2:10 I have done this but my thrust washer won’t go back on. I had to tap it off like you did but it won’t go back on all the way and is like 10mm from being flush like it was. I have tried to push it back on and lightly tap it back on but it won’t budge. Do you know what I’m doing wrong or how I can get it back on as easily as you did?

      Hi Jamie,
I am sorry to hear you are having trouble. Cutri is a very seasoned mechanic and makes everything look easy. That being said, it is very easy to bend the thrust washer. Apply grease generously and if it does not go on smooth, toss and replace it. You do not want to reapply a damaged or bent part and potentially damage a very expensive part or lose your propeller as a result. Best of luck to you!
      Kind regards!

I have a 1992 OB mercury 175 and I am lost on how to remove the prop. See attached photos, any idea what tools needed to remove the prop?

Good afternoon! Thanks for watching the video as he is always such a great resource. The only thing you should need tool wise would be: what you saw in the video to help loosen, a flathead screwdriver as seen, a prop wrench or a socket wrench with the correct socket size and possibly a hub wrench. We would love to be able to help you identify some of these either on our site or by calling 1-888-625-5460 and speaking with any of our customer service agents!
      Regards and happy boating!

Great video but when i restrain the prop and turn the nut, the washer, the tab lock washer and the shaft turns with it. Any ideas?

@richardgalasso-k4t I’m having the same issue. Did you get it to work? Do I have the wrong size prop or something?

Ok I figured it out. The spare prop is missing a sleeve that if the prop hits something that plastic sleeve can break and save your lower unit. Not sure if I can try to take out the one in the old prop or not

You never showed the sleeve on the inside of the prop or what to do with it . Grease it. Don’t grease it, etc

      Hey There William,
Thank you for watching! I know that not all engines require a bore sleeve. I am so sorry that wasn't included in this video. See below for details.
      Install the Bore Sleeve:
Take the new bore sleeve and apply a thin layer of marine-grade grease to its exterior and the interior of the propeller hub.
Insert the bore sleeve into the propeller hub. If the fit is tight, you can use a rubber mallet to gently tap it into place. Ensure it is seated evenly and flush within the hub. Finish installing the propeller!
