I just made one with 200 Lt drum and large flower pot Mine I can use as a tandoor or grill oh and also I can use coal or gas or both I finish it with mud on the top
Excellent and useful video, mate. I had a good time and loved that it was short and packed with info....Now I'm off to the drawing board and in search of materials...thanks for sharing!
The firebrick are dunked in water to prevent too much water from being drawn out of the mortar before it is cured. How hot does the bottom of the barrel, where you used a chemical construction adhesive, get?
Well I couldn't find the drum in Bunnings so I bought a 60 liter drum for $10. Now I am going to build it see how it goes. Well it fidnt go well that 60 litre drum was too small. So I bought a 200 lit drum s d finished it and it works perfect. Its much bigger.
The creator doesn't mention that a lot of pottery contains lead, which causes nerve damage. Before you build and use, you should ascertain whether or not there is any lead content.
You’re perfectionist Though, you could have build better tundoor with the same brick layers you used for pottery instead. The back of brick could have been filled with simple natural dirt
Don't hold your breath about seeing it working...... Everything about the oven is fireproof except the terracotta garden pot so you can imagine what happened to it once it was fired up lol
agreed it is a bit more complicated than the flower pots type but also looks like it will last a long time. Lots of people have a lot of time on their hands doing basically nothing constructive nowadays too, right?!! ;D
I wish we could have seen it used.
You guys really uplift the spirits. Thanks guys , keep up the good work.
This is great--is there a follow up video with cooking? On the edge of my seat. I like this design, seems very well thought out & safe.

Where did he get the fire drum from?
Amazing australians are so hands on and construction driven !
I agree you should demonstrate how to use it , I felt is unfinished
Could I trouble you for the dimensions of the terra cotta pot you used, that I might search for one in the U.S.?
The grill should be below the coals so that the soot falls clear
Good but wish u had put in description for the items used

This is what I was thinking; no insulation on the bottom???
is there a video of this working?
Can you please advise where did you source the Fire Drum from and it’s specification. Thanks

Killer design and construction!
So much work to make this oven the way it's shown here. Wow!
I wonder if there is a simpler method ??
What size terracotta pot is required?
Well I couldn't find the drum in Bunnings so I bought a 60 liter drum for $10. Now I am going to build it see how it goes.

Thank you for such a great idea💡👍👌👏
Sorry we don't shop at Bunnings so we'll check another video for reference
great idea
Perfect😊

And how do we do that? I doubt the store staff would know!
@@michaelmcleary8566 If you can't do it, and they can't do it, then you do what you think is best for you.
That looks like a plain terracotta pot without a glaze, so should be fine.
@@peterlee9691 Thanks for the info; didn't know the problem was limited to glaze.
3m lead swab kit $20 from bunnings
Beautiful
I wonder if this can be made a bit smaller.
Cant find the drum anywhere.
true

How do you keep the pizza toppings from sliding off?
you could just fold it into a ball and wrap it in foil
Its a tandoor, not a pizza oven 😊
What! You didn't show actual use? Would be nice if you showed the oven in use.
Great work
Really cool
If we used all the stuff that you did, it would be cheaper to buy one.
Great 👍
He got the materials at hammer barn.
so where is ed?
Great. Regards.
V.good job
what is this drum call?
Yah, let's just have something delivered.
Very good.
Australian accent🤣💕
Background punjabi music is good
Indians season their tandoor before use by rubbing greens on the inside and a mixture of oil and yogurt. Then they gradually and slowly fire it.
Well, the first 30 seconds I was just trying to figure out what language you speak 😅
👍
Didnt show it in action?? booo.
1:23 'where our fire will be'......What the hell happened to your voice just there?
I’m pretty sure tandoori ovens are Afghan not Indian
Fuck that, there are much easier and simpler ways to achieve a tandoor.
Daniel Vitaliano
This is really cool but I prefer the other guys oven. This seems like too much work. Lazy me.
This is a bit too involved :)
It's called a Tandoor, not a tandoori oven.
2Esdras2: 31- 100
yea i'll just stick with my kamado joe jr
Don't hold your breath about seeing it working...... Everything about the oven is fireproof except the terracotta garden pot so you can imagine what happened to it once it was fired up lol
Can we not pronounce insulate this way please?
This is bs. Tandoor is an ancient thing and people made them without these fancy tools.
Looks terrible.
Wtf do you mean you can't cook because your not licensed?
Not practical
No one will attempt this
I will...
I did

shabaj100 where can we find the drum from
