You have reminded me of my Mom and Gramma "rescuing" a dry cake by warming it and pouring a brown sugar sauce over the cut pieces. I wasn't a fan of ice cream as a kid--made my metal-filled teeth hurt--but will enjoy it with this now I have new non-metal fillings. I'll be making this Broonie for sure. 🥰
I love Lyle's products. I buy them online here in America. I have found Treacle, but usually Molasses is easier to find. Love the Sticky Toffee Puddings, in any form. Thanks for the recipe. Love your channel. I watch Saturday, Sunday, and the recipes. Thanks for all you share with us! Hugs!
My Nana and Mum are from Ayrshire 🥹. I miss my Nana so much and felt great comfort in listening to your lovely voice. Thank you for this delicious demonstration 💝✨
This looks incredible ! 😋😋😋 I will make sure to wear elastic waist pants 👖 when I make it! My friends will be begging me for an invite, that’s for sure ! Thanks Cheryl! 💕🇺🇸
Hi Cheryl. My Mom used to make what she called crumb cake. I have not been able to find a recipe that comes close to what she made. Being from old school Glasgow, I think maybe it was a traditional thing. I'm hoping you might have an idea of what it was. Cake was similar in colour and to texture to bran muffins, with a sugary crumbly topping. She used to make sticky brownies, and a lot of the traditional stuff you make. Thanks, from BC Canada, for your great content
Oh I miss sticky toffee pudding! Yours looks delicious and I can’t wait to try it, but need to wait a while for the weather to change. It’s 42 C here today (107 F!) and I feel like I’m melting 🫠 Definitely missing Scotland in the Autumn today!
Cheryl this looks so delicious it looks like a Fall dessert Thank you for sharing it with Us all God bless you Sweet Friend from America 🇺🇸 Cathy 🙏🏻✝️☮️🥰🥰🍀
No dates in your sticky toffee pudding , the sticky toffee pudding i make has dates and bicarbonate of soder . We still make the sauce the same .Thank you for sharing your day. Take care and all the best. 😄😄👍👍👍👍💟💖

Hi Cheryl! I honestly could eat the whole pan of this. We don't have this in America. I guess the closest thing would be gingerbread.

Ah, well, I think I'd guessed a sticky toffee pudding! Close! 😂
The oats make it healthy, right? TFS
oh no! my hips are gonna hate me 🫣
One of my favorites. Going to try your version. Interesting that treacle is used instead of dates.
The cake itself is basically Parkin cake? Looks fab 😋😋👍
Much easier recipe than my Date Sticky Toffee Pudding. I believe this came from North West England. Sauces much the same tho'.
