I still remembered when Jayz felt stupid in building Skunkworks to have 3 Titan X SLI but they can handle 8K Video like nothing back then.
Lol, the comments, "Hey Jay, get exactly my computer build and show me exactly how to do it" lol. Overall thanks for this vid, great content as always and glad for you and your team helping explain things.
Please do a 1440p video! I've seen SO many benchmarks that show that a last gen I5/R5 is enough to easily keep up with a 2080 ti with Max settings at those resolutions
1440P for now seems to be the hardware sweetspot, where CPU and GPU if paired right can both run around 90%+ Util. But yeah, we need massive steps on the GPU front if you want to use 4K and not have the CPU yawning. 2080TI on 4K Ultra settings usually (but not even always) is around 60fps. I'm fairly sure an i5-7400 (non K) could be paired with the 2080TI instead of a 9900K and you wouldn't notice any difference in FPS. Then there is the Ryzen 3850X (16c/32t) on the horizon which probably won't even run at 10% util if you're gaming in 4K.
Slapped like. Would love to see a video on bottlenecking from different resolutions. Would also love to see a video like this but with Ryzen cpus (if possible).
Hey Jay make a video regarding balanced pc meaning the least bottleneck we get in several configuration Or how can we build a balanced pc to have less bottleneck
That would cost him so much work, and there are benchmarks for like every pair on youtube.. If you learned something from this video you should be able to find it out !
That actually depends of the game , some are Cpu oriented and others are Gpu oriented, I recommend to search in the forums(of whatever game you are playing), there usually is lot of information about others players setups and what results they are getting.
Its probably easier to do it from a value perspective. If you have spent say $600 on everything else is it value to spend $1400 on a GPU. Maybe not. I have the same question in looking for a new display. Do I really want to spend $500 plus on a panel when it may over capitilise the value of the whole package.
@@psychozulu no... No it doesn't. IPC is instructions per clock. Something that is decided by the architecture of the CPU. These have the same architecture.
How about including power usage for each test like this? how much more power will the system, being botttlenecked or overclocked, is using? maybe you can include that in future videos like this.

fx-6300 + 1060 = ~90fps
ryzen 5 3600 + 1060 = ~145fps
Now THAT is what i call a bottleneck 🤣👌
Your CPU got bottlenecked before lol.. xD
you just "all are healed" it
df how did you just get my exact gpu and cpu right that's my specs rn lol gtx 1060 and fx-6300. What's even crazier is that im literally getting a ryzen 5 3600 cpu soon this is such a crazy comment.
@El3tr0 getting 5600x instead :D
That's why for The AMD Fans back in the FX-6300 days they recommend going for like a FX-8350 or something like that if you plan on getting a beefy GPU and if you plan on getting a Titan X, you might as well pair with The Intel 8 core CPUs.
@@axeloumm search* and he was making an example XD
Please do a 1440p video! I've seen SO many benchmarks that show that a last gen I5/R5 is enough to easily keep up with a 2080 ti with Max settings at those resolutions
4k with max graphics ~ 1080ti/AMD R5 2600x cpu. Over 100 fps on average on FC5, GTA5, ROTTR, Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, and more. Look it up too
1440P for now seems to be the hardware sweetspot, where CPU and GPU if paired right can both run around 90%+ Util.
Bara Robber Baron My point exactly. I see people go for 1080 (non-ti) and 7700k for 1440p gaming. Like, seriously?

Slapped like. Would love to see a video on bottlenecking from different resolutions. Would also love to see a video like this but with Ryzen cpus (if possible).

I really felt it when he said when Fx cards where a thing and my pc still has one.

Still had a phenom at the time
Hey Jay make a video regarding balanced pc meaning the least bottleneck we get in several configuration
Or how can we build a balanced pc to have less bottleneck
The i3 and GTX 1660 combination seemed balanced. It was 63% GPU bound. Only 6 FPS less then the same gpu with an i7.
This would be an epic vid if he did. 👍

Excelent video!.
Could we see a benchmark for memory "bottleneck"?
This was awesome!
I would really like to see how other CPUs and GPUs get along while playing different games!
This is basically my experience with my 6600k paired with my 2080 in Cyberpunk, gotta wait a couple more weeks before my 5600x shows up.

Can you do a video that pairs GPUs with CPUs and what works best
yes plz
That would cost him so much work, and there are benchmarks for like every pair on youtube..
If you learned something from this video you should be able to find it out !
i5 9600k and RTX 2070 for 1440p. I built my last rig and was very meticulous.
Do I really want to spend $500 plus on a panel when it may over capitilise the value of the whole package.
how did you manage to find the only bottle on earth with no neck for that intro

I like this video a lot, provides info for the HTT debate, and some useful info on affect of cpu bottlenecking as well.
Why’d you skip over the i5? I’d like to see a value-for-money comparison in that respect if you just want a CPU for gaming. Otherwise, great vid!
just get the ryzen 5 3600/3600x way better than any i5 rn

"Bottleneck isn't that important anymore". Nivida: hold my 3090 bottlenecking even an i9
How about including power usage for each test like this? how much more power will the system, being botttlenecked or overclocked, is using?
maybe you can include that in future videos like this.
I would definitely be interested in seeing a video that comparies CPU usage at higher resolutions, specifically 4k. I use a 7700K + 1080ti. I've never bothered to overclock the CPU assuming it was more than ebought o avoid a bottleneck at 4k resolutions but I'd be curious to see results from a tester who knows his stuff.
My intel HD graphic is bottlenecking
