The tarp! Forget about the timeline-- he's calling Ms. Smith a liar about the blue thing he walked in with and he's called Blanca a liar that he was NOT wearing the shirt with the floppy tree when she fixes his collar for him on his way out the door! She touched the shirt! He's the proven liar, not Blanca or Smith.

    • @trudimartin

He’s calling everyone a liar. He can’t say yes to anything even when we know he has to. He has to answer on his terms, using his language going all around the houses rather than just say yes!! It’s not a good look and so frustrating. Don’t know how that jury is coping. I can only watch bits at a time before his voice and the long, long answers do my head in.

So he took $50,000 of pills per week of Oxycodone?! That means would have had to choke down 450-500 pills per day while he was awake without dying or clogging his digestive tract (opioids in high doses cause intestinal blockages). That’s about 30 oxycodone per hour if you were up from 6am-10pm. Wow, possible, but he would be dead, and I love how he is now fully recovered with no relapses. Absolute BS.

His entire "testimony" is a story created to fit all the evidence. All this Pawpaw, Mags, Roro and Bus is a blatant pathetic attempt to make the jury think he's a loving husband and father. I would be insulted if I were a juror. He basically called everyone a liar that said anything that didn't fit in to his new story. He said Shelly was lying or just imagined that he showed up at 6:30 in the morning with the tarp or raincoat. His narcissism is coming through cleary. And Waters was a genius when he emphasized that Alex knew every detail of how to analyze evidence and present it to a jury. I've heard people say today went well for Alex but I watched every minute of it and I don't think so at all.

What I can't understand is why she or her date didn't just get an Uber as he claimed they wanted to do because it was too cold to be in the water for the return trip. Her date was the eldest of the group (and the one whose mom works for SLED apparently). And he supposedly 'begged Paul" twice - once to order the Uber and once for Paul to let him drive the boat. They all got in that boat knowing he had stocked it with booze. I And they got back in it. I keep asking myself, why did they feel they had to go with Paul in that boat knowing he was drunk?

I think he had help and was there when the killings happened. And this was thoroughly planned out, therefore no evidence found..no bloody clothes, weapons..Also, on the 911 call he is talking to the dispatcher and you hear his phone fumbling around at one point and then you CLEARLY can hear him say “here..” like you say when you are handing something to another person. This wasn’t brought up by the State in trial but the SLED investigator does in the August interview with AM. And someone was clearly handling Maggie’s phone around 8:53 since it recorded 59 steps, but within a few seconds AM’s suburban starts up at the house. That makes me think he had help. Which explains his apparent shock at how brutal Paul’s injury was. Regardless, this trial has been absolutely riveting and captivating.

@@queenstatedentalcare I think the reason he didn't kill Buster is because Buster is the Murdaugh legal legacy. He has to stay alive to carry on the Murdaugh legal name. Below money that's the number one thing that the Murdaugh family cares about. He told Buster in a phone call that this is his last opportunity forever to go to law school. He was pushing him into getting back in quickly. That's just what I've been thinking.

👉 After watching the Netflix special, we all now know how far Dick Harpootlian will go to cover up lies. He literally looked at the camera and boldly told everyone that Paul was 100% innocent in the boating accident, even though it was 100% clear that Paul was responsible for the death of Mallory Beach. Dick Harpootlian has ZERO credibility and he's now covering up Alexander Murdaugh's LIES! Why should anyone of us believe anything coming from the defense?! I teared up too! But my being tearful doesn't change my view point. I still think he's guilty. I don't think the jury was crying to have sympathy for him. He's speaking about an extremely tragic, gruesome, violent, and unthinkable story. It's hard to hold back tears while listening to a person that is crying. IMO it's great that a few members of the jury were seen being emotional, it shows that they are truly invested. And because they are invested they are able to see through his lies. One of the reasons that I cried is bc I couldn't believe that he could still lie about what he did to them while also acting like he was innocent.
