just started turmeric & curcumin & I stopped having to take ibuprofen, but I was having stomach cramps & go issues. I’ll decrease the dose. Thx for this video!

I’m stopping 750mg daily Curcumin Complex.
I ve been having stomach pains and acid reflux. It’s the only thing I changed in my diet so it has to go!
I’ll go back to just eating it.
Awesome presentation, thank you. You're spot on with #1 downside. In my case I took curcumin, krill oil, aspirin, and a prescription anti-platelet drug. That's way too much blood thinning and unsurprisingly it triggered diverticular bleeding. Solution was just to back off incrementally until the bleeding stopped. As part of the solution my cardiologist took me off the anti-platelet drug. Now I take aspirin and curcumin daily with krill oil only every other day - problem solved. Excessive blood thinning is a real danger that people need to be aware of as it creates a risk for hemorrhagic stroke.
You are amazing thank you so much 😊❤️🙏
For some of us that have had a gall bladder removed, stimulation of bile may be a good thing. I seem to have less bile…. Therefore, more bile would benefit me.

I did take too much and had massive nose bleeds. But it did wipe out the arthritis pain
Love curry powder, good way to get benefits
Great video. 👍🏾 Can you take turmeric with milk thistle since this is like a blood thinner? 🤔
I take it with milk thistle everyday for my liver.
I ate ~400 to 1,000 mg w/black pepper for ~10 yrs. After 5 yrs my fatigue & low blood cell conditions started increasing until these side effects became intolerable. 4 months ago stopped; now regaining strength
I make golden paste with organic turmeric powder, (rehydrated by cooking 1/2 Cup powder in 3 Cups water until thickened) and adding 1/3 Cup organic coconut oil and 1 Tbl fresh ground black pepper. I take a couple teaspoons twice daily along with apple cider vinegar. I have no idea what that would translate to in terms of the dose I'm getting and I wonder if its too much or too little.
What is the interaction with Eliquis taken for deep vein thrombosis?
You need to differentiate between Curcumin & tumeric when stating max daily dosages. To get too high a curcumin dose you would have to take a huge amount of tumeric powder!
I use raw tumeric mixed in warm water helps with inflammation associated with arthritis.
Amazing the informative video
Good information 😮
What you said about curcumin harming iron absorption was absolutely PRICELESS for me. My ferritin level stands at a dangerously low 43 as opposed to 250 for a very physically active male, which is par for the course given I nearly never ate beef, always chicken breast and eggs. I've been eating beef for nearly a month now. Let's see what my next blood test will reveal towards the end of this month.
Wow amazing for sure! Also chronic inflammation can be a major issue of anemia for a lot of people, something to consider
@@DrTomBiernacki Not my case. I've been cooking my own food since 2016 and it's very anti-inflammatory. I must increase my animal consumption intake a lot. My other biomarkers are great. Low ferritin and low animal fat consumption can slow down your thyroid as well as your free T-levels. I've been using a natural approach l, contrary to what my doctor wants me to do as you'd expect. "Address the symptoms and become dependent on meds so that you'll keep enriching my puppeteer and come back for more meds."
Eggs aren't a good source of iton?

Nicely said! It's amazing how our docs hardly even mention anything about the benefits of natural remedies! i was diagnosed with non alcoholic fatty liver disease about 3 years ago. Since then I've changed a few things in my diet and strted using more natural remedies to aid in repairing my liver. Since then I've had 2 check ups and my liver numbers were back in the normal range and I've never felt better! I'm convinced!@@rodrigsantsil
I have been using some Turmeric for a long time, and have no detectable bad effects. I only take a about a teaspoon of it at night
I would like to see a chart that displays the suppliments into categories of fat soluable and water soluable. Since fat soluable ones can build up in your fat cells, these are of greater concern for too high of an intake over a period of time, whereas excesses of water soluable supliments are generally flushed out daily through the kidneys, you would focus on adequate daily water intake.
Oxalate foods taken with a source of calcium makes the two substances bind in the stomach so they don’t cause kidney stones. Golden milk is a good way to take turmeric for anti-inflammatory purposes.
I've been using the golden milk for 2 months. How long does it take to begin working?
@@scottsingleton2951 Hard to know. I use it when I feel gastric symptoms; sore gallbladder/liver because I have an autoimmune condition and my medication can cause those issues. It definitely makes me feel less bloated. My urologist told me the trick of combining a calcium source with oxalate foods. For instance if you’re having a spinach salad, make sure you also have a dairy based dressing with it. Had an egg sized kidney stone removed in 2015 and do what I can to avoid another one. It was painful.
I take turmeric with ginger and moringa leaves
Same here, but I grow my own turmeric, ginger and have a moringa tree here in South Florida.
How wonderful I am in a different climate So I grow other herbs and such I also give this to My old Dog has help him So Much
Thank you 🙏 ❤
I take it every day for my knees and has been for a long time and I have no side effects. I never had that surgery yet it has been 7years.
Tumeric has helped control my uthocaria out breaks.
I eat two turmeric rhizomes daily (each the size of a finger). I thoroughly wash them and leave the skin on . This eliminates the staining mess in the kitchen. I usually eat them like a carrot stick with lunch or dinner when the meal has some fat and I add black pepper to the food. When I eat them for dinner, my sleep is noticeably better. My sense of well-being is obvious as compared to when I do not eat them daily.
Often, I make a pitcher of my daily water by blending ginger, a whole lemon, cinnamon stick, chia seeds, flax seeds, etc and dilute well and refrigerate and then drink with meals and during the day. I do not add turmeric to this drink as it stains everything.
Try it! It's clean, simple and you too will notice a big difference.
Wow great tip, I will take a look at that!
I buy the turmeric rhizomes at Asian groceries... Dragon Star Supermarket at Brooklyn Park, MN sometimes carries it.
It is so good for so many things
I agree with your comment.

I use 1600 mg with ginger, pepper and astragalus with no problem. My blood work shows increase in Red blood cells and hemoglobin. Take it for multiple Myeloma. My cancer doctor is thumbs up on taking it.
I never had a problem 😮
I heard we should cut down on anything processed food, that helps reduce pain.
Can I take teaspoon of turmeric spice just the way it is without cooking with a bit of black pepper in glass of water daily ?
Good job
Thankyou , ive always had problems with this spice . I just decided to try it again . I am discontinuing it now .
I never want to have to detoxe from oxcilits again . I sm still getting ride of the .yuk.
The supplement essentially gets rid of the oxalate that turmeric has. So for example most supplements now are 95% curcumin without the actual turmeric root..
@@DrTomBiernacki thankyou . It's not just the oxcilit , it the low blood pressure .
And other problems.
Nutrients we need basic building block nutrients and not the toxic overdosing we may do . Sorry I am venting .
You are doing with all your post the pros and cons . I got malnourished and had to school myself . Everyone wanted to put me on this spice but not do basic nutritional building .
Like b vitamins , and minerals will do the same as curcuma .ya . But do they help people do this no .
Your vids on magnesium I needed three years ago.
Now I have to watch how much I take .
It's a on going process .
Thankyou Doc .

I ben take turmeric years. Morning with black paper olives oil with apple cider vinegar work well for my heath. I have no problem. I cook with turmeric. 🙏
Is the dose recommendation for the two together or just the curcumin? My supplement says 4000 mg dry herb and 400mg curcumin. Also has 5 mg piperine.
Turmeric will not absorb properly without the black pepper, aka piperine.

What an about curcurmin vs turmeric taking statins and lisinopril or hctz . Is there a difference between curcurmin the active ingredient vs the turmeric ? Thanks
Can you get enough just using it in your food? I add to my scrambled eggs pretty much daily.
Thx 👍
Can sometimes feel a little presure from the gall bladder area, no big issue. The relief from OA is comparable NSRIs. 3000mg Turmeric with black pepper 10/1.
After several years of making a fresh turmeric and ginger tea every morning…… I started to have issues with oxalates.
was 1st used to reduce swelling in broken legs etc..
I am vegan and eat a lot of veg curries and veggie pasta sauces and always put some turmeric in my meals.
Thanks!
😊🙏❤ You are so amazing!
Just about to start drinking golden milk every night...is that safe??

I will agree take lower doses if on blood pressure medicine. We got a bottle at Wal-Mart 1500 mg, said take 2 a day, so 3000mg a day. About two and a half weeks later I started getting dizzy spells at work really bad. We couldn't figure it out until it hit me one evening at home. Took my blood pressure and it was dropping really low, also checked my blood sugar that was ok. So quite taking turmeric for about a week, dizzy spells went away, but aches came back. So cut back to 500 to 1500 mg and that is working out well.
You should know theirs comes from China it has a bad yellow dye in it ... Don't take that get a better Turmeric .Look it up.😊
Wow great tip ❤️🙏😊
400 mg has worked fine for me for years. More expensive 1000 mg brand doesn't seem to improve anything. Its a great anti inflammatory. Diarrhea can be a side effect .
Thank you, I was taking Blood Pressure medicine. Also, actually 2 start eating proper foods. One Blood Pressure pills been removed completely and now I'm only on a 1/2 dose of what the other pill I joke and I am thankful of. What tomb Rick wrote ginger garlic. It's been a great help. Thanks for your comment
