Okay this was really good! I’ve been taking serious notes. Appreciate the default reset and walking us through each setting. Yah this was a great video! Thanks!
Got my first limit of north central MO Livescope crappie this afternoon. Haven't had that much fun in many moons. You were a big part of the purchase decision. Love the channel brother!
Edit: Bc of this video I ordered the garmin setup x2 screens and sonar. Thanks for all the hard work making this video. Helped me make a decision on ordering. Took it out today and slammed them crappie to!
awesome video. you just got another subscriber...lol. Picking up my first boat today and I know absolutely nothing about nothing about this fancy stuff.
I was all set to chide you on not showing what the lure looks like after making all those settings, and then, in the last minute, voila! You showed me what I wanted to see! LOL.....
Thank you for doing that! Will you do one about the orientation of the transducer. I have it on the starboard side of the trolling motor. I can't figure out if i have it set correctly
As always a great video! I have my lvs34 on a summit pole on the on the drive side of my boat. Forward mode when I'm looking out the cable on the trans is facing forward. Is there a setting to flip your transducer?
So this was a great video trying to learn as much as I can about live scope at some time in a video could you explain how far or where the fish are located
I just got mine installed but, didn't have the time to try it out yet, when I get out to try setting it up.I may need help with the setup of my Garmin 10. Or I wanted to buy your complete instructions to set up the livescope for me for the first time.I have a 1987 Ranger Bass Boat 18 ft with Yamaha Prov 150 HP.
Brian on the Navionics maps , thinking about upgrading to plus or vision plus. Opinion one way or the other. Been happy with the maps on my 93SV and 106. TIA
Nice, straightforward, presentation! Is there a depth that you find too shallow for forward mode? Have had good results in 10' plus fow, but last week in Green Bay struggled with the unit when going shallow.( 5-6' fow) Bottom would start tilting, and just didn't seem to mark any of the fish that we were seeing with our eyes. Then we would get too close, and fish would spook. Next time out, going to try raising the transducer to just under the water, angle it up a bit more. and back off on the power. Have you had forward mode work well up shallow, or do you switch to perspective mode? Thanks!
Definitely tougher in that >10’ range. I do like using perspective mode on the Bay when shallow on the west shore, but definitely rely heavily on forward on the east shore. Be up there in 20 days!
Can you help me understand the position of the lv 32 transducer on a pole say for foward and down mode? Is it the same for port and starboard side of boat?
Great video! Very informative. Whats your thoughts on the LS image clarity of the 8616 over some of the lower resolution units. Ive heard mixed reviews.

What version do you have in livescope? The latest is v2.74, or do you think the previous ones are better? In a previous video from 1 year ago it seems to look better
Hey Brian, question for you. I have 2 distinct arches in my viewing window along the whole water column and into the lakebed almost constantly. (not the straight lines like the video) I have played with my settings quite a bit with no luck. Seems to be where the different sonars meet though. Also the range that I get even in crystal clear water seems to only really be out to about 35' give or take. Any suggestions? Appreciate your videos.
I'm using the LVS34 and notice the fish getting nervous in 5-20 ft deep when the sonar hits them. Tried turning down the sonar but didn't help. Any ideas?
You can definitely run it in simulator mode, but not sure if it will save settings. I think it would though. Would be worth a try. Only saying that because I’ve never tried!
Already tried that. You have it also. Mabe it’s something I have to get use to. I looked back at some of my videos a few months back and the blurry area was not there.
You’ve got some of the best instructional videos on TH-cam. Thanks as always for your help.

How are you recording the livescope screen? I would love to record mine.
Through the active captain app. Screen recording is only compatible on certain GPSMap units.
The model currently in use is the GAMIN ECHO MAP Ultra 122sv. Can I learn how to save the Garmin Livescope video on my computer?
You can only screen record with GPSMap units.

Rookie question. Is livescope and panoptix the same thing?
Livescope, and Livescope plus are generational iterations of panoptix.
On forward mode. How far do you try to stay in when crappie fishing? What is to far out ?
Just depends on if you’re pitching to them or going vertical. I like 40 ft pitching and 20-25 ft vertical

Yes sir, I run the same settings on my rear Livescope unit that is a 32
