Great video -Thank you! I went from LVS 32 to the new LVS 34 based upon your knowledge and expertise. I will be trying it out this week. I hope Garmin gives you a allowance and that you become a Garmin Pro. You deserve it!
Hey Brian new to your channel and I'm currently binge watching all your videos. Because of your videos I saved up enough to purchase the Garmin Livescope. This video is gonna help me a lot when I setup my Livescope and I even made the transducer pole from watching your video on $30 PVC pole. Later when I save up enough I'll get this pole you got on this video. Thank you very much for making this video for us rookies lol. Mahalos again Brian stay safe out there and have a blessed day. Mahalo from Kansas. Oh I forgot to mention I live in Junction City, home of Milford Lake.
Appreciate the settings update! I agree with black emerald overloads the color. Bought Venzo Bike Repair stand, entire unit is solid steel, no more issues trolling and scanning with a pole bent backwards. 😅
Been smashing the crappie here on my home lake with livescope, fox river rods and piscifun reels that you got me hooked on. Keep up the videos awesome job.
I have an identical boat with the same console, how did you mount the left unit on the console? What ram mount did you use? Been wanting to mount another unit to my console but can't find any ram mount long enough to clear the windshield.
Ordered my boat for this spring and can’t wait to setup my Garmin 106 Sv and 943 xsv and Livescope. Your videos are both informative and interesting. I also love all the Wisconsin sports banners in the garage. Did you grow up in the land of cheese!
Great informative video. Just one question you said the depth of front transducer is about a foot down, When point perpendicular to boat does it clear your keel give it you interference on the screen? Also the same for trolling motor? Just new to Live scope...Keep up the great work it is much appreciated,,,
Nice video very informative, also its good that you admit earlier settings were wrong. We all learn that with more time on the water. I have only one question and it has to do with the depth of your transducer in front. You said it was about a foot down in the water column, so do you get some interference when you point it perpendicular to the boat? Maybe you are still clearing the keel anyway. How about the trolling motor too. If it does in either way what does it look like on the screen? Just new to live scope trying to digest the most I can...Keep up the good work it is much appreciated.....
Awesome video.. one question for you. I have a powerdrive minnkota an hooking up the transducer is a pain. So my question is do I have to have that transducer hooked up to the head unit to run my livescope or can I just run livescope with the head unit. Thanks again I'm definitely learning alot by your videos keep up the amazing work. By the id love to pick your brain about fishing in Wisconsin as me an my family travel to three lakes every year to fish for 2 weeks
Can these settings be made with the boat out of the water? Some how I got the compass turned on and couldn't get it off so I reset to factory settings. I was hoping I could do some of these settings at home
You can do pretty much everything at home. Besides calibrating the compass, I’d recommend doing that on the lake. You won’t see anything happen with the picture, but yes you can pre set your settings beforehand
Just found your videos a couple of weeks ago. Love them. Well explained and demonstrated. After watching your videos, I’ve ordered a new bow mount 93sv for the new panoptix I just ordered. Today I sent a question to the Seelite guys as far as boat description and recommendations. I have a question, if I wanted to disconnect the panoptix and the Seelite and store it in the boat for travel versus just fold it down, do you know if there is any kind of quick disconnect for the panoptix cabling like there is when you unplug your bow mount trolling motor? By the way, I love the responses you give to 2cthetruth. He obviously has too much time on his hands. Again, thanks for the excellent videos.
Happy to help! SeeLite offers a quick disconnect mount for the pole, if that’s what you are referring to. Otherwise if you’re looking to disconnect your livescope cable it will have to be done at the black box.
How are your 106sv's and 126sv linked? Do you have to use a NMEA backbone or can you run both 106sv's to your 126sv via network cable since the 126sv has two ports?
How would I run mines with the 106 and 93. I want the 106 up front with the transducer on the trolling motor. I want the 93 in the back with echomap and it needs the transducer. I can only think of adding another GT54 tranducer for the back 93sv. Do you have a better set up?
Well you’re talking about thousands of dollars difference. If money isn’t an issue then the 8610 is the Mack daddy of units. Otherwise the 126 is perfect
@@KansasAnglingExperience well it’s looking like the echomap ultra 126sv is around 2k-2500 while the gpsmap 8610xsv is only 2800. Unless there’s a different better 8610 style I’m missing. It just seems they’re about the same price wise, I know the 8610 has more pixels than the 126sv. So to me I don’t get for a few hundred more why not run the 8610? Is it not that much better and the 12” screen is way better than the 10”? I’m just confused why more people don’t run the 8610 if it’s supposed to be a lot better
Great video👍 I’m looking to move from my EchoMap Plus 73SV to a EchoMap UHD2 93 and the LVS34. But I’m not sure if I need a separate 2D/Down/Side Scan Transducer - or does the LVS34 transducer do those also? Any advice would be appreciated. Thx, Red
LVS34 will do down imaging and traditional sonar, but I wouldn’t rely on it. I would definitely get a GT54 or 56 to use for down/side/2D, and LVS34 for livescope only.
@@redaylward4527 I do all my scanning from the console, I have no need for a transducer on my trolling motor. GT56 at the transom, and livescope in the front and the back on two separate poles.
Why the tinkerbell music the entire time your talking...makes it hard to watch. You put out some good content, but the back ground shit added really downgrades the entire watch.
Thanks!

Great information. Thank you for sharing.
Dang Brian, just looked at your schedule to possibly book a trip this spring, guess I'm a little late to the party...well done sir!
Yes sir, booked until august right now. Plan a late fall trip, those November/early Dec dates are going fast as well!
thanks for the video! going to need this when I get livescope. only have the 73sv w. gt54 at the moment for my kayak.

You use a 0° mount on the pole?
Yes

What the maunt do You have for front monitor?
Stowawaymounts.com
How do you like your Miller tec battery is it doing the job for ya
They’re awesome 🤘🏻
What size jiggin rap should I use for crappie

On the GPS Map unit can you screen record to a sd card like Lowrance can or do you have to use the Active Captain app?
Active captain
How are your 106sv's and 126sv linked? Do you have to use a NMEA backbone or can you run both 106sv's to your 126sv via network cable since the 126sv has two ports?
One network cable between two, another network cable to the third. Easy 🤙🏻
Why did you go to that pole instead of the one you showed us how to build. Was there an issue with the PVC one ???
I mean it’s kind of a no brainer. Well built, solid as a rock, meant to stand the test of time.
Are you running 2 black boxes and what kind of battery setup do you run?
Yes. 100ah powers my front graphs and black box. 125ah starting battery powers my console graphs. Second black box is on a 45ah.

Just remember 93 has 1 network port, 106 has 2. That limits what you can put in the units and where.
@@KansasAnglingExperience are you saying I'm better off remove the 93 out of my boat and not using it in the back console?
Hey quick question for you do have the 8 inch or 14 inch for your sealite pole? Which one do you prefer? I have a 2022 alumncraft trophy 185
8. 14 would only be needed if mounting to the floor rather than the gunnel.
What is the best option I want Livescope and mapping more worried about Livescope tho. Is the ultra 126sv or the 8610sv
