If anyone has questions regarding settings, etc, please drop a comment below! And also, if anyone is wondering, the “pulsing” you see on my graphs are just due to the high shutter speed of my camera. That’s my bad for not lowering it to prevent the pulsing effect. No issue with my units!

I have the garmin echo uhd 73sv with the gt54 Transducer and love it. Bass pro has the 93sv with gt54 Transducer on sale for 30% off so $699. The 93sv with the gt56 is $1100. Is the gt56 really that much better than the gt54 that it would warrant the extra price? I'm about to pull the trigger on one so curious what you think since you have both.

We have a 75 sv with a gt52hw and when I try to change the frequency for clear vu vs side vu I have options for 455 or 800 but I can’t seem to set them separately. Is it the equipment or the operator? Thank you !

Nice rig. Agreed with your comment about ease of navigating menus and settings vs the birds. I'm new to Garmin (Santa was good to me this year), been a Humminbird guy for over 25 years. I just ran through the screens and settings for the first time on my new Echomap and was impressed with how easy and quick it was. Definitely less clunky. Trying it out tomorrow for the first time. Should be fun.

You can leave the magnify zoom function toggled on in the menu and pinch it open and closed by touching two fingers to the screen.

In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens th-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

I brought the GPSMAPS for my sail boat. I also brought the sail pack which has the all in one transducer. This means my current ray marine setup which I'm removing ill have a spare thru hole fitting. Would you recommend a fish finder transducer? I have a spare £400. I don't really wanna spend any more Panoptix is over £1000. My question is how far in front does the fish finder go? I want to do a bit of fishing but think it may help for anchoring and going into a port. I cruise in the Bristol channel which has the second largest tidal range in the world so depth changes a lot it's about 40ft tidal range in 12 hours....give or take

Echomap ultra 122sv and Echomap ultra 102 sv with GT56UHD-TM Transducer with Force trolling motor with built in transducer / when doing the settings on forward facing i am having an issue trying to stitch the bottom layers together using the focus settings . Seems like no matter what settings i use it just wont stitch together good enough and gives the stairstep effect . Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this or suggested settings i could try .

Excellent educational vid! I switched from 40 yrs of Lowrance units to Garmin last yr and Im very pleased. I have one question because I see your side scan image has the same look of 3-4' of surface clutter just to the left side of center. I'm assuming this is because I have my 56 ducer mounted a few inches to the right of centerline on my Champion bass boat. Is the ducer picking up the "wash" so to speak from the center of my boat as I am idling and displaying it as surface clutter? I don't have room between the transom and motor, since the 56 is so long, to move it directly to the centerline of my boat. Thanks and have a great Christmas!

Just at the beginning of hunting season my boat got broke into and everything stolen. No electronics installed yet, new 2021 Ranger RT178. Got all of my tackle, rods/reels, etc... I probably should not have got the Garmin Livescope black friday deal but too hard to resist. Now trying to get my rods/reels and tackle situation in check by ice off. Playing with the Livescope and dialing it in will help keep my mind off that and still waiting for safe ice. Going to rig up my Livescope for ice and play with the settings you've shown us. Thanks!

I noticed that from your partnership with Garmin that you went from the 126sv ultra in the front part of the boat and now to now the 106sv ultra. Did the bigger 126sv unit get of the way of fishing? The reason, I am asking you is because I have 2-93sv networked to the Livescope and GT56 transducer. I am considering getting an ultra unit for either the front or the center console of my boat. I have a 16’ center console Gheenoe LT-25 boat. What do you recommend? The 106sv or the 126sv? I can’t decide on which to pull the trigger? Please advise. Thank you.

As I explained in the video, I wanted more screen real estate at the console for graphing purposes. I always recommend putting the biggest screen you can afford at the console for that reason.

Running an 18 foot Wareagle on the Mississippi River out of Cape Girardeau. With that muddy water what transducer would you suggest for a transom mount? Looking to replace my Echomap Plus 73 with an Ultra. Will need to raise it if I go with 10-12” unit.

What adjustments do you make on your settings for livescope when you go from stained to muddy water?

I am wondering about best location for transducer. I have twin outdrives and trim tabs. Will tab position and wash from props affect signal to dash unit?

Only as it pertains to side imaging. They will need to clear the lowers and tabs

I have a question for you I just bought a 126 with live scope and marine repair center in Springfield installed it did a great job but I have a minnkota 101 fortex trolling motor and the transducer is mounted on the bottom of the trolling motor and I’m getting a lot of interference with down and side scan any ideas on what to do

Likely because the power wire is touching the transducer wire. They need to be separated.

Weird question. At 11:23 you call out a school of fish 30'-40' off the side of the boat. But the water column (black) is about 18'' so isn't the school 12'-22' off the starboard side?

Do the LiveScope and EchoMap share waypoints?

Hey bro great videos. I have the 73sv on the console but want to add one to the bow just for depth mainly did you say you can daisy chain them and I don't need another whole 73sv for the bow just want the basics. What garmin do you recommend to pair with my 73sv?

Does the seal lite pole travel well? I trailer the boat a good bit. Wondering if it needs to be removed or does it lock down for travel.

Yeah, it stows amazingly. Here’s the video I did when I first got it that shows how it stows and deploys:

Great info. I need some advise. I have 2 of the non UHD 93sv echomap plus units. I want to get another unit and live scope. I wanted to get a 106 ultra and put it at the console and put the livescope with my non UHD 93sv. Do U think that’s a good idea? I do a lot of side and down scanning for offshore bass. My current unit is not that great with the cv52 transducer. Is the new 93sv UHD echomap with a gt56 comparable to the 106 ultra. There’s a $1000 difference. Is it worth it in your opinion? I am on a budget so the 126 is out of the picture for me. The 106 ultra is at the top of my budget and only 1in bigger. Should I save that $1000 or go with the ultra. I really am wanting a good side scan and down vue unit but on a budget. Will I be happy with the new 93sv echomap gt56 in your opinion? Thanks

Hi, i have a question, something i have a problem with is, when in live scope mode, you know the range and depth, but how do you know the bearing of the target. Thanks in advance.
