Nice recipe. Guilt free snack for diabetics. Thanks for sharing. 🙏It seems mixture of seeds like sesame, sunflower, pumpkin, chia would also work along with dry coconut. What is your opinion?
Wonderful ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks 🤗
I think I may try this with monk fruit sugar instead
Monk fruit sugar is a great alternative! It's low-carb and works well for keto-friendly recipes while adding sweetness without the aftertaste that some sweeteners have. Just be sure to adjust the quantity, as monk fruit sweetener can sometimes be sweeter than regular sugar. Let me know how it turns out with the monk fruit sugar! 😊
Thanks
Instead of Stevia, can add honey too.
Yes, honey is a great natural substitute for Stevia! You can use about 2-3 tablespoons of honey in place of the Stevia in this recipe. Just keep in mind that honey is higher in natural sugars, so it's not keto-friendly if that's your goal. Otherwise, honey will add a nice flavor and natural sweetness. Enjoy!
Did you use dessicated coconut?
Yes, desiccated coconut was used in this recipe! It’s finely ground to help create the right texture, but it’s different from coconut flour, which is much more absorbent and would make the mixture too dry. Using finely ground desiccated coconut should give you a nice consistency.

Looks amazing and unique recipe 😋 👌...thanks for sharing ❤
Stevia?? 😕 I don’t buy Stevia. How am I going to sweet it properly? I do appreciate the share for it does look appetizing but you also should have left a note for substitutes, darling. I use honey. If it effects consistency then we shall use regular sugar but How Much? 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks again fir sharing. 🌹
You can replace Stevia with honey, but it's important to note that honey contains natural sugars, which makes it unsuitable for a keto diet if you're following one. However, if honey works for you, you can use around 2 to 3 tablespoons as a substitute for Stevia. Just make sure to keep an eye on the consistency of the mixture so it remains firm.
@@Heavens-Kitchen-MMY Right 🫡!
Thanks so much for your suggestion and tip. 👋🏻😄
Me no keto.. me no like keto. 😅 I just enjoy natural sources. I previously tried Stevia but honestly did not find it sweet at all. 😕 My son would still want it but we both agreed honey was better. Thanks again 🌹
Am not on a keto diet & wonder how much sugar can I use ? I won’t be adding honey as it can make the batter runny . With thanks .
@@zarabees2123 She told me to use 2-3 tablespoons honey. Now in baking when it comes to substitution you use a bit more sugar than the amount of honey the recipe calls for since honey is sweeter. Meaning you’ll be using around 1/4 cup sugar. Hope this helped. Ta Ta 👋🏻
Sweetheart forget about all of that. The chef here bless her did not give me the correct substitution as it seemed an honest mistake because she did not know. There is a chart on the net for that and here it is…
Did not work. Ok. Let’s see…
Since Stevia is 200-350 times sweeter than sugar (I don’t taste that, really) they say One packet of Stevia In The Raw® (1 gram) has the sweetness equivalence of two teaspoons of table sugar. Meaning you’ll be adding 1 1/2 cups sugar! 🤦🏻♀️
That is insane. How much sweetness did she put in there Lord only knows! With all respect to her but truly. It isn’t healthy. It will make her crave more sugar. Proven.
@@hana.the.writer5074 Thank you , it will definitely help me & maybe others too.
Hello what do you mean of ground coconut it's discicated coconut?
Yes, by "ground coconut," I mean desiccated coconut that has been finely ground to an almost powder-like consistency. You can either buy finely ground desiccated coconut or grind it yourself in a food processor to get a smooth texture for your recipe.
What if the sesame seeds dont blend into a creamy mixture I tried once but they just got finer not creamy. Any alternative ?
If your sesame seeds aren't blending into a creamy paste, it could be due to insufficient oil content or not blending long enough. Here are a few tips and alternatives to help you get that creamy texture:
Tips to blend sesame seeds into a paste:
Blend longer: It can take a few extra minutes to release the oils and turn the seeds into a paste.
Add oil: You can add a tablespoon of neutral oil (like sesame oil or coconut oil) to help the sesame seeds break down and become creamy.
Use a powerful blender or food processor: A high-powered appliance makes a big difference in achieving a smooth texture.
Alternative:
If it's still not working, you can substitute ready-made tahini (sesame paste). Use about ¾ to 1 cup of tahini as a substitute for the sesame seeds. It will give you the same creamy texture without the need for blending!
Let me know how it turns out! 😊
Is it freshly grated coconut or desiccated coconut ?
For this recipe, it’s desiccated coconut, which is dried coconut that has been finely ground. Freshly grated coconut would have more moisture and could alter the texture of the final product. If you use desiccated coconut, it helps achieve the right consistency for the recipe.
@@Heavens-Kitchen-MMY Thanks
I tried making them today but even though I followed the instructions the mixture was not binding at all. Also crunch of sugar was badly felt. So I cooked the mixture adding some boiling water and then the outcome was tasty...
Thanks for sharing your experience! It sounds like the dryness of the mixture and the texture of the sugar caused some issues. Adding boiling water and cooking the mixture was a smart move-it likely helped to melt the sugar and bind the ingredients together better.
For next time, here are a few tips to help improve the binding and texture without the need to cook:
Use Powdered Sweetener: If you're using regular sugar, try using powdered sugar or blending it to a fine powder before adding it to the mixture. This will prevent the crunchy sugar texture.
Moisture Adjustment: Adding a bit more moisture, like a tablespoon or two of warm water, honey, or even melted butter, can help the mixture bind better.
Chill Longer: Sometimes, letting the mixture chill in the fridge for longer than an hour can help it set more firmly.
I’m glad you found a solution, and it turned out tasty in the end! If you try again with these adjustments, let me know how it goes. 😊
Thanks for your detailed reply...I really appreciate it and will try in future @@Heavens-Kitchen-MMY

Hello why is my finished mixture less runny than yours?
Hello! If your mixture turned out less runny than expected, a few things could be affecting the texture. Here are some possible reasons:
Ingredient Measurements: Small differences in ingredient amounts, especially with dry ingredients like ground coconut or sesame seeds, can impact consistency.
Grinding Time: If the sesame seeds or coconut weren’t ground long enough, they might not release as much oil, making the mixture thicker.
Type of Sweetener: If you used a different type of sweetener (like a granulated one), it could absorb more moisture, leading to a thicker texture.
If needed, you can add a small amount of melted butter, coconut oil, or warm water to adjust the consistency. Let me know if you give it another go! 😊

Wonderful, looks so delicious, thank you for sharing, 173th like from me ❤👍, new friend here, i have a cooking channel too, i've subscribed to your channel 💕🤗🌷
No baking powder?!
Correct, there is no need for baking powder in this recipe since it doesn't require rising or leavening. The mixture is more about binding the ingredients together and setting them in the fridge. However, if you feel the texture could benefit from it or you're adjusting ingredients, you can always experiment with a small pinch, but it's generally not necessary for this type of recipe.
DELICIOSOOO!!!! ❤❤❤
The artificial sweetener will cause more health hazard it's better to use real sugar
I understand your concern! Artificial sweeteners can be a topic of debate, and each person's health needs and preferences are different. While artificial sweeteners work for some, others prefer natural options like honey, maple syrup, or real sugar. In this recipe, real sugar or other natural sweeteners can definitely be used if you’re not following a low-carb or keto diet. Just be mindful that it may affect the texture slightly and add some extra moisture.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
