I got both.. The signal is a good outdoor multitool and the skeletool is a good urban multitool.
Right on! Totally agree, keep your eye out for the next couple videos. More multi-tools/knives incoming!
Which one would you go with for EDC.. you can only have one
I’m getting a signal for my birthday!! So excited!! Thanks for the comparison ☺️
That’s awesome, Congrats!
You’ll love it 👍🏼
I’ve had my skeletool for 6 years. I would go insane with out it I think
I agree. It’s weird how they become absolutely necessary haha
Great video dude! Now I need one baha. I dig the Signal
Thank you! Get one..lol
nice video comparing. was thinking skeletool now signal for sure
Thanks! They’re both great in their own way.. But If I could only have one for a while, it’d be the Signal for sure.
Appreciate this! Been trying to find a a good leatherman. Glad i stumbled upon this. 🙌🏽
You got it man!
I use my skeleton almost daily . Today I noticed my tail light housing on my vehicle was loose and I was ready to repair . Hoping to upgrade to a signal
I use my skeleton daily too. My body falls apart without it.
Dude, thank you so much for your video. It's really cool. I'm definitely going to go with Signal, but I'm really hesitating between green (the one you have) and tan. One thing's for sure, it's going to be my daily!
Absolutely you’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
I’m going to be doing a video on the new Leatherman Arc as well, and compare it a bit. Might be out of a lot of people budget though.
Great video! thanks so much for the comparison! just a small heads up... the "bottle opener" you said that was hard to use is an old school can opener. I've used it a lot but they are fading out cans with no pull system. thanks again, subscribed!
Yo! Thanks for support my friend, shoot yeah I messed that one up. Which is lame because I’ve actually used it as a can opener once. Lol. Anyways, Cheers Mate!
Ha nice! ye it's great! I'm still torn between the two!@@JevonBower
The carabiner is the bottle opener.
Just got the signal (same color as the vid) today to take on my backpacking trip tomorrow here in interior Alaska. I like the emergency features of this multitool- gives me a little bit of reassurance. So does my shotgun.
Oh yeah both could come in handy backpacking in Alaska!
Enjoy your trip!
I have the Signal. At 7.6 ounces it's weighty to EDC. It's more fitted for backpacking/fishing/hunting, to keep on you in case you get separated from your gear in an emergency. The Skelitool is better suited for urban EDC. i don't have one, am considering buying one because of the weight reduction & it has the most tools i use regularly. I have a Rebar which is really useful, with a good tool set.
I still EDC the signal.. I don’t mind a little weight but the Skeletool is definitely a lighter more minimal option.
i EDC the skeletool since 4 or 5 years , nothing to say it's an amazing one for EDC , never without it.
I offer my dad on for his birthday and he loves it , using it everyday since 2 years (he is fsherman) and my uncle use to have some wave+ , now he rocks skeletool everyday too (he is a marine enginer)
It's lightweight and that's a so good thing. He doesnn't have all the featurs but it's more then needed for an everyday basis.
Thinking about adding the hammer upgrade to the skeletool
I want a modified skeletool (i want the hammer with 4mm & 8mm drivers and the #4 scaple blade replacement)
Idealisticly speaking I'd honestly prefer the pliers to be OTF so I could apply opening or closing pressure to the pliers (like for a snapring or expanding an opening etc etc) and to have a wire crimper tool.... I would complain about the proprietary bits but not only is there a huge aftermarket of stuff that fits in the driver head I like the way the skeletool's bit retention and how you can easily mod such a wide range of commercially available saw blades to fit
For me the useful tool missing from them both are scissors. For me, they both require keeping a Victorinox SD on the keychain for snipping tags, threads, or cutting off admittance bands. I would like to see a version of the skeletool that has scissors in place of the bit driver. I want grip, slice, and snip.
I’m into that idea!
I’ve been carrying the Arc - solves the scissor problem!
Agree with keeping the SD on keychain is a great . Victorinox Rambler is a better option because of the blade and scissors open away from the keyring offering better ergonomics.
Well, I couldn't decide so I got both of them.
I don’t blame you.. Keep an eye out for my upcoming Video on the new Arc!
On your signal, that bottle opener looks like it is actually a tin opener!
It might be a combi bottle/can opener
I have both and tbh I was very disappointed with the signal. The ferro and sharpener were just pointless to me.
I can understand that.. I think in a total emergency situation it would be helpful. Have you see the custom replacements parts people are making to go in the slides instead of the Diamond Blade Sharpener?
Signal rules! I use it outdoor and urban. Nobody knows when a apocalypse will happens.... 😅
Suoer tool 300 top
Yeah I think the fixed-in screwdrivers could be nice to have on the SuperTool 300..
The carabiner doubles up as a bottle opener!
Yep! Double Whammy
6:29 ... There is nothing like that butt end #HammerFist.
7:10 ... Yeah, that still bent. Duh.
I absolutely love the skeletool, definitely a good edc. However, over the years Ive figured out that really the blade and the pliers are the best part of multitools. Bottle opener and bit drivers are a big plus. Can't beat SOG on pliers, PowerAccess Assist my new edc.
Right on!
I remember when the Leatherman first came out. The tools were very, very hard to deploy.
Signal all the way. It's heavy duty.
Yeah I love my signal!
