Great video. I have a question for you: I'm not a tournament angler but I do fish a lot. I currently have a 93sv on my dash and a Helix 7 on my bow. I'm looking to purchase another Garmin unit for the bow so I can have them "linked up" for sharing waypoint information, etc. BPS is selling the 93sv at $699 and the 106 for $999. I know the 106 has 2 ports for adding Livescope in the future. Someone that doesn't fish is it justifiable in spending the extra money for the 106? It appears that many guys are adding Livefoot along with their Livescope transducer meaning even more money. Qestion: Is the Livefoot a neccessity for Livescope? Reason I'm asking is because I'm not one to go crazy with a lot of technology on my boat. Thanks for your help.
I'm installing the Ultra 106SV with Livescope on both mine and my dad's boat. Are you running both the graph and black box off of just the one Dewalt battery and if so, approximately how many hours are you getting on a battery charge? I've purchased a 20V 10ah battery and 2 spare 20V 5 ah batteries to carry onboard.

I noticed that from your partnership with Garmin that you went from the 126sv ultra in the front part of the boat and now to now the 106sv ultra. Did the bigger 126sv unit get of the way of fishing? The reason, I am asking you is because I have 2-93sv networked to the Livescope and GT56 transducer. I am considering getting an ultra unit for either the front or the center console of my boat. I have a 16’ center console Gheenoe LT-25 boat. What do you recommend? The 106sv or the 126sv? I can’t decide on which to pull the trigger? Please advise. Thank you.
As I explained in the video, I wanted more screen real estate at the console for graphing purposes. I always recommend putting the biggest screen you can afford at the console for that reason.
Hi, i have a question, something i have a problem with is, when in live scope mode, you know the range and depth, but how do you know the bearing of the target. Thanks in advance.
The Seefish pole looks really well designed and sturdy. Almost too sturdy. What if you hit a stump? Is there a spring adjust or some give built in? Your 20$ rig with the ram mount would give some . We have LOTS of impossible to see stumps!
Excellent educational vid! I switched from 40 yrs of Lowrance units to Garmin last yr and Im very pleased. I have one question because I see your side scan image has the same look of 3-4' of surface clutter just to the left side of center. I'm assuming this is because I have my 56 ducer mounted a few inches to the right of centerline on my Champion bass boat. Is the ducer picking up the "wash" so to speak from the center of my boat as I am idling and displaying it as surface clutter? I don't have room between the transom and motor, since the 56 is so long, to move it directly to the centerline of my boat. Thanks and have a great Christmas!
I have a question for you I just bought a 126 with live scope and marine repair center in Springfield installed it did a great job but I have a minnkota 101 fortex trolling motor and the transducer is mounted on the bottom of the trolling motor and I’m getting a lot of interference with down and side scan any ideas on what to do
Great video! I do have a question; I'm trying to make up my mind on the Garmin Ultra 122sv or the 126sv to use with the Garmin Ghost trolling motor, other than they're the same price w/56 transducer what other reason did you go w/126sv?
When jigging with your livescope, can you see a delay? Just got mine hooked up and used it a bit today and there is a clear delay. Not sure if there is supposed to be or not, i thought the unit was pretty clean with no delay but🤷🏼♂️
@@Jessejames007-p5s when the scroll speed it set to auto it means it’s auto recognizing your boat speed. When you’re stopped, the image returns will be distorted unless the fish themselves are moving. Best to take that setting off of auto and set it to the 5-7 range manually.
Have a question on settings. I'm running 2- 106sv. 1 on consol and 1 on bow. I have gt 56 on stern and gt54 on trolling motor. Was wondering how I view the trolling motor transducer on the consol 106sv. I know switch it in settings but not sure how. Thanks.

Whichever way your transducer is pointing.
Can you please share with me the make of your live scope pole //mount. I am based in the UK and really need one of those. Thanks in advance. Tony
SeeLite. All of the information including my discount code is listed in the description.
how many transducers are you using and are there ways to switch units re: same transducers? Saw a Garmin 73SV UHD with GT56 transducer on sale,
I wouldn’t recommend using livescope on any screen under 9”.
The Seefish pole looks really well designed and sturdy. Almost too sturdy. What if you hit a stump? Is there a spring adjust or some give built in? Your 20$ rig with the ram mount would give some . We have LOTS of impossible to see stumps!
I don’t fish stumps very often, but when I do, I’m just very careful. There is some give, because shit just does happen.
Yes, it’s just the prop wash. You can trim up some to get rid of a little but it’s not a huge issue
Excellent, just such a great review, thanks!
You are very welcome
Best video I’ve seen yet! Thank you
First time watching. Great video. Answered all my questions
I have a question for you I just bought a 126 with live scope and marine repair center in Springfield installed it did a great job but I have a minnkota 101 fortex trolling motor and the transducer is mounted on the bottom of the trolling motor and I’m getting a lot of interference with down and side scan any ideas on what to do
Likely because the power wire is touching the transducer wire. They need to be separated.
Great video! I do have a question; I'm trying to make up my mind on the Garmin Ultra 122sv or the 126sv to use with the Garmin Ghost trolling motor, other than they're the same price w/56 transducer what other reason did you go w/126sv?
The only difference is maps. I always want maps no matter what.
When jigging with your livescope, can you see a delay? Just got mine hooked up and used it a bit today and there is a clear delay. Not sure if there is supposed to be or not, i thought the unit was pretty clean with no delay but🤷🏼♂️
No delay. Usually it means you’re running low voltage.
@@KansasAnglingExperience how many volts should it be getting?
@@WiscoAngling no less than 12.4
@@KansasAnglingExperience sounds good thanks man, may have to do that drill battery hook up you did in that video🤷🏼♂️
@@WiscoAngling I use a larger more efficient lithium battery now but the drill batteries work great on a budget.
I’ve been having issues with my Garmin 94v… it stops registering fish when boat stops moving… any idea why that happens?
Take the scroll speed off of auto and set it to 6
@@KansasAnglingExperience okay I will try that, thanks!
Thanks.
You have to change the Source in the Sonar Settings.
@@KansasAnglingExperience thanks
Video definitely has this diehard Humminbird owner thinking about making the switch to Garmin. Excellent video content bud!
Mega Live can’t touch Livescope!
That’s what I’ve been debating lately. Either to add another Solix and Mega Live to my setup, or make the switch to Garmin now and avoid the disappointment. 😂
@@dougscott7342 do yourself a favor and avoid major disappointment 😁
exactly what I needed to hear sir👌 I was contemplating on getting a 12-inch in the front😮👍 I am definitely saving this as one of my favorite videos for a Great Garmin tutorial😮👌😁
Thanks bud
I am running my livescope on a 93 uhd sv is there a scroll speed setting when using live scope ? Thanks
Not on Livescope
Just received my Livescope and GPSmap 1022 over Christmas, can't wait to get in on the boat. Have heard different ideas about using Dewalt tool-like batteries as a power sourse, wha tare your thoughts? Excellent video thanks for doing it.
It’s what I use and it works great. There is a video on my channel on how I did it.
You are a great help with your videos
Took mine out today for the first time I had a issue, it just kept readjusting to auto distance and I tried changing it, but it always would readjust like it was on some auto settings
On livescope or down/side imaging?
@@KansasAnglingExperience side view, figured it out by turning off Manuel zoom!
bought a used boat with Garmin Live Scope 93 and it keeps saying registered to another person. Did download Active Captain on my Apple phone but nothing will bluetooth. Live very close to Garmin HQ in Olathe ks. . Need some help. thanks.
You can call garmin and they will send the registered user an email asking them to unregister it. If they don’t do it within 3 days, garmin will do it for you
@@KansasAnglingExperience phone number for Garmin that puts me into Live Scope folks . I live 2 miles from Garmin HQ in Olathe ks. thanks

Does GPS auto select Lake you are fishing on or do you have to select the lakes you are on?
Yep! Always has your location. Even in your driveway
@@KansasAnglingExperience Thanks just bought one, not hooked up yet was just wondering how that part worked.
@@52klog yessir. You just turn it on and you’re good to go.
When you were showing your livescope I noted your voltage showed over 18 volts. How?
I used to power my graphs and LS using 18v dewalt drill batteries.
What do you do when you have a problem with sidescan on the 126sv mine is on the bottom of the trolling motor and when I start the trolling motor side scan becomes one color can’t tell anything about it
Sounds like an interference provlem
Where are you bought the livescope mount for the boat, i can’t find

Echo map how do you reset fishing charts I moved and lost my maps
Are you still running the 20volt battery? Should I run a voltage reducer for my 93svuhd?
Only if you plan to power the unit ONLY. My power is split between the black box and my 106 in the front.
Dude you have the best video on u tube ready enjoy them very helpful
Thank you!
Great video, thank you. Merry Christmas
Are these settings a good starting point on the 93sv?
Nevermind I just heard you say on the video u can do the exact same thing lol!!!!!
Good video! Don't forget to that you can zoom with 2 fingers - just pinch and spread them.
Haha. Thanks. But you should watch some other videos on the channel before giving me tips I already know about. 😉
@@KansasAnglingExperience Ha ha. Obviously every teacher knows about pinch and zoom but it's about teaching others. Otherwise, you video would have been the perfect "COMPLETE GARMIN ECHOMAP Tutorial." I thought you would be interested in a suggestion for improvement. Maybe not.
I wish Garmin would cone up with a remote to adjust the forward range on the livescope. That is the only thing I adjust while fishing an area
Awesome quick electronics tutorial!
what is your opinion of the LiveScope System Thru-Hull Mount i have a 48' sea ray i want to mount it on
Can’t speak to any sort of thru hull situation bud. Don’t see why it wouldn’t work just as well given your rig!
@@KansasAnglingExperience thanks
Are u running livescope on it own battery? If what size? Maybe do a video on that.
Already have one……th-cam.com/video/7a_IeO_TgG4/w-d-xo.html
Just purchased a Black Friday Garmin Ultra with a 10” screen 54 transducer. Will definitely use these settings. Hope to fish with you sometime. Live in Winfield.
I also purchased one today also. Thanks
Great content, and keep it coming!
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! 🎊
Thanks, you too!
Hey bro great videos. I have the 73sv on the console but want to add one to the bow just for depth mainly did you say you can daisy chain them and I don't need another whole 73sv for the bow just want the basics. What garmin do you recommend to pair with my 73sv?
Bigger the better, whatever you can afford
@@KansasAnglingExperience so any of the Garmin Echomaps will work even the smaller ones?
Do you know how to set the frequency cone on the screen? Thank you
I don’t. Not sure that’s an option?

great vid brotha! Thanks for all the help with my seelite purchase ✌️
Can you split screen the live scope and the 56 on the 106?
My transducers aren’t networked to be able to do that, but I have no need to anyway.
