OMG I am sooo happy you told me all of that, I almost wasted so much money on a standard faucet, when I could buy the same air gap faucet for 1/2 the price same company same faucet everything. Is good to know that the air gap wont effect the drinking water

In just a few minutes, you have clearly explained how an air gap faucet works. Do you have any videos on how to actually install one?

If for some reason it leaks that means the drain/outline (big one) is clogged and needs to be cleaned.

I shut off the water feed line slowly, after cleaning out build up in the airhole. Then funny thing, when i turned water off slowly, the gurgle only stopped when off completely, i turned water feedline back on and oddly no gurgle. Probably will usually not help you but try it. They do normally gurgle when filtering unless tank is full or water is off. Sometimes loud. trying to clean the drain line didn't help that gurugle.
The air hole was nearly blocked on mine so it whistled, i scraped out white hard water build up in 5 minutes, no wd40 (wd 40 is bad if lines block up cause i think it could then hit your fresh filtered water.

I've got one hole in my counter and am wanting to install a 3-stage under the sink...but I have to keep an air gap by code. So, I was hoping that I could connect that little pipe underneath to my dishwasher feed and the larger one to my drain - but it looks like from someone's question below that it'd not be big enough for the dishwasher volume. Any tips on how to solve my issue or do I just need to suck it up and drill another hole in the quartz? Thx!

I used to have a no Air Gap Hole faucet, it broke. I got a new one with the Air Gap Hole. I connected it accordingly. Then, once a while, the Air Gap Hole generates a strange sound like draining/bubbling, which is quite loud and annoying. Please advise me how to solve this problem?

Charles Yue that’s normal bud... it’s one of the down sides. As the tank is refilling it will make that noise. Good thing is that the air gap faucet is acceptable for building code everywhere.

You can get rid of the air gap noise by relocating the air gap with a kit, I have a video on my channel on how to do that

Is it possible to use the air gap from the filter faucet as the air gap for the dishwasher? Like a dual function airs gap / water faucet?

Probably would not be a good idea, considering the kind of flow necessary for the dishwasher to drain. It would overwhelm the 1/4" tubing.

But what are the pros and cons of each

Reverse osmosis. It's for under-sink water filtration.
