Nice job again. Yes, Forte’s video is good for stereo setup and EQ. Logic on at lowest setting and base at 1-2 IMO will clean up the sound at higher volumes. Some music sources sound better when using fader 1 notch towards the rear as it reduces a bit of treble spike, again depending on the users preference. Lower volumes yep, crank the base. Pano view is excellent, I need to turn up the PDC audio warning and sensitivity settings. The 2024 X’s are awesome, the X5 is a perfect blend of sport and luxury for us. You guys nailed it!

I'll pin this comment in case other folks want more clarification or further advice regarding the stereo setup. Agreed on account of your last few statements - BMW has done a great job with the latest X5 and X7!

I just purchased the BMW X6 and find your videos to be extremely informative and helpful. The technology is so plentiful that unless used immediately or frequently seems to become lost in the shuffle, and consequently, important features such as the braking feature for obstacles behind the car are overlooked. Thank you for these well organized and professionally performed videos.

Thanks for posting. Is there a way to have panoramic view as a default when shifting to reverse? Or perhaps I can make it a shortcut as well as the front view when at an intersection.
Great video, thanks for the tips! Do you know any way to review or edit the list of Artists or Songs you’ve previously enabled with the SXM Notify trick you demo’d at 14:46? Also any way to have the system play a tone or ding rather than just the text on screen when one of these tracks or artists plays?
You're welcome! Glad you found the video helpful. The only management available for the SXM notify feature is to turn the notifications on or off (under the notifications menu in system settings). Beyond that, there is no way to review or edit the list of songs and artists that you have notifications enabled for. Text on screen is the only notification style available as well, no audio notification is available.
I just got my X5 2 weeks ago, I love it, very helpful video btw. I have one question and that is how do I use my earbuds to talk on the phone and still have my radio playing in the vehicle while I'm on a call with the earbuds on?

I recommend against turning auto brake on when backing up especially if u live in a populated area. Makes it very hard to get out of a parking spot if there are cars constantly moving behind and u need to be a little forceful to get out.
Fair enough, it may not be suitable for everyone in every situation.
Good info but cinematography could be better if you cropped in on your face to make a smaller picture-in-picture and zoomed in on display and controls when adjusting so easier to see what your doing and what the buttons look like and what the text says.
Recorded driving paths are great when you have a wide drive, I frequently used it to reverse out of my previous driveway all the time. I found out the hard way they aren’t great when your drive is twisty and narrow. The proximity warnings beep constantly which is unnerving, but when it scraped my X3 along the side of the garage door opening , I was mighty pissed. I didn’t scrape it on the way in !!
Oh no! Sorry that happened. That's why I always tell people, when demo'ing the system, that you are still responsible for the car, and to keep your foot hovering over the brake in case intervention is needed. The system is there to assist, not complete the task alone 100% through. That said, this is the first I've heard of a car getting damaged while the system was active.
It happened to me as well. So I’m cautious to trust it in tight spaces.
When will you do a BMW XM video. I just bought an XM and I’m still learning about the features
We have a full walkaround of the XM on our channel, as well as many videos on iDrive 8. Those in combination should cover most of the features in the XM!
Can you personalize the BMW assist wake work per user of the car?
Yes!
At times my larger screen does not turn on, only CarPlay is available on the driver screen. Any suggestions on how to keep the screen on? I drive an X5 2024

Thanks, you're welcome! I'm not sure I really understand what sort of photo you're trying to upload? Maybe the avatar photo for the driver profile? If so, that can be done through the app. Or, if it's something to do with drive recorder, that is done through the drive recorder app in the car. Just plug in a USB stick or watch the videos from the app. Other than that, there isn't any photo upload capability that I'm aware of.

Hi, quick question: What does the climate comfort package in the X5 include?
Hi! It includes ventilated front seats, heated front and rear seats, heated front armrests and steering wheel, and 4-zone climate control.
Ventilated and heated FRONT seats are standard FWIW.
I have a 2024 X5 50e. The Recorded Path seems to lose its signal once I get fully inside the garage... I never get prompted to "Save Recording". Any ideas?
Sounds like the car isn't getting reception once fully inside the garage due to a blocked signal. Similar to why you don't get XM radio in a parking garage or tunnel. I have successfully used this feature in a garage, so your garage must just be in an unlucky spot or have thick walls. Unfortunately I don't have a solution for this, but I might recommend saving the recording at the last point at which you do have signal, then finishing the maneuver manually thereafter.
I find a handy camera view is the tow hitch.
Definitely! Not many people tow with BMWs nowadays, but for those who do it's a great thing to have. Even when not towing it can be nice to have as an extra angle for some parking situations too.

Can you give us a detail comment and explanation about the upcoming 2025 BMW X7 M60xi compared with 2024 BMW X7 M60xi.
I just disabled emergency braking when backing up after repeatedly the car slammed on the brakes when I was backing up to the garage and there was absolutely nothing there. This makes me a bit stressed using the self driving features on the freeways… what if it sees something that’s not there and slams on the brakes too
I have i drive 8 on a ‘24 X6M Competition that was spec’d without Driver Assistance Professional (it has the standard Drivers Assistance Package). Can it be upgraded to Professional through a purchase and software update after the fact?
You cannot upgrade via software update currently. Word is still out on whether this will be possible in the future.
I get the recorded feature to park. I have a wide driveway, but narrow garage - If I am not in exactly the same position on the driveway will it still work?
As long as it's approximately the same location it will work. Unless your driveway is the size of a public parking lot, you should be fine.
Can you do a similar one with idrive 7???
This video applies pretty well to iDrive 7 as well. The only thing specific to ID8 is the shortcuts and path parking. We do have a similar video with iDrive 7, though it isn't focused on the infotainment system.

I can’t seem to find the parking recording path option in my IX40 2022
It may not have the feature equipped. I don't believe it's standard on iX.
I can’t get the recorded feature to park into my home garage. It keeps failing halfway into the garage.
Interesting... I just setup a recorded path for a client's garage yesterday, both driving into and out of the garage, with no problems. Is your garage a really tight squeeze? If so, it might be too tight for the car to be comfortable doing it. If not... I'd confirm that the feature works in other areas. Knowing whether it does will allow you to isolate the cause of the issue to the car, or the area you're trying to use the feature in. If it works elsewhere... it's something the car doesn't like about your garage. If not, there could be an issue with the systems that are responsible for making that feature work.
are these all only available in idrive8 or also in idrive7
Nope, many of these will work with iDrive 7 and even older operating systems.
I keep seeing videos of people saying that id8 only has 4 shortcut buttons. But mine has 8 Shortcuts 😳
It has 8, anyone who says 4 is incorrect. ID8 only shows 4 to start, then the other 4 become available once you fill the first 4. ID8.5 shows all 8 from the get-go.
