I have one of these and fought this problem. One day I suddenly realized the answer - I take a can of compressed air and put the "straw" into the air hole on the faucet, SEAL IT WITH MY FINGER AGAINST THE FAUCET AND STRAW and blast the air for a couple seconds. The dishwasher or disposal back flushing junk into the pipe is the culprit. Air blast every couple weeks or if it gurgles, 10 second fix. I've been doing this for years.
Thanks SO MUCH for your detailed video. I followed what you did and that was my exact problem. - it was an quick, easy fix!. Yay!!! I tried blowing air in the hole as well and it didn't do anything. So happy I didn't have to call a plumber.
How often should we do this? Twice this year we have been in our basement and hear dripping noises to come upstairs and find water EVERYWHERE. I knew it was a clogged drain line based on extensive research lol and it fixed the issue but we never know when it’ll happen.
I’ve been researching the correct location for the drain saddle and they recommend not installing near or under the garbage disposal drain line because debris from the disposal clogs the line. They have an adapter you can install to the disposals dishwasher connection which drains straight to the garbage disposal vs drain pipe. Looks very easy to install and have excellent reviews
Man, I just special ordered a replacement Air Gap faucet because Menard's said thats what it was and now it's fixed. Going to keep the part, just in case though.
my problem was slightly different ...had this same problem of water leaking out........ tried this and a couple other things but what worked for me was pulling the drain hose out from that blue fitting thing on drain then letting it hang used a air compressor at 30 psi and pushed air from the vent on the faucet and it spit out a chunk of gunk on the floor and bam works flawlessly now!
Your drain line should be mounted above your P trap. Right now, your drain line is sitting in the waste water that is sitting in the trap which is likely why you are accumulating debris in the RO drain line.
I cleaned mine out but it’s still leaking…I turned the water on and let it run disconnected from the p trap. Perhaps I didn’t let it run enough. I checked and water was flowing out but still leaking from the top. I connected the tube back and let it run but it’s still leaking. Maybe I need to get one of those long pipe cleaners and run that through. Thanks for the help.
I checked there was no clogging at the end. Check the red tub for water restrictions, no issue found. I was about to give up then a thought crossed my mind, I blew the blue tube with high air pressure and the disgusting stuffs came out from the hole behind the faucet. Nasty. So it’s clog right at the faucet end. At least it stop leaking now. 😅
Had this problem except it wasn’t fixing it so I took apart my ptrap it had a little bit of debris so I took a straw cleaner and put it in the port on the drain and it seemed to work

Thank you sir! I will give it a try!
You can also use a metal hanger to unclog the line.
Thanks for the video my dude

Thank you! Great suggestion.
It also looks like the drain line is longer than it should be. It droops below the point where it connect to the the drain pipe.

it worked for me, thanks a lot.
Thanks.. going to give it a try... Stay safe
The saddle connection had moved, blocking the drain hole.... thanks again
Thank you , it worked.
Thanks-you for sharing, very helpful.

Move the drain line away from the disposal and shorten the blue line so the debris can't sit in the low spot.
Blue line or white line ?
@@小金宝-v4i both actually
Thanks a lot. This was super helpful. Hope I could find this before removing the faucet. Now I am having hard time tightening it up.
Is there a one way flow valve that would prevent garbage disposal back wash into RO drain line? I have exact same issue… Plumber didn’t resolve it
I cleaned mine out and it’s still squirting out. I have to disconnect and see if water comes out. Thanks.
I like because it’s solved my leaks
Does the RO system just constantly drain water like that? I noticed you didn't have the RO faucet on but it was still draining water?
Thankyou ! It helped.
Glad to hear that
This also raises a concern: is the water from the filter system that nasty? Like all dirt and minerals? Mine came out BLACK. NASTY.
Super thanks 👍
Had this problem except it wasn’t fixing it so I took apart my ptrap it had a little bit of debris so I took a straw cleaner and put it in the port on the drain and it seemed to work
Thank you Sir!!
Most welcome!
Heck yeah brother thank you
Thank you
Thanks so much!!
You're welcome!
This really helped
It worked!!!
If you just hooked it up, and water is shooting out of the weep hole instead of the faucet, it's because you have the two large lines reversed.
thank you it helped
Glad it helped
OK so this may sound gross but I was able to get my mouth over the weep hole and blow into it and it did the same thing as this video shows
Just installed and its doing it with no clogging its brand new what else can it be?
Your drain is too low, should be a couple inches above you p-trap
