- Today we share our Bangkok monthly budget. We spend the month of December in Bangkok, Thailand and we went a little over what we usually spend but still managed to stay under our budget of $4000 a month. Bangkok is one of our favorite cities to visit in early retirement while we do full time travel.

I love love love that you not only do not talk over one another but also that your presentations are equally divided. That's the secret to a long-term marriage and successful TH-cam channel. Bravo!
Wow, that is an incredible view from the apartment window! Sincerely amazing. (I have visited Thailand several times so I enjoy checking the skyline for areas that I am familiar with.)
It's been our favorite one, great area
Looking at your videos I really feel like I can actually do this it's not something that's unreachable or impossible❤
Thanks, it's very doable!
Absolutely phenomenal. No wonder you all look so happy. Great info.
Thanks so much!
OMG!! You both are such an inspiration! I saw this video, showed it to hubby and now we are heading to Bangkok!!!!
Lol! Surprisingly, Marimeko is from Finland. I thought they were from Japan too. 😂
Awesome inspiring video. Love hearing about the finances of your travel. Also, enjoyed the Airbnb tour. We appreciate you both!! Thank you!! 😁👍🏼
Been traveling full time similar to you guys since 2019. Just found your channels. Loving the content.
Awesome! Thank you!
Love your birthday shoes ❤
Thanks!
Very nice thank you for sharing
Always a pleasure, thank you.
Thanks!
Thanks especially for the tour!
Our pleasure!
Glad to see you again. Hope both of you had super birthdays and a nice Christmas.
Thank you! You too!
That was incredible full circle. Budgeting eliminates so much money waste and you explained that perfectly.
Awesome job to both of you...... now go get on that next cruise ship.... 🙂👍
Thanks so much! We are scoping them out this month!
thats a nice room, spacious, updated and clean. that was well under $4k
We thought we might have gone over because it felt expensive but wasn't
Happy Belated Birthdays🎉🎉🎉! Love the sneaks!
Thank you! 🤗
Yay, so glad to see you pop up on today’s feed! You’re always such a joy to watch. Happy New Year! (also interested in link to this Airbnb when you have the time) (cute sneakers ❤)
Thanks! We added it now!
May I ask how you occupy yourselves during the day? I don't see any costs for other entertainment such as sightseeing, entrance fees, days out etc. Do you just stay at home and work on your channels etc for the most part?
Thanks for all the great info! My wife and I are planing on being in Bangkok for a few weeks in January 2025. I have the IHG card in by the time we get there I will be diamond status. What Hotels would you recommend to take full advantage of lounge access but also being near most things. We plan on booking 20 nights which will give us 5 free.
Happy 2024! 🍾 Thanks for sharing all the great information about your stay in Thailand. The AirBnB link seems to be broken though . Please repost. Thanks. 💛
Thanks! We just checked it, it is working.
The views are amazing! Can't believe how inexpensive Thailand is! Enjoyed seeing the cost as always!
Yes, really amazing! Thanks!
Marimekko is a Finnish brand. The sneakers sound gorgeous!
She is loving them!
May I ask who you use for your medical insurance and what policy you have? We are about the same age as you and have an ex-pats international policy which excludes USA and Canada, but we still pay more than twice your number.
Thank you for sharing your insights and tips. I traveled to Thailand, Japan and China 20 years ago and at that time it was extremely difficult to locate clothing to fit a US women's size 10 blouse or a basic medium in any clothing for a 5'9" 150lbs female. Do shops and retail businesses now carry wester sized clothing given the expat population?
You can find clothes now
Do you offer any type of consulting services? I am wanting to travel full-time, but I would love to have a 1-hour Zoom call to discuss the particulars of my situation to get your thoughts. :)
The facilities at the building look lovely. Did you end up using them often? Did you see other people using them? (the pools, lounge areas, etc.)
Yes, they are great. We don't usually see many others.
Great video, thank you, stay safe and enjoy 👍 I can’t see the link for the Air BNB ?
Thank you, we just added it
Thank you
Lovely condo. You were given an amazing price for that. Clicking on that link it seems now they are looking for 1860.00 per month. I am traveling this winter and am in BKK now but leaving next week and will be back mid March? I may try to rent a condo/apt on the river!
It's a great area. We rented it almost a year before we got there, so it was pretty low. It still looks like November is open for $1,460 though.
Look8ng for the link to the Airbnb but cant seem to find it
Great condo! And only $1,000, that's awesome. I've never been to Thailand but considering staying for 30-60 days this year in April, May. But I'm concerned about the heat...lol. (I live in Atlanta) Have you been there during that time? If so how was it? Also, if you can leave a link for the condo that would be awesome.
Haven’t been to Thailand yet, but as a Tennessean I feel like if I can survive summer visits to Atlanta, southern Mississippi and New Orleans, i can handle anything! 😂
We added the link now, it is hot like Atlanta, maybe hotter, but everything is better air conditioned.
Wonderful! Thank you. @@GroundedLifeFinances
I’m an American expat living in the Philippines, I’m very interested in visiting Thailand. My biggest concern is the language barrier, can you comment on your experience with that?
Yes, pretty much everything is in English and Thai in Bangkok, we've had no trouble with a language barrier. English is widely spoken in the service industry.
Thanks so much for the quick response!
What was the hazard tape around the first pool all about?
They were making a repair to something on that day, so it was temporarily closed
We are visiting Thailand for 60 days during Jan-Mar 2024. Just recently learned short term rentals (Air BnB) are legally limited to 30+ days. I understand that this Bangkok rental was a month, but have you done other Air BnB rentals in Thailand for less than a month? How was your experience with that? What are the risks?
We only do over a month
Go Red Wings!
So close this year!
What is the name of BTS station near this apartment ?
BTS Surasek
@@GroundedLifeFinances so that why you can saw new year firework at Icon Siam Mall. Only 1 station to Saphan Thaksin BTS and use free boat from Sathorn Pier.
What”s the deal with luxurious dwellings but wall mart sized fridges in these penthouses..all the apparts featured on you tube have these ridiculous fridges…😅
You look like Seth Rogen !
I don’t know if I would be able to live on that high of floor.
