Absolutely LOVE these kinds of videos, doing audio and VRM testing on bottom of the barrel motherboards is awesome. On that note would it be possible to do some testing on some of MSI new MAX boards? They are updated for 3000 series out of the box but the vrms on those concerns me; just did a build with a b450 max for a friend (couldn't find anything else in stock) and the board didn't seem much better than the ones you just tested here even tho it was much more expensive...

Is that AIO cooler ? That would be highly unrealistic scenario for someone looking into something as cheap as a320. They would probably stick with stock cooler, which would help with VRM temps quite a bit..so showing such test would be probably more usefull for people looking to buy such board. Personally, if I was to buy a320 board, I would probably consider Asrock a320 pro4, good enough for even ryzen 7.

It's kinda hard to justify these, when the prices in Europe for the Gigabyte B450M S2H and DS3H are 56e and 60e respectively, and it's impossible to avoid the shipping on the Colorful. The 2 Gigabytes are just miles better in all departments.

The b450 and above are the only ones that AMD will approve for the 3100 3300x. Don't waste your time with 320's. Ryzen 3200g is a great match for the 320. Btw...2933 is perfect ram settings.

Thinking about buying a cheap micro ATX MB. I saw the MSI B450M Pro-VDH Max. What do you think? Is it a good idea? I plan to put a 4core in there at first but probably I will replace it within a year or so with a 3600 or a 2700

If you were to use a downdraft cooler instead of an AIO the vrm temps would probably end up a lot better. Most people aren't gonna slap a 240 aio on an a320 board lol.

I just bought an itx a520 board from onda that doesn't even support my Ryzen 7 3700x boost clock, nor the ram speeds it claims to (claims up to 3600 but only maxes at 2133). I should have spent the extra $40 on the next cheapest board from asrock.

So I have a USFF Hp that I got for cheap and it has a Ryzen 2400GE PRO, apperntly the pro chips are more reliable and have slightly better performance then their consumer counterparts. Though as you can imagine thats hard to test in a USFF system with no upgradability to its full potential, and I can't seem to find anything on compatability for the PRO chips anywhere. So I'm wondering if I can get it to work on a "Gaming board" for a system build, should I just put it in one that has compatibility for the regular 2400ge? I think TechYes. Will it go up in blue smoke? Only time will tell.
